Incoming blackBerry smartphones so call on the headset

Hi all my PC froze this post apparently did not pass by if that was the case I apologize for this doubling. My frustration has almost disappeared, I could improve my 81000 t-mobile from 4.2 to 4.5.

I have a small question if I'm listening to music through headphones and a call is received on the phone would ring but the helmet, but just cut doesn't sound is this normal? Is it possible that I could hear the ringing of the helmet?

On my old phones (with no media player), I could hear the ringing of the helmet.

TXS.

Card integrated sound of the phone doesn't support a single object at a time, either Bluetooth or headphones. If you're jamming on some songs, and you take off your helmet, you will miss the call because you didn't hear in the headphones. So, if the music stops you will know that your phone is dead, or his let the world know you have a new alert.

  • BlackBerry Smartphones Google sync on the blink?

    Hello

I just deleted google sync app to my BB and took the advice of RIM here to allow syncing of my BB calendar with my google calendar - http://btsc.webapps.blackberry.com/btsc/viewdocument.do?noCount=true&externalId=KB24204&sliceId=2&cm...

However, despite advice it is certainly not true that "contributions sent the BlackBerry smartphone are synchronized with the calendar based on the web in a few seconds." I saw an entry on gmail after 10 minutes and I'm still waiting for the others.

Is there a known issue with this? I have no problem with the network at all.

    Hello

I am currently using a 9700 Blackberry on Vodafone UK.
    Platform: 5.1.0.175
    App version: 5.0.0.86 2 (1446)
Free file (after reboot): 108346350 bytes

A battery pull does not resolve the issue.

This screen will appear every time that an incoming or outgoing call is found, this screen will appear when any of my themes are enabled, it's the wallpaper by default blackberry call without calling on the screen data, the call is always the successful and I can use all other functions of blackberry outside the call normally.

    Hello

Did you install the 3rd party applications lately? Have you tried to remove the battery from the BlackBerry smartphone to restart? When did start to happening? Which occurred before it starts?

  • BlackBerry Smartphones Missing calls - the phone rings do not

Sometimes my phone acts as if it were the silent mode: a call comes in and I can see it on the screen, but it does not have a ringing sound. The very next call sounds great, even if it is the same person who called when the phone was silent. The sound settings are set to 'Normal '. The tech at the local store guys are confused.

    Any ideas why this happens?

    Thank you very much!

I had this problem too, and the only solution was to reboot the phone and then remove the battery.  I brought back to the cell shop where I got it; they had placed the phone software updated and location of PRL, they even tried wiping the own phone electronically.

It was an intermittent problem, so I had to constantly check to see if the ringer would work.  If the cell store eventually brought down and replaced by a new.  Now I think it works very well.  Touch wood.

  • BlackBerry smartphone password reset after the end of support

I have no more phone support.

My old password does not work.

I can't get my ID blackberry for work.

I want to just this device to open.

This means that you have your employers device, they have you removed from their network and forced a new password to you. You can call to ask what is the password.

BUT, probably, their intention to reset the password is for you to do a wipe of the device security so that none of the persistent employer email, data, etc., remain on this device.

After clearing security, you end up with essentially a new, fresh, device with no previous, ready to install as a personal device data.

  • BlackBerry smartphones my questions on the Storm 2 9520

Hello everyone I do not have a Blackberry but I intend to update my phone soon and get a (I currently have a Nokia N95 8 GB). I looked through the list of Blackberry models, and the 9520 that I fell in love was the Storm 2 9520. I will probably get one, but I have several questions that I couldn't find clear answers on google. I'm picky about details on a phone, so I want to know everything before get you it. Here is the list of things that I had on my mind:

-J' read that this phone records videos in 3gp format and not mp4. I'm a little worried about that, because I feel 3gp is less intense than mp4 by Windows (Win 7 user here). For example, 3gp, I filmed with an old phone years ago don't even open correctly in most players and no audio. So, is the format the phone records in playable correctly in Windows (Linux too)?

-J' I always rename my pictures and my videos after taking. With the 9520, you can click a button or menu entry to rename an image / clip immediately after making it? Or they be saved with a name only automated, and you need to open your file browser and navigate to the file to be renamed?

-A curiosity, I got on the touch screen if it is based only on the detection of heat or by pressing physics too. What I've seen, the heat detection is used when you lightly touch the screen and select the stuff / drag, while only pressing is used actually click. I'm curious because I could use my phone outside in the winter when I have leather gloves, and the screen can not detect my body energy then. Of course, it is difficult to use any phone with gloves, but I sometimes do to some extent

-Use the charger micro-usb port, or another port? I know that some devices that use USB for charging and connection to the computer, which is a method that I prefer in general. No problem if it is not, just curious.

-In the specs of the phone, it says maximum 8 GB micro-SD cards are supported. Someone can confirm that more cards are inconsistent and do not work (16 / 32 GB ones)?

-J' read on a website that the only way to configure e-mail is to have a Blackberry Enterprise Server (do not exactly know what what). But you need to register with Blackberry using a classic IMAP / POP email account (like gmail or yahoo mail)? And besides, you need to register with any Blackberry service to use 3 G internet supplier or to use messenger (YIM MSN and AIM)? I'm guessing not, but always ask to be sure.

-J' heard some phones have this limit / problem, so just to be safe: can put you MP3 transferred from your computer as ringtones? Or do you need to download them online from special services, as I heard some phones force you to?

-J' read on several websites that there are complications with the installation of applications via the data cable. That's how I install most of my programs of others on phones. So if I have a jar or jad file on my desktop, is there no possible to install it via data cable unless I have an additional file with it? Same question for no java Blackberry applications.

-All Web sites mention that the OS 5 web browser does not support flash on web pages (which I find quite sad). However, I can still play the files flash directly from my phone so I just open the swf file?

-Can you play audio files in ogg / wav format? In addition, it can play video ogv, avi or mpeg?

-Can I download themes for it that change the icons and colors of the menus? I guess the definition of custom screen (independent of the subject) shouldn't be a problem. Also, is there a free software that allows you to create your own themes and exporting it to the phone via data cable?

-Are there also a front-facing camera for 3G video chat?

-J' read on the differences between the 9520 and 9550 and that the 9550 has a frequency of additional network, sure it can work. Everyone says that you can not use a Blackberry in America if you buy it in Europe, in particular the 9520. Is this true? And the more vital than the 9520 9550 compatibility?

-OS 6 will come to the 9520 too? Some sites say it won't, while than others whether in devices that it will support an update. Hope very much it will be

-Finally, this could be a sensitive issue and I don't know how poorly seen on it is here. But it's easy to unlock / debrand the 9520? I would like to get the latest versions of firmware and do not have the limited phone.

Someone mentioned the provider to branding is not done for commercial reasons, but in order to keep the compatible phone (and shouldn't even be illegal to debrand). So I think it should be ok.

Yes, they are a lot of questions that may seem ridiculous. I got this phone for several years, so I want to know all about it. Thanks to all those who can help you meet them, and keep up the good work with phones

3GP is the native video recording format. All you need is the codec on your PC to read. I downloaded a free transcoder and it not only transcode avi (and other formats) for me, but also to put the codec appropriate in what I can play natively without transcoding. QuickTime, I think a codec were also held. There are plenty of audio and the recorded video.

Hmmm... haven't really tried to do... worst case, of course you can rename them later.

In fact, storm BBs use two detection of heat as well as the physical press. It's called SurePress technology. Heat detection determines where on the screen you touch and then physical pressure activates the 'click' somehow. The entire screen is great physical button, whose activity is determined by your finger on the screen position when you press. As such, I doubt it'll work with gloves on at all. I know, on the ski slopes, I remove my glove to do something with my 9550.

On the BB, a port for all functions. Micro USB for charging and attached USB data transfer. When connected to a PC with the drivers installed, the BB will be time load (from the USB port of the PC) as well as allow the transfer of data.

Technically, the BB model is unrelated to the size of the SD card, it supports. It is rather a function of the OS level that the BB is running according to the instructions this KB:

I've never tried it myself, but I'm sure you can define file types to be ringtones to several media.

This issue is not that I consider as responsible. Everyone has their particular circumstances they need to meet. The features of the search machine and the frequency ranges of carriers that you want to run. Then choose the device that fits your specific needs.

With the series Storm conspicuous by their absence, I consider any current to be candidates for the OS6.0 storms. But it is indeed in my humble OPINION.

Hmmm... release information can be found here:

But I'm not sure of your premises. You seem to be saying that you are locked in your level of update of carriers, as long as your BB is blocked. This is false. Unlocking is simply the function to allow your BB run on a network of different carriers... at the level of the BONE is irrelevant to that. You are free to use the carriers released OS for your specific model BB... There is just a tiny thing that you need to follow. But unlocking is not necessary to do so. There's nothing illegal or anything about unlocking. But it is useless unless and until you want to reverse your BB to another carrier.

  • Helmet of blackBerry Smartphones do not control the volume?

Got my PRIV - a few days ago gorgeous!  Still working on understanding all the features and very impressed so far. Unfortunately, I can't get the headset to control the volume of the phone.  The only option seems to be to physically settle on the phone itself.   have you tried with the closed Blackberry headphones and earphones Apple earphones ground Republic - none are able to control the volume on the PRIV.  Please advise - it is an important issue for me, so I may have to return the phone if I can't get one of these (or other) headsets to work right. Thank you.

I am now using Sennheiser M2 OEG headphones with a cord android announced for the Galaxy.  All controls work properly when listening to music via BlackPlayer E.G.  This includes the volume, pause and move forward.

Visually, I see no difference between the Sennheiser sheet and on the BB M-430 headphones.  in other essays of the M-430, I found that the controls on it would increase volume and advance and break functions worked properly, but the '-' grew up Google voice rather than reduce the volume.

I also tried the headset that comes with the private which I had not unpacked I think friction pained headphones very comfortable.  The button on those will stop and start the music but do nothing else.

So the private seems to be picky about this headset is used with it but the controls on some, but not all, headphones will work correctly.  Ironically the Priv do not take care of Blackberry helmets.

With a strong carrier network (for example, not only WiFi), I suggest the following steps, in order, even if they seem redundant to what you have already tried (steps 1 and 2, each should result in a message from your BB... Please wait just before moving on to the next step):

    1) register HRT

    • KB00510 How to register a BlackBerry smartphone with wireless network
    • Please wait a 'registration' message reach your Messages application

    2) Remove and return Service books

    • KB05000 Remove the maintenance book for the BlackBerry Internet Service email account in the BlackBerry smartphone
    • If you do not have access CMIME, continue deleting
    • KB02830 Send the directories for the BlackBerry Internet Service
    • Please wait "the Activation' Messages, one per already configured e-mail account, arrive in your Messages. If you have not already configured email accounts, please wait 1 hour.

    3) restart

    • With power ON, remove the hood back and remove the battery. Wait a minute, then replace the battery and cover. Power on and wait patiently through the long reboot-~ 5 minutes...
    • See if things return to functioning. Like all computing devices, BB suffers from memory leaks and others... with a hard reboot is the best remedy.

I hope that will move things again for you! If this isn't the case, then you should contact your mobile provider for formal support.

N ° of BB devices lack a complete email client on them. Instead, they depend on the BIS service to provide messaging functionality. BIS is active when you have also listed Internet/personal email where you currently see only Enterprise. All services of BIS, are sent to the device via data carrier network... contact them are therefore the right approach to discover why their network is no longer to deliver to you the services that you pay for.

Hello and welcome to the community!

Since little information, we unfortunately have to make assumptions... the content accurate and full of error messages is always more useful than a short short description.

So here's my proposal? Is there a COMPUTER policy on your device?

    • Article ID: KB30076 How to check for an it on a BlackBerry smartphone policy

Is there and you're on BES, then stop now and go talk to your BES admins... they control everything.

If there is and you are not on BES, then you need to clean your unit of the it policy:

    • Article ID: KB31291 How to reset a BlackBerry smartphone to factory using BlackBerry Desktop Software Settings

Be very attentive to provided warnings, particularly the fact that your device will be wiped clean in the process. You can find adequate instructions to backup via the link in my sig auto on this post. But, when you restore, do not full restore... restore instead, only those databases you requested (e.g., calendar, contacts, etc.) and more precisely to avoid restore and data bases that have nothing to do with politics, COMPUTING, business, or anything similar. If you restore the databases, the it policy will be conscientiously restored to your device, and you will be right back where you started.

If there is no COMPUTER policy, contact your mobile provider for formal support.

    Hello

If you've got reliable sources (e.g., BBWorld) apps and they are therefore particularly compatible with your device and the OS level, then it is possible that you have a policy COMPUTER on Board that is blocking them. Reference:

    • Article ID: KB30076 How to check for an it on a BlackBerry smartphone policy

If you indeed have a political TECHNOLOGY and are part of a BES and environment, then stop now and contact your BES admins for help... only they can tell you if what you're trying is against them.

If you have a COMPUTER policy and are not part of BES, then the question arises why the it policy exists on your device. In general, it's because you got 2nd hand device and the seller does not correctly clean it... refer:

    • Article ID: KB05099 Steps to take before selling or after the purchase of a used BlackBerry smartphone

But even without the seller, as long as they did everything in their section of the KB, you can always clean the device of the it policy. The process is to destroy everything, please first review the link in my sig auto on this post for a full and proper backup procedure to follow.

Once you have this full backup, to proceed with this:

    • Article ID: KB31291 How to reset a BlackBerry smartphone to factory using BlackBerry Desktop Software Settings

Thereafter, proceed to restore your applications and data, but DO NOT make a full restore... instead, only a selective restore of the databases you really need (e.g., contacts, calendar, etc.) and specifically avoid restore databases that have nothing to do with politics, COMPUTING, business , or anything similar - if restore you those, he will dutifully restore it on your device policy, and you will be right back where you started.
