  • HP Officejet 5740: after that 10 updated iOS, cannot print from the iPad

    Hello

I've updated my iPad to iOS 10.1.1 2 Air.  I can't print remotely.  It runs from my other devices (phone, Macbook Air) Apple which have not been updated to iOS 10.  I use AiO Remote.  The iPad recognizes the printer and the IP address is correct.  I was able to print from my iPad yesterday until I updated.

    I appreciate your help.

    Hi @AllanAAB,

    Welcome to the HP Forums!

I came across your post where you are unable to print from the iPad after iOS update. I would like to help.

Please refer to this article http://hp.care/2bSjSnW , he explains how to use AirPrint and also troubleshooting steps to solve the problems with it.

Recommend that you remove the printer from the iPad, and then reconnect the printer on the iPad. (Display settings and select Wi - Fi, if the printer is listed, click on the i on the right side of the printer that there are listed and select forget this network/printer.) And reconnect the printer)

Restart the router, printer, and iPad. I'm sure you could have already tried this.

Also, look for the printer firmware updates (if applicable, on www.hp.com/drivers) and also check if there are other updates released by Apple via iTunes.

Remove the HP all-in - One Printer remote app on the iPad and reinstall it.

Let me know if this helped.

  • photosmart HP 6520 trying to print from the ipad, but it keeps telling me tray paper empty

I try to print from my ipad and it still says that the paper tray is empy, when it is not.  I think he wants to "photo paper" and I don't want to print a photo.  ??

    HI Vicki_O,

Welcome to the Forums of HP's Support. I understand that when I try to print from your iPad using Apple's AirPrint feature that you have found an error output of paper for the printer Photosmart 6520.

I suspect that you are right and the AirPrint feature is that the document is printed as an image file, so it's like a photo manipulation. I have included document Basics AirPrint from Apple. For any additional consultation, I've also included HP How to use Apple AirPrint on a wireless network.

If you want more that what is available with Apple's AirPrint printing options, you can use the application Mobile HP ePrint. I've included the HP ePrint Mobile App FAQ document.

If you want to scan from your printer directly on your iPad, you can always download the AiO Printer Remote app from HP.   I've included the HP all-in-One Printer Remote Mobile App FAQ document.

I'm trying to get my iPad to print using the HP Home & biz on my D7400 printer software. Web pages say it is compatible, but no instructions on the implementation of the offer (at least that I can find). Any help would be greatly appreciated. Yes, the application does not provide an option to print from Safari.

Don't forget to activate the soft (settings > ePrint record) by providing an e-mail address, then you will get an activation code.

As soon as the app is registered, you will be able to print web pages using the Web in-app browser.

  • OfficeJet 4500 G510n-z: HP Office Jet 4500 G510n-z fails to print over wireless network

    Hello

Earlier my XP (Dell D620) machine stopped printing wireless with my officejet 4500 G510n-z. My Windows 7 D630 prints wirlessly without any problem. I have download the current HP drivers without result. I looked at other positions, but none of the viable solutions. The 4500 G510n-z appears as a printer, but all print jobs end with an error. I can't print a test page, Notepad, etc. All jobs appear on the queue, but they all error. It seems to be a specific problem of the XP. I have XP pro version 2002 Service pack 3. My network is just a Verizon Fios wireless router. In windows 7, I can see the actual address of the Hp wireless connection when the printer is added. Under Xp I do not see the address wireless when I try to add the printer. Now, it appears in the list of printers on XP but 7 seems to see the actual address wireless and allows me to select it to add the printer. I plugged the XP machine to the printer and it would work for a while then stops working. Don't know what triggers the loss of connection. How can I specify the connection 4500 G510n-z XP? I tried to add the IP address I see on my 7 machine but XP wants to a path of the server which is //server etc., UNC path.

I went in the properties of the printer and changed the address to match the 7 IP 192.168.1.3 192.168.1.9 Windows 7 XP, but not go again.

    Thank you

    Al

    Hello @adb1779,

Thanks for getting back to me on this subject. Because the ping tests on both computers is successful when communicating with your wireless printer, it turns out that you do not encounter a network issue at all. On the contrary, there is either a program of 'blocking' of printing wirelessly on your XP computer or computer XP is not "like" the fact that you have changed the IP address of 192.168.1.3 to 192.168.1.9. It would seem that your XP computer is a former connection with the printer. To resolve this problem, please follow the steps below.

    Step 1: Launch MSCONFIG:

I'll have you temporarily disable all programs background on your XP system to see if there is a program that runs in the background on your Windows XP computer that would block communication with your printer.

    1. Click on the Start menu
    2. Click run. In the Run dialog box, type msconfig and click OK
    3. When the System Configuration window opens select 'Selective Startup ' and uncheck load startup items
    4. Click the Services tab, check the box at the bottom to hide all Microsoft Services
    5. Select disable all
    6. Select apply and OK
    7. Computer restart when prompted

When your Windows XP computer turns please try printing. If the printer works correctly now it would mean that a program was blocking the communication. If the problem persists, proceed to the steps below.

    Step 2: Uninstall the drivers:

I understand that you have already done this in the past without result. However, if your product is identified as on 192.168.1.3 she is not installed correctly, or an earlier version of the printer with an old IP isn't be properly removed from the system. It is crucial for the repairs we have a clean slate to work with. Please follow the steps below.

    1. Click on the Start menu
    2. Click on programs
    3. Select the HP folder
    4. Select your HP Officejet
    5. Select Uninstall
    6. Please follow the instructions on the screen to complete the uninstallation.

Once the uninstall is complete, proceed to the next step.

Step 3: Clear the server properties:

Your printer driver can also be installed under the print server properties. I'll have to make sure your driver has been completely removed from both print server.

    1. click on the Start menu

    2. Select Printers. You may need to go to the Control Panel then Printers and faxes.

    3. in printers and faxes click on file and select Server properties

    4. in the print server properties window, select the drivers tab

    5. If your HP Officejet is listed, click on it and select Remove downstairs.

    6. a new window opens, click on Remove only the driver. Click OK.

    7. Select apply and then OK in the print server properties window.

    8. close printers and fax machines.

Step 4: Delete the temporary files:

    1. Click on the start menu
    2. Select run. In the Run dialog box, type %temp% , and then click OK
    3. Click on the Start menu
    4. When the Temp folder opens, Select the first item in the Temp folder and tap the SHIFT key on your keyboard.  Now Shift while, scroll down a few lines and click on another element in the file. What is between these two elements will highlight.
    5. Select the "delete" button on your keyboard. The Temp folder contains the temporary internet files. None of the actual files or folders on your computer will be affected by deleting Temp files. If a Temp file be used yet that you will automatically get the pop-up that you can't delete this item. The "deletion" process is cancelled. On Windows Vista, 7 and 8 of Windows you can just "jump" from the items which will not delete. Unfortunately, on Windows XP, it is not so easy. Take note of this point is unable to delete. Then, ignore this element. Click on the next element in the list, hold the SHIFT key and click another item in the list to remove another piece of elements. You will continue this tedious step until all items in the Temp folder which will remove are deleted.
    6. Close the Temp folder when it is empty
    7. Right-click the recycling bin on your desktop and select empty recycling bin

    Step 5: Reinstall the drivers:

    1. Please click here to download the drivers for your printer
    2. Once the site opens click on the download button at the top left
    3. Once the download is complete, follow the instructions on the screen to reinstall your printer wireless
    4. Once your printer is properly reinstalled please try again to print wireless.

Please reply to this message with the result of your troubleshooting. Good luck!

  • HP ENVY 5644: How to find the password to be able to print from the iPad or a laptop?

I configured the printer some time ago, but now my husband wants to print from his Mac laptop and requires the password that I do not have. How can I find out what the password please?

    Hello

If you're connected via wifi direct, you can get the password by pressing the direct wifi on the printer control panel for 3 seconds or more, and it should print.  If you connect via wifi direct, when you open your settings on the ipad wifi, you will be connected to a network with the name of the printer that is incorporated into the name of the wifi network (and the direct button wifi will have to be reactivated at the front of the printer).

If you are connected via your wifi router at home, your wifi password should be printer on your router somewhere.

  • Print from the iPad in mobility

    Hello!

I would like to have information for Hp printers: I need to print in mobility, get out of my office, ipad or iphone and with an Hp mobile printer. Then, I saw the Hp OfficeJet H470, and I wonder if I will give to the internet connection of the H470 ipad, what I can print with hp eprint, or there are some problems in this metod?

    Thank you very much!

Here a link to the supported HP printers for cloud services page. There you can see which printers are compatible with AirPrint and ePrint by choosing the drop down to HP's Officejet products which lies beneath the HP Technical Supportsection. It shows this printer does not work with ePrint AirPrint. I hope this helps.

  • How to print from my ipad to the officejet 6500 has more?

I read that there may be something else than necessary. I want to print directly to the Officejet 6500 has more. Apple said ths is an Air Print printer able to do this. I don't take this monster out of the box until I know he will do what I want without a lot of trouble. Thank you.

OK, so you were talking about requiring the update.  It is difficult to say that all depends on if it came with the new firmware or not.  It is not really relevant, however, because it will be updated as soon as Web Services.  This process takes a few minutes.  There is no computer necessary for the update of the firmware as long as the printer has internet access (which is directly connected to a router via ethernet or wireless).  Yes, a connection ad hoc, you will be able to print from the iPad, but you can use its 3 G connection instead of through your router.  It can only support a single WiFi also.  Go ahead and set up the printer and keep me posted on what happens.

BTW - what is the problem with your PC that it cannot access the internet?
