  Direct wireless stays on even once you restart the printer, so you should be good to go.

I've done both a network all reset them on the reset of the iPhone/ipad and router and modem. No change. My macbook and internet phone work well.   I have used to have an iPhone, but had to switch to an Android.  However I still have my iPad (Wifi + laptop) which I would still like to be able to Facetime with my family.  When you migrate from iPhone to Android phone I had to turn off iMessage and Facetime on my iPhone and my iPad so that I can separate my number with iMessage and continue to use texting on my Android.

  Maybe a WiFi Assist. On the devices go to settings > cellular > scroll all the way down > Wi - Fi help > Toggle Off. See if that helps.

  My Server 2003 host has a public and private address

  Let as host only vmnet1 and vmnet8 as NAT. If vmnet0 is for one of the phyical NIC you want to fill then set VMnet2 to the bridge to the other physical NETWORK adapter so that you can configure your virtual machine to use vmnet0 or vmnet2 according to NIC's to the private LAN.

  Also check that the VMware bypass Protocol is bound to the physical NICs that you want to be filled.
