• Rich Textbox example does not work in Windows 7

  In the past, I use the example of the Rich Textbox (\samples\userint\activex\richTextxbox.prj) in Windows XP (CVI 2010 SP1).

  It seems that the Rich Textbox control component provided by one of the VB Runtime is more included by default with Windows 7.

  I was able to manually record using Regsvr32 ActiveX control as described in the following Microsoft KB.

  I managed to download the ActiveX control needed here and there, you must copy the .ocx for the ActiveX control in your C:\Windows\SysWOW64 directory. Open an administrator command prompt and run "REGSVR32 RICHTX32. OCX'.

  SysWOW64 is the "Windows on Windows" emulation directory which is used for the execution of 32-bit controls in a 64-bit environment.

  I realize this isn't the best solution by making the deployment of applications a little more complicated, another solution would be to use another control ActiveX RTF like the one here: http://www.lebans.com/richtext.htm.

  Bought a computer without disk operating system, the hard drive is dead, borrowed disc from friend and entered the product key of the genuine sticker on the side of the computer.  Why it says its not valid?

  My guess is that since you borrowed a disc from a friend, it was a retail version of Windows XP.  I suppose also that the license on the computer key is a license key for an OEM of Windows (version that comes pre-installed by the manufacturer) version.  These two types of licenses are not compatible when it comes to validate Windows.  If the button on the side of the computer is an OEM key, then you must get install the OEM media (or find someone with the same model computer).

• End of 2012 the Ethernet Mini Mac does not connect

  Everything worked very well upward until a week ago.  I did all these recent software updates to cause problems.

  I'm running OS X 10.11.3.  I use wired ethernet.  My ethernet does not work.  Preferences network indicates that the cable is disconnected.  It is not the case.  I tried to use another cable and same results.  I have a managed switch and it still says that when the Mini is on that the port is turned on and has 1000 full duplex connection.  When I power down the port turns off indicating it is nothing plugged in, when I turn on it powered back upward.  Therefore, it is not as if the ethernet port has failed.

  I tried to renew the DHCP lease in network, deactivation and reactivation of the ethernet service preferences and still no luck.  Keeps coming up as ethernet is not connected.  I opened terminal and ran ifconfig and receive nothing.  I am unable to ping to any external site.  I am also unable to connect to my modem.

  Wireless works fine.  I have a second, identical Mac Mini connected to the same hardware via ethernet, which works very well, so it doesn't seem to be any hardware related issues.  I use all the gear from ubiquiti networks, 24-port POE switch and usg 4 router pro, all new age of 2 months.  This must be a Mac issue and has nothing to do with my equipment.  2014 mac Book Pro works fine as well as 2 iPad Pros and 2 iPhones though wireless connections for them.

  Any help is greatly appreciated.
