54 updates is not necessary. You should only update a driver to correct a specific problem. You don't need to remove the video card driver before installing a newer version.

Satellite A210 - screen goes black without any reason!
I got my satellite A210-171 for a few years and a few months ago, everything was OK.
But our when I'm working or watching a web my screen goes black and nothing seems to work?
The only way around this is to turn off the power switch on the laptop then restart it again.I then get a message saying roughly...
Computer has not closed properly OR sound closed to protect all data, then a countdown begins to re open!It may be OK for a few hours or maybe a day there is no limit of time on it!
If anyone can help I would be very grateful, but please don't use of computer jargon that I don't understandThank you
Hello
It is really hard to tell what is causing this problem. It could be a hardware malfunction or a software problem.
But as Auma says you should test the RAM with Memtest86. It's really very easy to use and can detect modules memory defective RAM check it!Another question is have you installed a different display driver or updated? I ask this question because the display drivers they are not causing Toshiba sometimes of questions.
In any case, I would recommend updated display driver and check the site Web of Toshiba for a update. And before moving on to an authorized service provider reinstall you Windows using the Toshiba recovery disc. So you will get back factory settings and with these settings, your laptop should work fine.
Good bye

Computer was hijacked yesterday with "XP security alert" want to pay me to analysis and clean. Knew it was funny. Managed to get rid of the virus (in appearance) and did a system restore. Since then, have been opening several programs such as anti-virus, security, most of the elements in the Panel of control etc. Always can access internet, but only through IE and Mozilla not. Cannot open Outlook Express and need to connect to the sky for e-mail. Impossible to download and run programs as computer application which program I use to open or run the said downloads. Help!
It would seem that your registry database has been changed in order to disable the functioning of all. EXE file. You need to restore it, but cannot use regedit.exe to do. Solution: make a copy of the regedit.exe regedit.comappointed.
Open a command prompt by typing the Windows key + R and type cmd then hit
copy c:\windows\regedit.exe regedit.com
... and click on
Start regedit.com
... and click on
In the RegEdit program, navigate to the registry:
HKEY_CLASSES_ROOT\Exefile\Shell\Open\Command
In the right pane, double-click the (default) value. Delete the current value data, and then type:
"%1" %*
(i.e.: quote-percent-one-quote-space-percent-asterisk)
Close the Regedit utility. Your. EXE files must be start normally now. If the problem persists, or redone surface shortly after this procedure, your computer is still infected. In any event, the execution of full scans with MalwareBytes and your own virus anyti is recommended. The complete procedure (for XP) is detailed here.

- Make an appointment at an Apple Retail Store Genius Bar
- Find an Apple authorized service provider

* Original title: start Windows 7
I recently accidentally dropped my laptop and now whenever I try to turn it on, it gets frozen on the screen with the logo of "starting windows." When it disappears, the screen just goes black and nothing else happens. Logins appear not at all. I also tried to run in safe mode and safe mode with networking mode, but it has not loaded yet even to the windows splash screen. I ran Startup Repair 3 times now and he has not yet fixed my problem. I was wondering if it might have been damaged in the fall.
Probably yes it is damaged in the case otherwise he would start.
