In Vista, all files lost association, constantly asked what program to open a file with
First of all, whenever I try to open certain files, such as Internet Explorer, paint, or whatever it is, I get the "choose the program you want to use to open this file", and it has not happened before. Along with this, the little thing bar in the lower right corner of the screen (which includes the Volume, time and everything) never ends load when I turn on the computer. I think I have a virus and spin the Virus Scan right now (AntiVir, to be precise, which I think will remove whatever it is detected). Two days ago pop-ups randomly came quite often, even when I'm not all Internet Windows running. It arrived yesterday and for the most part, everything was fine, but today is that occur at startup problems mentioned at the beginning of this post. I tried to search for solutions to this online, and some Web sites suggested to open the Task Manager and try to fix something here. But unfortunately, I can't even open the Task Manager. CTRL Alt Del does nothing, and when I right click on the taskbar, Task Manager option is grayed out. Any immediate response will be greatly appreciated, and if there is any other information I can provide, let me know.
* original title - Hey everyone, I have some problems with my computer and I don't know how to fix them *.
OK, so it seems I did. I think I deleted everything that I needed to and restarted my computer. It seems that everything works fine however. Only new concern I have is some box kept popping up when I turned my computer saying 'Bad Image' or something. But it no longer occurs. I'll be restart my computer later to see if still appears once, but overall, everything is fine.
Thank you very much for your support and help guys
Edit: Pop up comes again. It is said
Iexplore.exe - bad Image
C:\ProgramData\logilaka/logilaka.dll is not designed to run on Windows or it contains an error. Try to install the program by using the original installation media or contact your system administrator or the provider of software for support.
I'm glad to hear that Malwarebytes worked for you!
It's a good program.
It seems that the "logilaka.dll" is Malware.
It seems that you still have a problem, either with the malware, or remnants of it.
Make sure that Malwarebytes is fully updated in Normal mode that you run in Vista.
Once this is the case, restart and go to Safe Mode using the method "press F8" > rescan your system with Malwarebytes again.
How to use Malwarebytes:
1. open Malwarebytes > click the update tab at the top > get the latest updates.
2. on the Scanner tab, make sure that the Perform full scan option is selected and then click on the Scan button to start scanning your computer
3 MBAM will now start to scan your computer for malware. This process can take some time.
4. when the scan is complete, a message box will appear
5. you must click on the OK button to close the message box and continue the process of Malwareremoval.
6. you will now be at the main scanner screen. At this point, you must click on the button to view the result .
7. a screen showing all of the malware displayed the program that is
8. you must now click remove selection button to remove all the listed malware. MBAM will now delete all of the files and registry keys and add them to the programs quarantine. When you remove files, MBAM may require a restart in order to eliminate some of them. If it displays a message stating that it needs to restart, please let him do. Once your computer has rebooted, and logged in, please continue with the remaining steps.
9. when MBAM has finished remove the malware, it will open the scan log and display it in Notepad. See the log as desired, and then close the Notepad window.
10. you can now exit the MBAM program.
See you soon.

Because the associations are complex and the registry can be dangerous, the best way to solve your problem is to use the system restore to fix system associations when returning parameters at the same time that they last worked properly. Here's how:
1 - Hold down the Windows key and type R to open the Run dialog box.
2 - paste in this command: %systemroot%\system32\rstrui.exe
3 - follow the instructions to restore your system at a time before, it was working fine.

After the removal of a virus, shortcuts are now asking what program to open it with Vista
I have kaspersky anti virus and it has detected a virus, deleted and I thought everything was fine, but when I click on something like the calculator, Notepad, firefox, whatever it is, it asks me to choose what program I want to open it instead of open it automatically. This isn't a big deal, but it is very irritating and annoying. Other profiles on my computer seem to be. The account is not an administrator account, but has information, I want to keep. Any advice would be appreciated. I ran several other spyware and antivirus scans and all my computer ratio is not affected. Thanks again

When I do a file search he finds all files with the same keyword, I'm on windows 7
File search only returns a file name in the search when there are several files whit the same keyword as I entered, this just started to happen. When I typed a keyword in search it returned previously all files with the same keyword, now it returns only one of the files?
Thanks for your suggestion, I'll give it a try and get back to you.
I agree about the garbage, I got several questions on my HP Desktop & Windows 7. My system crashed once, he took over at Best Buy, they told me my operating system has been altered, but could not tell me how to reload my OS unless I paid them $ 125 for the info. In any case, I took my corrupted HP back at home plugged and it started as nothing is never past, sickening!

How to open the downloaded file Lightroom_6 LS11?
He asked what program to use to open it.
Just to get back to you. It was an expensive trip but I thought about it and it is actually very simple. For some reason, the ".exe" was omitted from the file. When I renamed the file with the name extension, he began the launch. Incredible. In any case, thank you for taking the time to help me.

Applications running automatically, they ask what program to be open in
I have no idea what happened, but now whenever I try to open an application (Internet Explorer, Windows Media Play, whatever it is) it does not work, he asks what program I want to open it in. I found that if I right click on it and select "Start" it works, but I don't want to spend my life to do this whenever I want to check my e-mail, facebook, or simply listen to the music. Anyone know a fix for this? It's really annoying.

The "ini" file usually defines the settings for the program works. It sets up the lanes for the necessary files can be found. How my computer is, he cannot understand the program that wants to be run because the definitions are not defined. What can I do to fix this broken configuration? All this began after I got rid of a bunch of malicious programs.
It seems that your .exe file associations have been lost. To restore file associations, perform the procedure in the following site specific associations to exe. Make sure to read the Special Summit as note specifically relates to lost .exe associations:
