I have to zoom out new tab to see then the 4 sites, new tabs still has 3.
I recently updated my firefox. My tab used to have 6 boxes, among these 4had sites I have visited frequently.
There are 3 now instead of 6. I can zoomout to find my 4th, but the next time I open a tab his 3 again. is there a topic: config option that set the size of the new tab?Hi, you can keep the same zoom setting by: Type Subject: config in the address bar, press ENTER, accept the warning, scroll to browser.newtab.preload and double-click on it to change the 'value' of true to False.
It is also possible about: config to change the maximum number of tiles by scrolling to the browser.newtabpage.columns (or Rows), then right-click > modify to set a new number of 'value '.

You can use the SearchReset extension to reset preferences to default values.
Note that the SearchReset extension runs only once and then uninstalls automatically, so it will not appear on the page "> Firefox Add-ons" (topic: addons).
If you do not keep the changes after a reboot or have problems with preferences, see:

I think the latest version is very slow when you access web pages. I want to return to the previous version to see if it's better. How can I go about changing back?
To return to the previous secure version which is 3.6.17, follow these steps:
- Go to Download Firefox v3.6.17 and upload it to the office.
- Then go to add/remove programs, scroll down to "Mozilla Firefox" and delete it, choosing to keep your bookmarks, etc., the customizations (don't tick the box).
- Reboot and delete the folder called "Mozilla Firefox" at this location: C:\Program Files\Mozilla Firefox
- Finally, run the installation file downloaded previously on the desktop.
Your bookmarks, etc., customizations are stored in a different location and will become available to you even once you complete the installation.
After completing the installation, go to the Plugins check page and update if necessary.
However, before go you that route, here are some tips to make it look like the previous version of FF4.
- Right-click on an empty part of the toolbar tab and click "Tabs on top" to remove the check mark. Tabs later reappears under the search bar.
- Repeat the same steps, but click on the top of the page, one called 'Menu bar '. This will restore the text at the top links.
- To rearrange the layout, repeat the same steps and choose "Customize". A Panel opens and who remains on the screen, you can move elements like toolbars, buttons etc. around and place them anywhere you want. You can also drag anything there that you don't like Panel and add anything you want by dragging it out of there.
- To replace the status bar at the bottom of the page, install this add-on: https://addons.mozilla.org/en-US/firefox/addon/status-4-evar/

So basically I end up with two tabs that do nothing.
Start Firefox in Firefox to solve the issues in Safe Mode to check if one of the Add-ons is the cause of the problem (switch to the DEFAULT theme: Tools > Modules > themes).
- Makes no changes on the start safe mode window.
See:
- Troubleshoot extensions, themes, and issues of hardware acceleration to resolve common problems of Firefox
- Solve problems with plugins like Flash or Java to solve the common problems of Firefox
If this does not work in mode without failure, then disable all extensions and then try to find out who is the cause by allowing both the problem reappears.
- Choose "Disable all add-ons" on issues to troubleshoot Firefox in Safe Mode to set window to disable all extensions.
- Close and restart Firefox after each change through "file > exit ' (Mac: ' Firefox > leave";) Linux: "file > exit ')

When I updated Firefox to version 32, he started to always show my tabs in the last session when it is started. I tried to change the "Startup of Firefox" option to all three of the available choices. None of them changed the behavior. It nevertheless opens the tabs that were open last. I waited for the next version (33.0.3), but the behavior is always the same. I would like Firefox to open my home page selected.
I'm running Windows 7 Pro.One possibility is that Firefox hangs during shutdown, and so Firefox is recovering from an accident each time. But if you can see it stop normally in your tests, which probably isn't.
Software sometimes external will create or update an optional parameters file named user.js. For some reason, one of the things that often turns in there is a preference to restore your previous session at once. However, because Firefox uses user.js to override your normal parameters, whenever it starts, which then turns into a permanent change. To check this and remove any file user.js, you find, try this technical support article: How to fix preferences that will not save.
A little luck?

I like to explore 8 ver.8.0.6001.18702 that is located on another laptop with the victory. XP I know n like a lot. my new laptop has win 7 n explore 8 but I know not what version I can't find the help button, like on explore 8 wth win xp, so I can click on the option 'about Internet explorer' 2 see the worm this Explorer 8 is nothing like the Explorer 8 on my laptop with win xp. There is no 'file' option so I can send a link or page.which is my main aversion to explore 8 under Windows 7. I am disabled n its very frustrating with this Explorer 8 on win 7. How can I replace it with explore 8 version 8.0.6001.18702. I downloaded n installed on my new COMP with win 7, but when I open the browser it is still the browser that's installed with win 7. Why?
They should be the same - it just sounds like they have not seen the same day.
As a first step, to return to the menu with file, etc. save, right-click on an empty area on the toolbar under the address bar and select menu bar. Other toolbars and customization can be made in a similar way.
Versions of IE8 that you see are different for each version of Windows - an updated to IE8 on Win XP version will have a different version only. for a version to update to IE8 on Win 7. Try to ignore this - it's a diversion.
Press F1 to get help in IE8. Activation of the bar of Comand using the technique above you will also get help.
If you need any help more customization IE8 please post back.

I checked the registry with CCleaner.
I ran Malwarebytes and Spybot.Create a new profile as a test to see if your profile is the source of the problems.
See "create a profile":
- http://KB.mozillazine.org/Standard_diagnostic_-_Firefox#Profile_issues
There may be extensions and plugins installed by default in a new profile, so check that in "tools > Modules > Extensions & Plugins" in case there are still problems.
If the new profile works then you can transfer files from the old profile to the new profile, but make sure not to copy corrupted files.
You can also try resetting Firefox:
If using a different malware scanners does not resolve or if you're stuck installing these scanners then ask advice at a forum that specializes in the removal of malware.
