  You did not mention what e-mail program you use. These instructions will help you with Outlook Express.

  Spend most of your messages out of the Inbox if you can and move the messages you want to record off deleted items, and sent items. Locate the OE message store and then close OE.

  Compact all folders as described below.

  To avoid this in the future:

  Do not archive mail in the receipt or sent items box. Create your own user-defined folders and move messages you want to put in them. Empty the deleted items folder daily. Although the dbx files have a theoretical capacity of 2 GB, I recommend all a 300 MB max for less risk of corruption.

  After you're done, followed by compacting your folders manually while working * off * and do it often.

  Click Outlook Express at the top of the the folder tree so no folders are open. Then: File | Work offline (or double-click on work online in the status bar). File | Folder | Compact all folders. Don't touch anything until the compacting is completed.

  Disable analysis in your e-mail anti-virus program. It is a redundant layer of protection that devours the processors and causes a multitude of problems such as time-outs and account setting changes. • I'm trying to remove entries from registry of Magic Jack. Regedit will not, remove said "error when deleting" key.

  Magic Jack stopped working.  I called their support line (a loss of two hours of my time and of their time).

  Found a "Magic Jack to repair" video on YouTube which has led me to the removal of the registry option.

  Tried to download "regdelnull."  Downloaded the zip file but cannot open it.
  I think they want me to buy something RAR.

  Regedit would not let me open the 'properties '.  Says an error has prevented the opening.

  Only the System account has full control over any of the Enum sets of control keys and subkeys, you must grant you the necessary permissions to delete the entries in the HKEY_LOCAL_MACHINE\SYSTEM\CurrentControlSet\Enum key.

  If you have deleted Magic Jack you must restart the computer to recharge the control defined as the system or Device Manager may still have handles on some of them also removed entries.

  RegDelNull is a free utility from SysInternals, I don't know where you try to download the file but it seems to me that you have downloaded a parasite or scamware rather than the free utility, download the utility here: RegDelNull v1.1

  I use POP on Thunderbird version 31.7.0. I put the box "Leave Messages on server" and box "until I delete them. (Some articles say that the message is "until I have delete or move them from the Inbox" but my option just says "until I delete them".) It is perhaps a matter of version). When I delete a message from my Inbox, it is NOT deleted from the gmail Server inbox.   I read the email in Thunderbird and then deleted. I compacted files. Then, I went into the Inbox, gmail and up-to-date, but email is still there. I did all the steps in the correct order or is there something else I'm missing.

  Hmm, that's always worked for me.  Maybe you can post a small example script showing how it does not work for you?

  The answer to your question of title, is that you cannot correct this situation by using the Organizer.  Without a doubt, something in your database (catalogue) is screwed up.  The database is a SQLite database, so if you know someone who is a type of database that is experienced, it can use a database query tool to clean the entries in the media_table table.  This can be more or less a complicated matter, depending on how much other data you must save - you will certainly need to work closely with him on this issue.

  The best thing to do, of course, is to create a new catalog and start from scratch.  Lose all your work with labels and albums will result, but...

  At least now you know how to get copies of your photos in the Organizer in the right way.

  I understand that the messages will not be deleted when you manage your webmail in Firefox. I'd be more than happy to help, however I might suggest trying first Safe Mode to ensure that it is not not a hardware acceleration or add on interfering with the operation of the site.

• Outlook express 6.0 will not remove messages from my Inbox

  Quite suddenly OE will not delete messages in my Inbox after that I read the using the button Delete 'X' some but it will be no more.  They can be removed by using ctrl-alt-delete.  My boxes of sent and deleted items are almost empty.  This has only become a less of an issue these days.  I'm open to suggestions.

  I use Thunderbird to check out and check all my mail for GMX.net. Since I want to only do this sporadically, I opted for the portable version (currently 31.4.0).) Download works very well and does move emails into local folders. However, when I checked the size of the Thunderbird folder, it seemed a bit heavy. Turns out that all mails were stored in two places - the Inbox folder of reception/mail (such as pop.gmx.net) AND in local folders (in separate files, reflecting the local folder names).

  Is this a normal behavior, can I disable it and simply delete the Inbox file manually without break?

  Here are the steps I followed:

  (1) create a local folder ('Hello')
  (2) ctrl + an Inbox in
  (3) right click, select move - local folders - 'Hello '.

  A lot depends on how you configure your pop server
  What to do with the deleted files and if keep you them on the server
  and what you do on files properties

  How can I delete messages received in bulk?  I use Windows Mail/VISTA.

  Yay!  I finally had to remove it with your help!  I chose the original email to remove then scroll down for the final message to remove, but before choosing it, I held down the control and shift together key at the same time, and then I clicked on the last email to delete, then selected the icon to delete (X) at the top and now the shift keys and command down.  It took several minutes to remove 2,000 emails, but I still 16 000 more to go.  I think I'll just delete them all at once... it takes maybe 15 minutes or more to clear them at the same time!  Thank you, thank you!... Now to get my Windows mail to stop appearing in the Security window to enter my username and password for (whenever I have enter them, Windows Mail sent me a few thousand emails duplicate!)  I already deleted and then recreated the accounts, so I hope it works!
