  There is a problem early enough in the process if the Profile Manager does not start.
  You can try in Firefox safe mode then you can try in Windows safe mode using the F8 key.

  What you're saying, I wonder if you did a restore of Windows of some form and recreated Firefox like this. Firefox does not always correctly restores windows. You might be looking at re - install Firefox.

  If you are considering relocation do take all options of Windows or Firefox that offers to remove personal settings because that is going to destroy things like passwords and bookmarks.

  Until very recently, when I want to download a pdf file, it will open automatically, and recently, for some reason, it stopped automatically opening and just downloaded on my desktop where I wanted. I found the instructions on Mozilla if files uploaded but not display, displaying my profile and then folder to delete. I've trashed (different from delete?) and now if I try to open Firefox, I get the message that Firefox cannot open/load because the profile is missing. Please tell us how can I get the profile folder in.
