You need to update to the latest version of Firefox, for maximum stability, performance, security and ease of use. You can get it for free, as always, to www.getfirefox.com. Firefox 3.5 is still supported, you can continue to use it, if you wish. I do not recommend it, however.

  If the update does not solve your problems, you have a problem with an extension or plugin that is an obstacle to the normal behavior of your Firefox. Have you tried to disable all add-ons (just to see) to see if Firefox goes back to normal?

  Here is the process to roll back:

  First of all, I recommend you backup your Firefox settings in case something goes wrong. See your backup information.

  Then, download and save Firefox 3.6 on your desktop for later installation. http://www.Mozilla.com/Firefox/all-older

  Close Firefox 4, and then uninstall it. Do not remove your personal data and settings, the entire program.

  Finally, you can reinstall Firefox 3.6. Unless you have installed an incompatible add-on, it should pick up where you left off. If there are serious questions, please post back with details.
