Increase dedicated memory graphic Skylake HD
Hey :). I come from a Lenovo machine (which I returned due to building defects).
In the Lenovo BIOS, could increase dedicated graphics memory. XPS 13 remains to 128, with more available as "shared." Does this affect performance? How can you increase the memory dedicated XPS 13? For Lenovo, it was possible, and it was also Skylake.
There is no way - the 128 M is the Z-buffer - not the dedicated video memory (in fact NO video memory dedicated - is all the system RAM). The driver will allocate as much RAM system needed up to the maximum allowed by the total RAM in the system - there is no way to send it manually.

I bought an another HP TC4200 on ebay, I was wondering if I could increase safely shared graphics memory. I've played Netflix and Hulu thin on the 1st 4200, but with the nexted that I hoped to spend to play HD videos since I connect it to my TV.
(Got tired of paying Microsoft $10 just to watch Netflix on my XBOX, since I hardly play on it)
You can not directly increase graphics memory.
Its not like RAM, where you can add more memory with a different RAM slot.
You may need to install the new graphics card if supported.
Is there a way to increase the RAM dedicated to the graphics chip (Intel 4600)? I would benefit from it? I tried to look in the BIOS, but it is not an option for that.
My PC has 12 GB of RAM - 10 (64-bit) Windows
@Adrianrff, welcome to the forum.
No, there is no way to increase the amount of video memory. The only way to do it is by adding a discrete video card. In addition, it would require a power supply unit (PSU) upgrade. The existing PSU is only 300W.
Please click on the button + Thumbs up if I helped you and click on accept as Solution If your problem is resolved.
I would like to know if it is provided on the model of Satellite C660-22V power added module memory ram wifi blutooth and more particularly to a graphic chipset dedicated.
I ask this question because I am unable to run to download my 'work' was known 3D Lightwave 9.6 of NewTek ('_') and fusion 6.1 of eyeon software.
evryones be dongled.
It seems that these two programs is the dedicated requires memory.
Thanks for the help...
To be honest, your post is a little confusing.
The laptop seems to support the Intel HM55 HD graphics chip and a part of the main memory would be shared by the graphics chip too.
This info is helpful?
Many of the most demanding games require a certain amount of RAM is pretty much dedicated to your graphics card and after hours of trying to figure out how I came empty. On most desktop computers and some portable computers, you can go into the BIOS and change it, but not on the HP Envy 17 t (tried the BIOS update). I really don't know not how much difference it would make to the gameplay, but considering how I have an extra 11 GB of RAM when I use rarely more than 4 GB it would be nice to be able to put some of it to use. There are also a few games that I want to play that requires a minimum amount able to be launched in all the (COD: AW). The customer support has tried without success. After an hour in vain and didn't want the trouble to sit on the phone with them. Googling also didn't help much. If has any who still understood?
OS: Windows 8.1
Current dedicated video Ram: 0 MB
Not really, for example at the beginning with a game, it takes only .5Gb and system has 1.5 GB free, System onlu allocate .5Gb for VRAM, it is a dynamic allocation is not fixed.
I encountered this problem several times. When I bought my laptop I also updated with her graphics. For most of the games the computer, just barely sometimes works, but it works.
However, for about 3 games I bought the graphics card is not allocated enough memory. I tried to go into the BIOS and change the amount of memory, it is allowed, but I not even give me the option to change it.
Memory of the graph of the map is the only thing that prevents me from playing all my games smoothly and it is really boring, exspecially because I bought the graphics card updated, so I wouldn't this problem.
I have a HP pavilion dm4 with a processor intel core i5 and and a family Intel HD graphics card. I contacted intel and they say it's a problem that HP can fix with the motherboard.
Any suggestions? I really do not have to buy a new computer because an it is missing on my computer.
... Do you know where I might look into updating everything?
Buy a new machine, much cheaper.
I am trying to increase dedicated graphics memory allocation, and I read that I can do this if the BIOS, but I have absolutely no idea how access.
Any help would be appreciated.
To be honest I m not sure that you can do, but when you start your laptop press F2 repeatedly and you should be able to enter the BIOS settings.
In my Windows experience index my games graphics Score is 3.1, my base score.
This is my base score, and to increase it, I was thinking of increasing the memory.
I don't know how to increase it, or if it's the right solution.
Here are the results of the test:
Type of view map Total available graphics memory 358 MB Mobile Intel (r) 965 Express Chipset Family Dedicated graphics memory 0 MB Dedicated system memory 64 MB Shared system memory 294 MB Display adapter driver version 18.104.22.16896 Resolution of the primary monitor 1280 x 800 Version of DirectX DirectX 10
now how can I increase it (it's in a laptop) Please help me!

As you are interested to learn more about the increase in the memory of the dedicated graphics card, I advise you to buy an external graphics card. You can do this by contacting the manufacturer of the computer or the store local tech.
I would also say to update you Direct X 10 for direct X 11 and check if it helps.
I hope it helps. If you have any questions about Windows in the future, please let us know. We will be happy to help you.
Hi, my computer is a Windows Vista Ultimate, Intel Core to Duo T7700 2.4 GHz, 4 GB of RAM, 2 GB of RAM, blah blah blah, video Total rest is not necessary.Anyway, I wanted to know how to increase my DEDICATED VIDEO RAM, not the total. Currently, my dedicated video memory is sitting up to 256 MB, which means approximately 1.74 GB of video RAM is not used (supposedly).I tried everything to my Start menu to enter the "BIOS", which everyone says is the way to change the dedicated video memory. Unfortunately, the BIOS does not turn upward anywhere and I can't find another way to change the dedicated video memory. What is the easiest or more simplified to change my dedicated video memory? Or I do something wrong?Any help would be appreciated. Thank you.P.S. I use my computer to play various games (that you might have supposed), but I have played games that require more dedicated video RAM to display for my computer, for example 512 MB, while I have 256 MB, as mentioned previously. The games work well and generally smooth. Is it just because of the CPU or is my video memory dedicated, is actually just a mask for the amount of RAM? Or maybe something else?
Hi look at these linksIf you use toshiba check this
I have a PC HP TouchSmart 520, and my dedicated memory is only 64 MB, in order to play the game I want, I need 128 MB. Is it possible to increase memory or which allows somehow more? As this is the only issue that prevents me to play my game, help would be appreciated.
Hello again dwalker24,
I'm not able to give a specific recommendation, because its graphics card is a personal choice, but I can give you the Google link to review some video cards in your region:
I hope this helps, and I hope you have yourself a great day!
Mr President, I have Laptop Inspiron 15 3520 with intel core i5 3210 m CPU @ Ghz (4CPUs) 2.50 and 8 GB ram with dedicated 32 MB video memory and system memory shared 1632 MB. I can't yet be able to play games like euro truck simulator 2 at least at low without loving. I can not even able to install GTA 4 because of dedicated video memory is 32 MB was is 256 MB.so can u say any process to increase dedicated video memory.
The only way to do this is by purchasing a laptop computer with a video chip dedicated or hybrid - there is no way to increase the video memory on your system.
I just want to know find best video memory, I just want to play overwatch but need 712 when I see network that I can increase my memory and I relly want to do so I just add ram 2g computer laptop

Hi, I have a noob question q :)
I use XP Professional.
My L300D-10B, using the Videocard ATI Radeon X 1200 Seris with 800 MB shared memory, but the work on 128.
I have a question; How can I up to 256? There were just 800?
I have 2 GB of RAM and I think that can up to 256, but how?
I chek the bios, but not found anything with this stuff...
I am from Bulgaria if Bulgarian too may have to help me or if not some tell me...
A man told me things for some Toshiba KEY... to unlock an option in my bios I send emails but...
And if do made 256 will have a good effect specialty for the games or not?
It's all thanks. :]
If you now 800 MB shared memory, you have quite 928 MB memory graphics.
A dedicated video memory 256 MB upgrade is not possible because the graphics card is soldered on the motherboard and t can be exchanged. Who you mans can only increase the total available graphics memory, with more RAM.
Hello please I need help for my
Pavilion laptop - 15-p100ni (ENERGY STAR)
How can I increase my memory dedicated on this computer because now my dedicated memory is 0MB

I've already updated my graphics card and my bios drivers + my network but driver no change
You do not have dedicated RAM, it is shared RAM with the system and Intel HD dedicated memory is only for what system have their own video Ram and the RAM memory of the system.
How to increase shared memory for display from 64 MB to 512 MB?
It is not possible.
You cannot change the value manually the graphic card driver controls cela and it changes automatically.
In addition, your laptop supports an internal graphics Intel HD (HM55) card and this chip is not really suitable for the game.
