IN reading under HDMI output: ATI High Definition Audio device not connected not

I have a Probook s 4720 with Windows 7 Pro. Connect my laptop to the TV with an HDMI cable worked fine then all of a sudden the next time I did I got no sound and when I right click the icon of audio, I noticed he read ATI High Definition Audio device not connected. It worked once and now it won't, Miss me. The driver is up-to-date.

Can someone help this grueling 82 year old principal?

I like to play the old big Bands and numbers Andre Rieu on You Tube.

Please try download and install the latest driver from the following link, and then reboot the system:

    Hello

    You are welcome

    Try the following.

Download IDT Audio Installer on the link below and save it in your downloads folder.

    http://ftp.HP.com/pub/SoftPaq/sp54001-54500/sp54400.exe

One time finished, open windows control panel, open Device Manager and open sound, video and game controllers.  Right click on the IDT device and select uninstall - also, you should get a command prompt to delete the current driver, check the box allow this and then proceed to uninstall.

When finished, restart the computer and let Windows load completely.  Open your download folder, right-click on the IDT Installer and select "Run as Administrator" to launch the installation.  Once this done, do a right-click the speaker icon in the taskbar and select playback devices.  'Speakers and headphones' left click once to highlight, and then click the Set Default button - check if you now audio.

  • Envy 17-j120us: high definition Audio Device, Code 10 device cannot start, yellow triangle

My IDT audio works fine and its works my laptop well, but when I curls upward from my laptop to my TV via a HDMI cable, I output my laptop displays on my TV but no sound from my laptop on my TV came out. I think the problem is because there is something wrong with my high definition Audio Device. It has a yellow triangle next to him with a! in the middle of the yellow triangle in the Manager of devices under sound, video and game controllers. And when I click on properties on the high definition Audio Device, it says: "this device cannot start. (Code 10) {Operation failed} The requested operation failed. Any help would be great. Is CLEAN Windows 10 installed on a NEW HARD DISK. I HAVE NOT upgraded, windows 10 was clean installed from a disc.

    See if it works...

Download and install this free utility for files.  The 2nd listed file is 64-bit.

    http://www.7-zip.org/

Then download and save, but do not run the graphics driver Intel W10 from the support page of your laptop.

This package provides the driver that allows graphics Intel high definition (HD) in the notebook models that are running an operating system supported. If the video output high-definition multimedia interface (HDMI) is supported, this package also installs the HDMI Audio Driver.

    File name: sp72370.exe

Right-click on the file of the Intel graphics driver you just downloaded and select 7 - zip from the list of options.

Have 7-zip extract of: and let it extract the file in the file name (sp72370).

Go to Device Manager and click on the audio device HD of the problem.

Click on the driver tab, click on set to update driver.  Select her browse my computer for driver software option and navigate to the driver 7-zip created folder.

Make sure that the include subfolders is selected and see if the pilot goes like this.

    Then restart the PC.

  • High definition Audio Device Code 10 - device cannot start (tried all the typical solutions)

    Hey!

    Let me first, I use a laptop Aspire V3 - 772g.

After the recent update of Windows 10, I had problems getting past the lock screen (took FOREVER to get to the point where I could enter my password) and it had been awhile, so I reformatted ('reset my PC' delete all files) - that didn't really solve my problem, so I used Rufus with an iso of Windows Microsoft to remove all partitions and start 10 REALLY cool. Since then, the laptop runs like a dream - in all but a point.

It seems that no matter WHAT I do, I can't get my audio HDMI / TV to appear as an option in the playback devices (Yes, disabled devices is checked). Looking in the Device Manager, the high definition Audio Device has an exclamation point is to launch a code 10 - impossible to start the device. I tried to uninstall it, tried to install all the drivers of Intel V3 - 772 f page including chipset, updated my graphics driver / Realtek / drivers Intel HD audio... and yet, nothing. Ran /sfc, ran /chkdsk, nothing.

I read something that made me believe .NET framework can be part of the issue - and in fact, I have a bit of difficulty getting the 3.5 installed / functional, but I finally did... and yet, nothing!

Seriously, I'm losing my mind. I'll have to run my sound surround sound via an auxiliary cable into the laptop, which is sacrilege and a fraction of the quality.

If there is SOMETHING, someone can suggest beyond the foregoing, please do!

This problem is related to Intel HD audio via HDMI cable, if the driver is in the same package of graphics drivers.

Have you tried to manually install the audio driver HD?

you need to unpack the Intel graphics drivers (but no installation, you can use 7z to unzip), and then select update the driver HD audio from the Device Manager and point to the unzipped folder.

I have an exclamation point for my high definition Audio Device in Device Manager. Immediately below I IDT High Definition Audio CODEC (WHO do IS NOT HAVING a POINT of EXCLAMATION to).

I installed the drivers for my laptop and still have an exclamation point. I get the sound from the laptop and my internal microphone works so I don't know what exactly this influences. The two drivers that I have installed are those below.

    1. sp63555.exe
    2. sp63407.exe

The hardware ID for the high definition Audio Device with the exclamation point is:

    HDAUDIO\FUNC_01 & VEN_8086 & DEV_2807 & SUBSYS_80860101

    Hi Val,

The hardware id is audio via a HDMI connection and should be provided by the Intel Graphics Software - try to download and reinstall it from the link below.

    http://ftp.HP.com/pub/SoftPaq/sp63501-64000/sp63750.exe

    When reinstalling, restart the laptop.

A few days ago, I upgraded my windows to windows 8 to 8.1 windows and found that no noise from HDTV when hook up my HDMI cable however video is perfectly fine. I was completely baffled because the audio was working perfectly fine before the upgrade to Windows 8.1. I tried several solutions posted on other forums, such as install other drivers and uninstall the IDT High Definition Audio Driver and then scan for hardware changes. I checked the HDMI cable and it works very well with the other laptop.

Device Manager is needle 2 device:

High definition audio device (yellow own showing)

    IDT High Definition Audio CODEC

When I open the properties of the audio device high definition, that is to show:

    The requested operation failed.

If anyone knows how to solve the problem, please help me

    Hello:

Audio driver IDT (portable speakers) seems to work very well.

The problem is probably with the Intel graphics driver that controls the HDMI audio.

My recommendation would be to install the latest Intel graphics driver from the link below and see if that fixes the problem.

  • High definition Audio device

I just install Windows 7 to a friend on a Dell Vostro 220 and there were two High Definition Audio devices in Device Manager. When I installed the Realtek HD driver, one became Realtek High Definition Audio, but the other remained as high definition Audio Device. When I disabled it Audio in the bios then both disappear from the Device Manager. There is no HDMI on this pc.

What is this high definition Audio Device?

I uninstalled the drivers for the chipset of dell and installed from the site to intel. Now, everything is good. Thanks for help.

  • High definition Audio Device works not properly

I use Windows 7 Home Premium with a generic "high definition Audio Device" that beat unexpectedly and I can't get it fixed. It seems that Windows thinks that the Audio device does not work correctly, except there is a red X on the speaker sign on my toolbar. I have no playback listed device, but there is a device under sound, video and game controllers. Its location is also "Location 0 (High Definition Audio Bus)". Please and thanks for the help!

No, the Red Cross means no driver installed, essentially.

Go to the site of the manufacturer of your computer, looking for support for your page, then download and install the specific audio drivers for W7.

Re-post if it does not work. Do NOT rely on MS to do the update for you.

    See you soon,.

  • Laptop of HP ENVY m6: high definition Audio Device a yellow exclamation

    Hello

I have a yellow exclamation next to the high definition Audio Device in Device Manager. He says that I have the best driver when I try to update the driver software. FYI, the Realtek one is good. I need to fix the high definition Audio Device.

My product number is G6R97UA #ABA.

    Please help me!

OK, it's exactly what I thought it was in the first place... the Intel HD Audio chip.

Try to manually install the driver that I posted as follows.  If you have not deleted the file I posted, go to Device Manager and click on the audio device HD requiring the driver.

Click the driver tab.  Click on set to update driver.

Select her browse my computer for driver software option and navigate to the folder of the driver that was created when you ran the file.

This file will be located in C:\SWSetup\sp72370.

Make sure that the include subfolders is selected and see if the pilot goes like this.

    Then restart the PC.

If you have deleted the file, download and run again the driver, close the error window and follow the procedure above.

I see the hardware ID you posted as supported in the driver file, so it should work.

His problem solved.  For the benefit of others in the same boat, that's what I did.
After trying everything I could think of, I had another look at the system clean.
    Computer >
    Drive C (double click) >
    Request >
    Driver >
    Sound >
Select Configuration, right-click, choose Run as administrator >
Wizard starts, select 'Reinstall using your computer settings' >
    Reset.
Hey its nice and presto!  (Which almost took off my head, because I had forgotten that the speakers were entirely upwards).
Shows Device Manager now that one mistake, on the network controller - anyone has any information about it, what it does, what application it is associated with etc.

  • No audio output because High Definition Audio Driver cannot start (Envy 17 Quad) HDMI

Since I bought this laptop two months ago, the HDMI audio has always been inconsistent. I remember working once or twice, but there were several times when my audio driver recognizes that an HDMI cable is connected. Yes, I tried everything that is obvious: computer shutdown, control devices disabled in playback devices, drivers, etc.. Now, when I plug an HDMI cable, the video is fine but the IDT High Definition Audio CODEC does not recognize HDMI / my TV. The High Definition Audio Driver says it cannot start, but I could not reinstall or find a download from the HP Web site. How can I get audio through HDMI to my TV?

Well, I think I have it solved. I have plugged the HDMI cable and uninstalled the generic audio driver broke, then scanned for the hardware changes. Audio driver reappeared in the work and there was audio cable to the tv.

  • High definition Audio Device does not

I have a laptop Asus N550jk running Windows 8. Video output HDMI works fine, but when I play a video it does that through the computer. I went to "manage audio devices" and found the option of device high definition audio and reading "not connected" below. The video works fine and I am failing to get sound from the TV. Any help on this is appreciated.

    Hello

Sorry for the delay in response.

Look at the screenshot, it seems that you have not installed the drivers of NVidia graphics cards. Check this link http://www.asus.com/Notebooks_Ultrabooks/N550JK/HelpDesk_Download/ to download NVidia drivers.

See this screenshot. It should show like Nvidia HDMI in sound properties.

Try the new installation of the graphics card in the Device Manager drivers.

    Follow these steps:

    1. Download the graphics driver from this link: http://www.asus.com/Notebooks_Ultrabooks/N550JK/HelpDesk_Download/
    2. Press the Windows key + X
    3. Click on Device Manager
    4. Go to the graphics card drivers, right-click on it and select Uninstall.
    5. Restart the computer and install the latest downloaded graphic drivers.
