Impossible to update Windows Photo Gallery, when well even the update is set to automatic

I went to see a few photos in an application in an email I sent and received the message from Windows Photo Gallery,... that 'library can't open this photo or video. This file format is not supported or you do not have the latest updates to the photo gallery.  I have my Windows Update to automatically install important updates and I check my updates manually every day when I get on the computer first.

Assuming Vista SP2 is installed...

    A. right click on Task Manager open the

    B. click the tab process, along the upper part of the
    The Task Manager screen.

    C. in the process tab, select the corresponding button at the bottom

    Confirm 'End process' if necessary.

You should now be able to save your changes to

  • my notebook, ProBook 450 G2 go goes into sleep mode when well even parameters of energy set to never.

My notebook, ProBook 450 G2 goes into sleep mode when well even parameters of energy set to never. The operating system is Windows 7 Professional.  I had a technician Microsoft verifiez_ the. I also had HP tech check the. They both said that it was a hardware problem. I sent it to HP to fix it and they replaced the motherboard and said that they have tested. When I came back, it entered into mode 'sleep' again. I left my laptop for about 15 minutes and when I came back it was in mode 'sleep'. This always occurs after the laptop remained for about 15 minutes.

    Does anyone have a solution?

I sent my laptop repair HP. They replaced some cables and motherboard, but it does not solve the problem. They finally replaced the Windows 7 operating system. Basically they gave me a new system. I spent 3 days to update windows with all the updates and then re-loading of my programs. What a mess!

  • Windows Photo Gallery does not save the edited images.

I have problems editing contrast and red-eye with Windows Photo Gallery.  I get rid of the red eye and change the brightness, close gallery and get an error message "an error prevents photo library to save this image."  The image isn't 'read only', it is a jpeg file, and I am the owner/user.  I edited many other images, but now it restricts me to do these as well as a few others that I've ever edit.  Any ideas on what's going on?

    Hello sjleite,

Thanks for posting on the Microsoft answers Community Forum.

If you encounter problems, saving images edited when you could before, I would ask

If you have installed the 3rd party software that may interfere with the Windows Photo Gallery.

    (1) If you have a third Party photo editing software, try removing it and see if that doesn't

    correct your problem.

    (2) other forums, I found several mentions to be a problem with a corrupted author field. Look in the file properties Details page. You can get the properties on the photo in question, scroll to the right section of author and origin and remove characters. Select apply and close the file. If the field of copyright has no characters to remove, try adding a few characters and then delete them.

    (3) the last thing to try is to check the permission on the Windows Photo Gallery.

Go at the beginning and list programs. Right-click on the icon of photo gallery windows live and go to properties. Select tab security put highlight the Everyone group, click the button change. Put a control under all permissions allow. Then do the same for the users group. Click on apply or OK.

If please post again and let us know if these suggestions helped solve your problem or if you need further assistance.

    Sincerely,

    Marilyn

  • -Download of WPG - Windows Photo Gallery how to adjust the size of the image

I imported a group of images in Windows Photo Gallery.  I am trying to download these photos in an internal company website (internal SharePoint site).  When I hit browse in SharePoint, it displays the file in the WPhoto Gallery, which is a huge size 2500 x 2500, etc..  How to set the size to upload in SharePoint?

    Hello PrSue,

Thank you for using the Microsoft Windows Vista Forums.

I suggest that you use Microsoft Office Picture Manager to perform this task. You can open the folder containing the pictures, right click on any of the image and select Open with , then select Microsoft Office Picture Manager or do the same thing within the photo gallery.

The image should open with MS Picture Manager, click change photo in the main menu. Select resize in the right pane, select resize settings (right pane) option you want, and then click Ok

I have an arch support which crashed, but I still see thumbnails of photos in windows photo gallery.  Is anyway to recover the photos without the current HARD disk media Vault?

If you have lost the data on this drive very thin sound, you will be able to recover the data. However, there are programs 3rd party which can sometimes recover according to how much of the road is damaged.

  • Windows Photo Gallery does not open the zipped files

Photo Gallery Windows does not open the photos that are in the zipped files received by Email. He said: Photo Gallery can't open this photo or video. This file format is not supported, or you do not have the latest updates to the photo gallery.

    This is expected behavior...

Unzip the file and open the uncompressed version. Or just open
the zip files and do drag the photos on the zip file and
drop in a new folder.then you can open.
