  You must not be connected to anything.  Simply go to the screen start and press 'ex' on your keyboard, as you enter the letters, the entire screen should filter to find the app you want (you don't have to type the whole word excel, but you can).  When you see Excel, simply right-click and choose "PIN to start" or "pin to taskbar" to put a shortcut to where you want.

  Are files that can be found inside the photo library in the folder of masters or referenced by pictures in a folder outside the library?

  If the photos are in a folder outside your library, check where Photos expected them to be.  The error you get when you try to edit or export the original file should show you the path to the file in the folder where the photo should be.  Where is it?  Try "file > see the file reference in the Finder.  He opens the folder where the original must be.   • Please make sure you are in the right/most recent catalog.

  I suggest that you save the images created using Director of Windows to another location on the computer and check if it still gets listed in the list of desktop wallpaper.
