  3rd party applications and malware are often cause for this. Have you tried the clean boot such as suggested above (that isolates the background application that could cause the problem)? Also try to run a full scan with your antivirus.

  Hi Dena, thank you for the info. I ran the SFC scan as you recommended and the system's back as clear so I contacted "THE TECH GUYS" to curries where I bought my laptop.
