The more affordable model that I can find is the AIR-LAP1142N-A-K9 but, I want to confirm that this new device doesn't have a WLC to work. I don't expect that this device is like a 1121 where I attribute is an IP address and manage it from a browser or from the telnet session, no required WLC.
