  Make sure you explicitly select the operator (sign +).  You may be misunderstanding the fact that you can see the sign as a default value in the drop-down menu + and think it means it is actually selected when in fact it has not been yet selected.

  So, choose the operator again.

  Dear all,

  I have VMware Service Manager 9.1 and already sync with vClould, I want to create a wrokflow of depoly vCloud machine.

  I searched documents in the vmware documentation centre, and one of the document called 'Cloud-Provisioning-technique-Guide '.

  Honestly, it's too complicated and seems to skip some steps.

  So is - anyone know how to do and have an intruction that shows all the steps?

  In order to understand the workflow, you must first understand the workflow components and they feed the House, in the steps of creating a workflow, everything comes with logic, you have in your mind.

  as you said, you want to deploy machines of vCloud. To do this, you have VM/VAPP model already created in vCloud which you can take as a reference whenever you deploy a VM/vApp.

  Assuming you have TIME/VM already created, now coming to the creation of workflow, this is the simplest ever if you have logic and clear requirement.

  Draw our requirement, a very basic.

  Start deployment-->deploy VM/vApp(this is instantiation process in vCloud)-->Network(Depending on number of NICs present in Actual VM/vApp Template) join-->property change of VM/TIME to treat the initiator-->Power On VM/VAPP-->update of database to make it avaiable in vSM and customer Portal-->and then close the task of deployment.

  If you want, you can include approval process, Email sending process at certain stages of the process. Action is being defined in the outbound action where we take care vSM to run this action outgoing in vCD, is therefore an important part of the workflow.

• Error creating of custom workflow

  I'm new learning tool and that I was going through the technical guide of the vSM and task after provisioning where I am setting Power ON simple Workflow.

  It's like task of start-> Action out of Power On VAPP - > special closure.

  According to tutorial

  

  Where as during execution of the workflow is to return HTTP error response "or a VAPP nor a virtual computer have been specified as an argument."

  I would really appriciate if someone can let me know how can I provide VAPP / name of the virtual machine as an arrgument?

  Have users copy and paste a URL is not a feasible process - as you say.

  Gary is right about the need to specify what TIME the outbound action should be performed on. The system cannot guess for you, or make assumptions.

  The details are there in the relevant documents - although I think that they are not very easy to read. Check Service user's Guide catalog v9.1 and commissioning of Cloud v9.1 - Technical Guide that should help you.

  What I did customize the RSF for include a drop down of available vApps (there is a particular type of drop customized down to the provision of the clouds - details are in the manaul somewhere - I don't have the handy page number). The customer chooses the VAPP in the list when you fill in the Service Action form, and then you pass this value to the workflow via the task field mappings outgoing actions.

  Another thing to watch: do not use the power in the form of action coming out. Use Deploy/undeploy. I'm not sure of the reasoning why, but this is also noted in the documentation.

  This code works fine when tested on a separate page, standalone HTML, but whenever I try to update in advanced actions, it will not change.  When you take things off line by line, I discovered it's the loop who dislikes Captivate.

  What I'm missing here?  Thank you guys!

  Generally, you cannot use a loop in the JS window.

  Only programs that were written for Windows will appear in programs and features. Check the documentation that came with your program, or go to the manufacturer's Web site. Most of the programs moved into the C:\Program Files folder.

• EqualLogic VSM 3.5.2 connection problems

  I just installed the EQL 3.5.2 VSM and have trouble connecting it.

  In the vSphere Client, I click home, and then click Dell EqualLogic Virtual Storage Manager. This will open a new window with the Dell Logo and a link "launch Virtual Storage Manager" and a link "action, access device (root password /).

  I click on the link launch Virtual Storage Manager and it opens a window of name of user and password (similar to that used for the Workgroup Manager login prompt). I tried a few different accounts, and none of them work.

  I tried my own personal account (domain administrators), the vCenter service account and the admin@system-domain account. I created a new account AD (EQL. VSM), added as an administrator local on the vCenter server and then added to the Administrator role in vCenter. Still does not work.

  What type of account am I suppose to use here?

  The vSphere Client does not pass credentials to the VSM application so it's not now, under which the user is a to the works. If you read carefully, you will find the login window, he asked credentials of YOUR vSphere then provide your username and the password you normly use to connect in vCenter Server Application.

  If you configure Windows AD in vSphere and already assign user/perm, you must use "domain\user".

  I have the critical state of the software on one of the servers VSM. I checked the logs and there was an error "recorder_oversubscribed." In the newspapers Mary errors related to excess applications. When I checked the status of the /media1 repository I found that the drive indicate the use of 95%. In the same time repository /media2 used only 23% of the free space. As I understand I have to make a balance between these readers with a script. But I have not found any script that can help me without lost any data. Can someone help with this problem?

  You are right.  In the current model of VSMs, whenever a flow of data record is started, it assigned one of the repositories available media registered in the system, and that's where * he stays * no matter how lopsided the storage in repositories becomes.

  The only non-destructive solution I've seen to this problem involves intelligently and _manually_ select which records you want to reassign to repositories other settings using the created Cisco support script 'chloc.sh '.  This script updates the database backend for an individual record VSMS and ordered to run * new * records in a spare storage space.  This means that you * don't * see dramatic changes of storage immediately.  Most of the video data will shift / time / new data accumulates in the new location, while being "organic farming" (gradually) treated away from the original location.

  If this is a possibility, you must open a case of pension of TAC for assistance of official support for this issue.  They can provide you with the above shell script.

  If this isn't an option, I could describe the processes required to accomplish what you need, but I am NOT Cisco, and all actions would be at YOUR OWN RISK.

  Quick question, currently, our VSM uses by default the 'Description' tab when prevention measures or update of an appeal as in the screenshot below.

  

  It's pretty frustrating for our staff who need to constantly change in the tab Actions and Solutions to enter another update. It would be our preference to have it default to this tab when a decision on the appeal. Is this possible? We had no chance when with VMWare in connection with it.

  The uid of action defined in plugin.xml must match the event in the RequestHandler (here you have com.todo.actions.DatacenterAction1)

• Is it possible to modify the XML mapped schema that is generated by the action of submit before submitting?

  I have a form created in LiveCycle ES2. I have a few fields mapped to a schema which causes LC to generate XML data that follow the format for importing one of the internal databases of my company.

  There is a problem: the system import feature seeks a DOCTYPE DTD declaration between the XML declaration and root element. I tried including the declaration in the schema, but LC does not include it in the values mapped or export. I spoke with the seller on the declaration of the DTD as part of the import function and they gave a firm "no."

  Is there a way to insert a single line of markup in the XML that LC generates in the action to submit before the XML code is attached to the email?

  You can use XSLT to transform the outbound data.

  I have never done this for the addition of a DTD, but Google finds solutions for the term "xslt adds dtd" it should be possible.

• VSM vCloud Director connector question

  We are on the VSM 9 R8. After completing all the mappings in various models of demand, when I try to call outgoing vCloud action 'Instantiate VAPP model"Director of the connector, my request is a failure with the error:

  DATA: VAPP model missing href

  Even if I add 'href' as a custom field in the CMDB VAPP model element and map it on the "API URL" field of the resource in the "resources" tab I'm dealing with the same error.

  All the world is facing this issue before? Also, I can't find the location of the logs for the VSM workflows. Can someone point me to the right direction?
