  I just upgraded to el captain and impossible to find the other version of iPhoto libraries created to store photos older.  With iPhoto, I used the 'option' key when you open iPhoto and could select one of the old libraries to open.  I do not see them in the new application photos after the upgrade.  Where did go and how can I get back them?

  Oh, BTW, I use Time Machine to backup to a local HD so I hope that the worst of the case here, it is that I have to restore from a backup.  But if this is the case, how to create multiple versions of libraries of Photos?

  Hi guys,.

  I'm under iPhoto 9.2.3 on Snow Leopard and want to move to El captain.

  I have read that I need iPhoto 9.6.1 until I upgrade to El Captain so I still want to use iPhoto.

  Problem is that 9.2.3 is the latest available version of iPhoto on Snow Leopard, so I'm stuck here somehow.

  I had a quick glance under the items purchased on the app store, but since my iLife came with a DVD and therefore not bought for download, I guess it will never reveal under the items purchased.

  So I also assume that as soon as I upgrade to El Captain, iPhoto does not open and I won't be able to update iPhoto to 9.6.1

  Does anyone have an idea on how I could always upgrade level to El captain and stick to iPhoto?

  A member of the family has iPhoto installed 9.6.1, so they could install it for you on your Mac?

  Otherwise, you can refresh only with the help of the Support App Store, but they are very reluctant to help if iPhoto has not been purchased on the App Store.

  One way to continue to work with iPhoto would be to create a clone your mac to an external drive bootable and boot into snow leopard since the external hard drive, if you wish to continue using iPhoto.

  But in the long run, switch to Photos for Mac.  Apple improves Photos for Mac with each update of the system.  iPhoto is becoming less and less supported. Maps and locations are no longer supported in iPhoto 9.4.3 or earlier, Apple is more does not support printing for iPhoto projects, latest applications can appear more the iPhoto library in the media browser.

  Force to leave the Mac App Store app by following the directions below:

  1. Select the Apple menu () in the upper left corner of the office.

  2. Select Force Quit... menu option.

  3. Select App Store in the list.

  4. Select force quit in the lower right window of Applications to leave power.

  Then, restart your computer. Once your computer has restarted, open the Terminal application and restart the dock with the instructions below.

  1 type killall Dock in the Terminal window.

  2. press the enter key.

  Now try to redownload OS X El Capitan on the App Store. If this did not resolve your problem, please let us know.

  Maybe there is a problem of a catalogue of PowerPC upgrade to an Intel processor.  I finally mangaged to open my catalog (PowerPC) LR1 in LR4 (Intel) by installing the demo version of LR2 on Intel, opening the catalog LR1 in LR2 and then by opening the new catalogue LR2 LR4 that will modernize in then it.  Problem solved.

  Maybe I looking for a new machine an imac (second hand one) maybe you can help me.

  I use my laptop computer black macbook 13 "end 2007 with 4 GB memory and Lion. Strangely I watch Apple features should be able to upgrade my machine so it tells me that it is impossible. (I'm not surprised because the fan turns as it will explode and the video card is obviously having a bad time...)

  Reason I'm making this post is first of all I was in the shops of second hand and more all machine 2008 have the last osX soft captain. Not that I fancy having cos design * but just curious...

  I'm checkin ebay and I see (from my saved money) I can choose an imac 27' 2011 A1312, do not know, I think even for a round of Mac Pro G5 2009 (many hds... using my old 22' screens etc. video editing)

  Trier just to run the El captain of my Mac Book Pro late 2008, 500GB, 4 GB upgrade Yosemity.

  After several attempts, I have to capitulate.

  The Message is that the absence during the installation and the options are retry and save the log file.

  Before the upgrade, it worked very well with all the problems.

  This could be a missing file that had not resulted in anything until an update.  I had to save and clean install the operating system. I had a similar problem and take mine to the Apple Store to be fixed, it turns out was a broken HD support, who can apparently cause this problem.  You must back up either with Time Machine or external plug your hard drive to another computer and copy the files you want to save. (TimeCapsule is easier), then take it in to be looked at, they can run Diagnostics on the Apple Store.

  My upgrade to Yosemite el captain has been interrupted, and now when I boot it goes directly to the os x Installer and when I try to select my disc to install it says theres not enough of free space...

  When I reboot it just for that again and again and again.

  I tried the following:

  Boot into recovery and boot disk mode by selecting (nothing appears)

  Boot into recovery mode, go to the disc utilities and the repair disc (not help)

  Boot into recovery mode and re - install from there (gives the same error)

  Can I delete files via the terminal?

It can also give you a fairer read disk space than the Finder or storage tab of the about this Mac. If you want you can even delete files from OmniDisk Sweeper.

  After upgrading my iMac (late 2009) to El captain the sound no longer works. Trying to open the preferences-> the error message appear that this could not be loaded. Other sounds associated with apps like audio / midi set up crashes.

• Photo Downloader Adobe Bridge recognizing only no camera after upgrading to El captain in Mac

  Recently, I upgraded my Macbook Pro to El captain, since then my Adobe Bridge Photo downloader no longer recognizes my cards or camera. It is not the USB cable as iPhoto wants to quickly download photos I want to use. Anyone have any idea if it is a small problem with the new OS or would be - something else and if the former there is a fix for it soon?

  Discovered Adobe Bridge CC with Mac OS 10.11 (El Capitan) does not work with many USB devices to import images (including iPhone).

Applications and third-party drivers for vendor-specific USB devices may require modification. "This is something APPLE has changed, that I hope that Adobe can answer, because now there is no real solution. I use this work around:

  • Import images with Photos Apple app
    • Choose file > export > export Original unmodified
  • Save the files where you want
  • Batch rename the images and add metadata in Adobe Bridge

• Impossible to upgrade due to refuse to change my address / location

  Here's my problem and I hope someone can put me on the right track.  I bought several Adobe programs while living in the Netherlands. I moved to Curacao, last year. Now I want to upgrade to CS4 CS3 and Lightroom 1.4 to 2.0 seams to be impossible, because in the ADOBE database, I am registered for the Netherlands and you cannot change that. Or ADOBE will do it for me, despite my urgent questions. So I made a new account but here I have 2 problems, you can't choose Netherlands Antilles as home address and my credit card is still linked to my other email address and to the Netherlands (this is what adobe tells me but that changed a year ago in the Netherlands Antilles visa) announces a new question on the adobe Web site does not move forward me they answer after 3 days and sometimes not at all.  Then... legally the upgrade and move from the pc to the mac platform seems impossible now.  All of you who can tell me how to proceed?
