• V8: Adding the extension to a data request created via the API

  I create a web application that registers a specific request through the RequestCreate API function. Unfortunately it doesn't seem to be any support to add data to the extension fields created from application designer. I thought to add data manually by using an insert statement. Is the Ref table su_extension_data field an auto-increment field or do I need get the max (ref), add 1, use either the ref to new records? It seems that, based on the infra_queries.sql file, I provide the ref for the extension data.

  All this seems to be a recipe for disaster. Is there a better way to add extension information to a request?

  All references are managed by the SU_NUMBER_ALLOC table. The NUMBER_ALLOC column is the next value to be used for the table defined in the column TABLE_ALLOC. If the value should be incremented or as kentyrr suggested to use the procedure stored in the ALLOCATEUNIQUEREF.

  You need to expand the stored procedure / SQL custom that will insert the extension using ALLOCATEUNIQUEREF fields and call using the function API ExecuteQuery. If you insert multiple extension fields, you can use the nQuantity parameter in order to book a bunch of refs for your instructions insert only once.

• The indictaor of activity continues to operate

  The activity indicator, (this little ring that runs when there is a search), continues to operate when I open certain websites. But it doesn't happen every time. It happens most of the time, however, (about 80%) and only on some websites.

  I am a new user of Firefox, (switched from IE9), and it is a symptom similar to something that also happens on my AOL browser.

  I don't know if that's an indication that something did not open on this web page or what.

  I can stop it by clicking the "Reload" button, then clicking on the 'Stop' button afterwards. Any ideas?

  BTW I did ensure that the site has been "authorized" through the security option. ALSO: This would happen from the beginning until I transferred any other information from the website or addons.

  Some sites have JavaScript which is poorly coded and caused be the indicator of activity to continue.
  
  You can check that by temporarily disabling JavaScript or use an extension like NoScript to block JavaScript to see if that helps.

  There is has nothing built in the WW API not. That said I think that widgets QNX (http://supportforums.blackberry.com/t5/Web-and-WebWorks-Development/QNX-UI-look-and-feel-in-WebWorks... have one that mimics the look of the one system. Most JS frameworks and classify mobile have a cooked in them as well, if you use one.

  If these options you just create your own and trigger via JS in a div overlay, or the div which contained load.

• I would like to reorder the extensions in what order I love :)

  I'm loving FF and extensions.

  However, I want the extensions in the order I want.

  For example, there are a few "active" extensions, such as the CAPTURE of SCREEN GREAT, I want to be displayed.
  There are a few "passive", as the SELF-DESTRUCTING COOKIES extensions, I want in the > > dropdown menu, as I didn't interact with them on a regular basis.

  If you're talking about extensions in your toolbar, you can rearrange them in the personalization page. Either:

  • Enter topic: Customizing in your address bar, or
  • Go to the Menu

    

    > Customize

  On the page that appears, you can click and drag the extensions at different locations on the toolbar or keep them under the three menu bar on the right pane. The extensions placed in the main pane will not display for use.

• How force and lock an Add on specific (extension) is activated?

  I'm looking for a way to push/block an add-on to be enabled for all users on a machine. I found a sense with the help of the extensions.enabledAddons in the Mozilla.cfg with lockPref function, but this forces me to highlight all the Add-ons that must be activated. This may differ from one machine to the other...

  What I'm hoping or looking for perhaps is a property of the object of the add-on, either in the registry or in a configuration file of Firefox, something which would be listed all the modules of the machine and I could force it to have the property set on enabled somehow and preference block (like a lock on) (: config preference Mozilla.cfg).

  Not sure if I was able to clearly explain...
