  Of the Original installation CD:
  1. Insert the CD in the drive and then cancel Setup
  2. open my computer and click right then on the CD from the drive and select open
  3 open the Util folder
  4 open the CCC folder
  5. If you have an HP computer, run the L3uninstall.exe. If you have a computer not HP, run the L4uninstall.exe
  6. once the uninstall is complete, restart the computer
  7 run the Accessories\ System Tools Disk Cleanup
  8. download and install the latest version of Adobe flash player
  http://www.Adobe.com/support/flashplayer/downloads.html
  9 download drivers and full software features

  Thanks for the information. Please follow the steps below to perform an uninstall/reinstall the Deskjet 1010 software and drivers:

  First step: clear temp directory

  1. Type %temp% term or search programs and files of field
  2. Select all the files in this folder, and then press the delete key to remove. If you receive a message that the file is in use, you will need to ignore this file (s).
  3. Proceed to step 2 below

  Second step: downloaded and extracted to your system:

  1 download the drivers and full software features

  2. once the download is complete, double-click the file to extract the software.

  7. close this window and all open windows, and then in the Middle the desktop right click your mouse and select Paste. This will move the 7z folder on your desktop.

  8 open the 7z, that you just copied on your desktop

  9 open the Util folder

  10 open the CCC folder

  11 start the uninstall_L4

  12. once the uninstall is complete, restart the computer

  13. run disk cleanup from the tools Accessories\ system under all programs folder

  14. download and install the latest version of Adobe flash player

  I actually do not need this software for printing, because the printer works fine on the network, but I need a way to analyze things on network and if I understand the only way to do that is through this software.

  I had to remove some drivers duplicate on my pc, so I ended up remove bad. So I deleted everything in order to install a new copy, but the same problem occurred even with the new user.

  I can't get the software to install.  Abandonment keeps telling me that there is another incomplete installation pending.  Here's the exact message:

  Since you get an error message when you try to install the Lifecam software and States error installation is already in progress, I would like to use the Windows Installer Cleanup tool. Click here to download the cleaning tool. You can use the utility to remove installation information for programs that were installed by using Windows Installer. Remember that Windows Installer CleanUp Utility does not remove the actual program from your computer. However, it will remove the installation files so that you can start the installation, upgrade, or uninstall on.

  Once you have installed the tool, right-click on the installation executable and select "Run as Administrator". Then a list of programs is listed. Select the Lifecam software you want to uninstall. This will remove all corrupted files installation. Then restart the software installation.

  Hope this will help get your software installed and working tools.

• Uninstall the software for HP 5700

  My old HP 5700 printer died yesterday.  I want to uninstall its software before installing for my new HP printer, but any control panel > Add / Remove Programs displays the HP software, there is no 'Delete' option to uninstall.

  Is there no "Uninstall.exe" file in the records of HP.  Is it safe - and effective - just to delete the HP folder and all subfolders?

  I am running Win XP SP3.

  I just bought this printer yesterday and have worked all this time, trying to get the software installed.   I used the CD that came with the printer.  I used the software online and the wizard to download and install.  I went through many forums here and troubleshooted with everything I saw.   I get the error message cannot install message.

  I am frustrated at something so simple in the past became a chore.   I only use HP products for my scanners/printers and I fear that my next step may be to pack up this unit and take it back to the store for another brand.

  I finally managed to install my software.    I have download an other registery cleaner and found more stragglers and I found about 5 gig in addition to free on my main partition.   I suspect that the limitations on my hard disk partition may have contributed to the inability to install software.   However, I did so many steps, so I'm not sure that you allowed me to complete the process.  But there was something different and who has been installing the update of the firmware that was on the page of the software product and the drivers.    Thank you for your help and support.

  I tried to run the software supplied with the unit and the RT does not.

  Try to add the printer manually. Use of the printer not found option, create a port pointing to its IP address and then watch the list of preinstalled drivers under brother. It is described as a GDI printer, so I can't say that would work.

  This page lists the Brother for Windows RT compatibility and read the note at the top: http://welcome.solutions.brother.com/bsc/public_s/id/os/windows_rt.html however, it would be useful if they specified driver that actually works for each model. It is not yours quote specifically, but it does not include wireless models and series 2100 so there is a chance, I suspect that the list is not exhaustive because not all models have been tested.

  I need to re - install my photosmart b109a, because during the installation (from downloaded driver) I get the following error:

  Check that the file exists and that you can access.

  Running Windows 7 SP 1 with all updates installed on a HP Pavilion series of G.

  I am trying to install my HP Photosmart C4750.

  First of all, I tried to install using the CD that came with the printer. When he went to find my printer on my network it couldn't find it so I had to connect it to my laptop via a USB cable (not a problem as I've done it before).   I set for myself... I disabled my Norton Firewall during installation and it finds my printer and ran without any problems. Sorry I haven't posted this earlier, but I had a lot of scanning to do.

  I have a strange problem.  In the past, I had this laptop just awesome to work with my Windows Home Server 2011 probook and to perform backups.  However, more than a month, I was not able to connect to my laptop and Support HP told me to reinstall Win 7 Pro from the recovery partition.  After doing this and re - install all my other software, I am not able to connect to my WHS to make backups.  I go as far as to enter the password administrator WHS, and he comes back and tells me that the "laptop can't connect to the network.  Because it does not say that the password is incorrect, he acts as he never reached the server in the first place.  I can see the WHS from the file Explorer and can see shared folders and I can even remote desktop connection to the server.  However if I ping, she gets there and what's funny, the IP address in the ping a computer on the web is pointing (IP: 198.x.x.x) not to my WHS located 192.168.0.x.

  I have two different desktop (mine and wife) that she backs up by my WHS, so I know that the problem must be local to the laptop.

  Does anyone have a suggestion in the resolution of this problem?

  BUT I solved the problem!

  I used what I learned on the networks since BACK to try to solve this problem and none of it worked.   The way I see this problem, it is a name resolution problem.  Then later this afternoon, I had a thought of my DSL line break so that my computer could not see outside my home network.  I then did a ' ping whs2011 ' and after a response delayed, he returned with a great success and it shows an IPv6 address!  This is why I could not see my server in the House because he did not use TCP/IP version 4 to communicate with my server at home.

  Now I am able to install the connect to the home server software and later I was able to restore my personal files.
