In the media player in Windows 7, how can you re - tag compilation albums titles so that they appear under different albums?

I pulled a few mix and CD compilation; Windows Media Player automatically tag songs as belonging to those mix/compilation albums.  I would rather sort tracks in their original albums from (source).  For example, Fleetwood Mac, 'The Chain' should be track 7 "rumor," not the runway 18 of "The very best of Fleetwood Mac".  I used to be able to do so through "Advanced Tag Editor", but this option is not available in Windows 7 Media Player.  When I try to change the news of the album to a particular song (whether through "Find Album Info" or by manually changing), Windows Media Player changes songs of the compilation album of this new title of the album.  Drag / move does not work either - I do not have the album that I want to transfer the securities to the compilation.

How to separate tracks to a compilation CD and sort them in new albums?

Thank you!

    Hello

I suggest that you perform the restoration of the system to the date or time before wen you have uninstalled the software, this should reinstall or restore the Roxio software on the computer.

How to restore Windows XP to a previous state

    http://support.Microsoft.com/kb/306084

    NO!  NO!  NO!

System Restore cannot be used to uninstall or reinstall the applications.  See http://bertk.mvps.org/html/tips.html#5

    To yvonnenz:

Sorry, but you need to use your original Roxio media and license key installation.  If you do not have these because the Roxio program was preinstalled on your computer when you bought it, it is possible remotely your computer manufacturer may be able to help, but I doubt it.

Depending on what features you want to be able to do, you may be able to find free apps by using your favorite search engine.  The alternative is to buy a new Roxio or one of its competitors (for example, Nero).  If you phone Roxio and are convincing enough, they might allow you to buy at the upgrade price, but yet again, I doubt it.

  • When I long press on a link, in addition to opening a box of context, it also opens the link in this window. How can I get JUST the context window appears?

I'm an avid user of pocket and I like to scroll through the different blog sites and save articles to read later. In general, I have been using Google Chrome browser that forces me to open each section in a different tab and then share this article to the Pocket to save him. I was delighted when I found the firefox browser has worked very well and even supported Add ons. I decided to try it, but have encountered a major problem. When I press a link to share, instead of a context window appear and the site remains the same, a context window opens while the site loads the link. When I right click on a link in my browser, it does not mean I want to go to this link, so I do not know why the same procedure would cause the mobile browser to do so. Is there a way I can press a link without having to open the link in this tab?

Well, it's silly, but it's the best I could come up with:

I tested this on Gizmodo: when the menu press and hold appears, instead of lifting the finger pointing upwards, slide it downwards a little, right next to the link, before you lift your finger on the glass. Then the script on the page detects a "mouse up" (or equivalent event) on the link. It works for you?

I know that you cannot see the link in the menu, but one or two lines of text height will usually do.

Would probably be wise for Firefox cancel all events associated with touching the link once the menu is displayed. Or to make sure that the site includes as a right-click (that seems more difficult). I have not checked to see if ideas along these lines have been filed in the bug tracking system.

Edit: Tested on a Nexus 5 (LG).

  • In Windows 7, how can you 'Play All' videos in a folder, starting with a selected file?

When I open a folder in Windows 7 Pro 64 bit that contains video files (.wvmv), and I click on Play All, it opened WMP and begins to play the first file in the folder.

I would like to be able to select a file somewhere in the folder have the Start button play every play from this file, as if I was able to do in Win XP.
Is there a setting that will allow me to do this?
    Thank you
    Vern

An alternative may be to open Media Player first and play from there.  Unlike previous versions, Windows 7 Media Player does not use its own database, it reads in the libraries of same as folders in Solution Explorer.  So if you open Media Player and click on the videos section, you can browse and start playback of the file you want.  And the default functionality is to continue to the next file after each of them, it should be similar to what you are looking for.

  • How can I alt tag button table of contents that appears at the top of the menu?

Running the latest version of the Cp7 on a windows machine 7.

A 508 hang up once more: the customer insists on an active table of contents for the project file. We have activated the TOC and it works fine, but there is a collapsible TOC secondary button located at the top of the slide here:

    1.PNG

Although I can change the icon for the TOC expand/collapse in the setting of the table of contents menu:

    2.PNG

I can't put a the button alt tag, which means that JAWS and other screen just readers it reads as a button without a name - which would be 'bad' If you try to pass a test of 508 compliance - who I am. I know that alt tags do not travel with the image file, and I can't find any way to access the file in Captivate to give him a name of accessibility. Someone at - it a solution?

    Justenuf

You can replace the current picture with one of your choice.  But even if you replace just one pixel GIF, I think that it will always record somewhere in the screen as a button reader.

However, to be fair to Captivate, you can use the table of contents button on the playback bar to activate the table of contents if need be, or you can configure the buttons on the screen to do so.

Personally, I wouldn't be way to recovery TOC at all.  I would try for a table of contents separate so that it did not have all the time.

However, I had read somewhere on this forum (a year or two back) about someone of another conclusion that the links in the table of contents itself were not fully 508 compliant.  Then perhaps you're just chasing your tail here if you try to achieve perfect 508 compliance.

  • How can you stop your malfunctioing album covers?

Just the day before I had an update I did on my computer.  I noticed after the update from microsoft that I was getting a malfunction in my windows media player 11.  So far, none of my music has dissappeared.  The question that happens is that a particular album cover is overridding another cover that is installed for the other albums art.  Other things that happens is some other album covers are either crushed any third-party that works perfectly with windows player 11. An analysis on my computer by microsoft and they gave me no entry as to why it happened.  I would like a really good answer for this problem.

    Hello Raytex111,

Thank you for your message.  The issue of album art could be caused by a corrupted database file.  Please click HERE for instructions on how to remove the database file and allow it to rebuild itself again.  Regarding scanning you are referring, could you please be more specific as to what type of analysis has been made or when and how it was done?

  • I want a few songs by e-mail a friend to my media player... How can I do this?

Email address is removed for privacy... * Gerard

    Hi gerardhamill

You can send the song as an attachment in the e-mail message-

    a. open your e-mail program and compose a new message.
    b. click on 'Add an attachment' or 'Accessories', depending on your e-mail program. Then click on 'Browse' If a navigation menu is not displayed on your screen.
    c. find the song file that you saved on your computer or in the music library and select it.

    d. click "OK" and then click "Join" If your e-mail program requires you to do. Now you can send mail.

You can also try a compression (like WinZip or WinRAR) utility and compress the file before attaching. This will reduce the size of the attachment file.

    I hope this helps.
