In the Numbers worksheet - is - it possible to select or define an area to print?

Not like in Excel.  3 numbers is not nearly as print oriented like other spreadsheet applications (it is more suited to sharing via the cloud or on a Tablet seems old reports). Numbers is also designed for you to work in stand-alone tables rather than on a large tract of cells in Excel. You can organize your document so the part that you need to print is in a particular table.  Move this table on a separate sheet and print this sheet only.  To move a table, select it and click on the 'bulls eye' top left, command + x to cut, navigate to a new sheet that you have configured, command-v to paste.

    copy the line then pasted in numbers (command C and V command) has always worked well.

    The line of values must be copied from a continuous row of cells.

    This looks like a work of fusion and mailing.

    The merge document would create in Pages, and the cells of merger on this document référenceriez cells in the table in the document numbers.

    See the documentation Pages (on the Help menu) for instructions on the conduct of merger and mailing.

    To do this in only numbers, you would need to put in place a 'table of declaration' on a separate sheet (in the same document as the table containing information) which would accept a customer number (or other key ID for each individual) then use it to determine the line of the main table to retrieve information about this pattern.

    A more precise answer requires a more specific desription of your table structure and the desired form of the instruction to take.

    I have a problem with a graphic. I use the same type of chart in two different projects.

    But only in a single project, I can right click on the graph that shows a popup to 'the visible elements' where I can show/hide legend cursor for example.

    Is there a mode that prevents right-clicking on the graph?

    I can only change visible elements when the program is stopped and not while it is running.

    Dear Forum,

    I learn the SQL Developer.  I use it in my work and school.  At school, when I enter a query in the SQL worksheet, line numbers show in a column to the left of the editing area.  In my work, no line number.  I'm working on a fairly long query at my work, and the line numbers would be useful.

    I looked at tools / preferences / settings for the Code Editor, but do not find a setting for line numbers.  I looked at the other tabs in preferences and found nothing that looked useful.

    I have looked at all of the choices on the display list, but can't find anything on line numbers.

    Am I missing something obvious?  Line numbers is also available?  If so, how?

    I looked at various hits "line number" in this forum, but I've not found anything exactly the point.

    my mother at point blank refuses to use the numeric keypad on the keyboard because it is back from a calculator (! why it doesn't just excel or the calculator on his computer is beyond me, but hey ho!)
    and so I was wondering if there is a way to reverse the numbers so that it will be laid out like a calculator (i.e. 1, 2, 3 on the row from the top instead of 7, 8, 9)
    lacking that, surely, somebody invented a keyboard arranged like this? but I can't locate one.
    any suggestions much appreciated (even if I think that there is nothing that can be done!)

    All calculators I have and never had, have the same layout as the numeric keypad, that is to say 789 on the top row. I've never seen a calculator with 123 on the top row

  • Help automate and functions by the numbers

    Hello!

    I need assistance with numbers 3.6.1 for OS X El Capitan. My question is really complicated, and I couldn't even begin to understand what to search using search engines, that is why I turn to the experts in communities for help.

    What I'm trying to do is set up a system where when an a table on a single sheet is changed, the information on a second table on a second sheet is updated to match. Specifically, on the first table on the first worksheet, I keep a spreadsheet of all the video games I have in my collection, and with each game video I save several data as platform, Publisher, genre and ESRB rating points, and so on, as follows:

    On the second picture, I have an assortment of tables of data that takes into account the number of games I have they fall into each of these same points data in separate tables, so, how many games I have for every platform, every Editor, in every kind and with each ESRB rating, as follows:

    I was able to set up all the tables on the second sheet automatic update of the charges for each individual in each category element, so if I add, say, a new game of Nintendo 3DS to the first sheet on the first table, the corresponding to "Nintendo 3DS" number on the table of the second sheet platform is automatically updated. I did this by manually applying the COUNTIF function to each individual B cell in each table and was pointing at the corresponding column of table on the first worksheet with the correspondent of expression of the cell [for Game Boy Advance, for example, it looks like this: COUNTIF (Collection::Table 1: $Platform, "Game Boy Advance")]. Part of what I want to accomplish is to have all the B cells on the second act of sheet as "smart cells", if you want to, where they are all automatically use the COUNTIF function using the expression in each corresponding to a cell, instead of the manual set up I have now. Is something like this? If so, I want finally to do is to have the paintings on the second sheet automatically be updated to take account of the new factors of table on the first worksheet. That is if I add a game to a new platform, we will say Virtual Boy, to the table on the table of the first sheet, is it possible to have the picture of the platform on the second sheet automatically add a new entry for Virtual Boy, and should the COUNTIF automatic formatting for the work of B lymphocytes as well, automatically count the number of entries of Virtual Boy in the platform column the first sheet as well?

    Formula in B2 (and fill by dragging the handle downwards to fill yellow)

    = COUNTIF(Collection::Table 1::$B,A2)

    B2 in the platform table and paste in the length of Table B2. It will show zero because he seeks the wrong column in the table on the sheet Collection.

    Click on the "Collection::Table 1: $B" diamond in the formula editor to select.

    Go to the Map Collection and click on the label C.

    AHA! It always displays zero because does not match the description of length:

    "Very short (less than 5 hours)" on the card product and "Very short" on the Collection sheet.

    The descriptions must match exactly.

    The easy way to change them in the Collection journal is to sort the table. But first of all insert another column, and then type 1 then 2 and fill down. Then you can sort to the original order.

    Now sort the column Length.

    Change the description (copy and paste into each "block")

    Funny looks because the line height are different

    The COUNTIF works because the descriptions are now (the formula now displays column D because of the new column of original order of Collection).

  • Do the numbers tell me the last date of a cell containing specific text

    Hi guys,.

    I'm setting up a pilot logbook and I need to keep track of when I lead some approaches to the instruments for the purposes of recency.

    For example, the last time I did a VOR approach was April 20, 16.  I need the numbers to recognize the "VOR" text and give me the corresponding date.  I'm having numbers give me this date in a separate table.

    Any ideas on how to do this would be greatly appreciated.

    This is a roundabout way. Perhaps another user will display a more elegant way.

    Table 1 is a version abridged your journal of driving. Here is table 2:

    Table 2 uses the SIERREUR function to place "" (NULL) if the SEARCH fails to find a match between the value in the header line and an entry in the log of your flight.

    Otherwise, it inserts a value (The FIND returns the starting position of a string in another).

    Now we've found BK VOR (and fill to the right) and SID.

    Columns needed for approaches more more!

    Table 3 is a Date of any cell in table 2 which is not "" (NULL).

    Formula in A2 (and fill down and fill the right)

    = IF(Table 2::A2≠"",Table 1::$A2,"")

    You can type this than = IF (table 2::A2 <>"", Table 1: $A2, "")

    3 numbers will change <>≠

    Formula of the cell footer of table 3 (for column A, then fill to the right)

    = MAX (A)

    To improve the 'presentation', move (copy / paste) 2 Table to another worksheet (TAB). The formulas will adjust automatically.

  • How to get the numbers to remember a list of answers column on nine or more tables using the same format

    I'm new to numbers but were mainly use it to organize only a simple way to display the cases that arise in a criminal background check. So for a table, I can type driving while license revoked (DWLR) as the load and from there on the charge will fill itself or offer similar responses after typing a single key.  A well appreciated time saver but problems I can sort and summarize the criminal history for 10 people or more at a time and need to do it urgently often.   However when I opened a new table I have to cross and type a new the precise wording of a charge, its disposal (Guilty, voluntary dismissal etc.)  and just know that there is an easy way for the numbers to know in a new table that, if finished it is a list annoyingly long term broken criminal code list and do not have to do that in each new table so that it can take.  I know I'm missing something very basic, but any help would save hours for me and the other poor interns who spend twice as long just to undestand the case and troubleshoot.  Thanks for all the ideas!

    Hi D,

    The AutoComplete feature provides suggestions picked on data entered in the cells above the one you are working in. You can automate the process by preparing a "full menu" table containing ALL the possible inputs for each column in the rows below the header lines.

    The checkbox in cell A1 is a switch, is used to insert the word HIDE in the cell that contains the list of AutoComplete terms. Cells in this area are filled with bright red to draw attention to them when indicated.

    A rule to reorganize (shown and applied below) hiding these lines when the box is checked.

    Hide the lines does not affect the operation of auto-complete, as shown in the table below:

    When the form is competed, action depends on how the result will be recorded and filed.

    If there is no need to edit/modify the file, it can be converted to a PDF using the print dialog. This produces a copy of the displayed part of the document only.

    If the document will require more editing, you can remove the lines containing AutoComplete suggestions. Clear the check box, select all the red lines filled, click the triangle in the row reference tabs and choose Remove.

    Formula in A2 - A10: = IF(A$1,"HIDE","")

  • Problem with the numbers in the rows of cut and paste

    I'm new to MAC and now have problems with the help of figures, I brought my windows Excel worksheets. On windows, I could cut a line and paste anywhere on this page and by practice that Excel would fill the void rank where I cut the content. but here on MAC it does not work, why?

    anyway I tried to live with it by cutting a line and for the collage, I used Insert > copied lines for paste swath and add a line for her. but last night I updated the numbers and now by the practice precedes the Windrow is stuck this time with a resized form, the line is resized to a big line.

    Why is this happening? If it can't be fixed, I can go back to a previous version of a number? This update of hate.

    Numbers is excellent NO then you should consider to guide your expectations.

    Cut number refers only to the content NOT the line, or cells.  Select when a row, and then use the cut command that you cut the contents of the cells.

    If you try to move a line from one place to another, you should try this method (which can work for you)...

    Select the line, then click and hold on the header line (up to the line "lift" on the table), the operation slide the line to the destination.

    Now drag the line:

    What I do is use this CSV to tabs on Clipboard (download Dropbox).

    To install, double-click the .workflow package and, if necessary, give permission in system preferences > security & privacy.

    Thereafter for use:

    1. In the Finder (not the numbers), navigate to the .csv file.
    2. Right-click on the file and choose "CSV to tabs on clipboard" in respect of Services in the context menu.
    3. Follow the prompts (try different separators if necessary).
    4. Click in a cell numbers.
    5. Command-v to paste.  The numbers array will expand automatically as needed.

    So with each of the three files would follow you these steps.  You can paste the values you want in the same document numbers.

    These steps are faster and easier than they sound. A few clicks and a combination of keys.

  • NETGEAR genius App does not display the numbers of traffic correctly with IOS 10 meter

    Since I've updated my Air Ipad 2 and Iphone 5 IOS 10.0.1, genius app on these 2 devices does not traffic counters numbers - the numbers are blacked out. Both devices have been updated to IOS 10.0.2 and numbers still are not displayed correctly. I've uninstalled and reinstalled the app on devices engineering and numbers are always blocked. I tried an old Ipad 2 which is not updated for IOS 10 and my desktop Windows 10 PC and the traffic engineering counter displays the numbers correctly. I called Netgear support, but they were not aware of this problem and so far do not have a solution. Someone has encountered this problem on their Apple devices? Thank you! Another question - is - it possible through the genius app for what it tell me the amount of use of band bandwidth/data device not only in total for all devices? Thanks again!
