• How to increase time to a clip of introduction

  Hello. I'm working on my first video. I finished almost everything, including the editing and

  adding in a secondary soundtrack. Now, I have to add voice over clips for each segment.

  When recording the voice over for the segment of the initialization sequence (a fade to the black segment with an illustrator/title field), I realized that the voiceover required is much longer than the black clip fade I originally put in the video; the voice-over is 21.9 seconds of time and fade to black segment is only 5 seconds long.

  I tried to simply move the right edge of the lead-in segment to the right to extend the time, but nothing happens. I can't get any video to extend his timeline. I must of course have locked up some or all of the segments, but I can't seem to understand how unlock so I can extend the segment of the initialization sequence.

  Can someone tell me what I am doing wrong or what I need to do to solve this problem. There must be a simple way to extend the chronology of the lead-in segment, and I just lack.

  Hold the Ctrl key when you click on the tail of the Clip, you need to expand and drag it to the desired length. That will force all after move down too.

• Creative cloud increases Windows 10 stopping time

  HI HI. I am a student and a TA for an intro to Film class. Although I'm not currently a Subscriber I like to keep creative cloud and Premier Pro on my system, just in case people needed the latest version. (School tends to be 1 or 2 steps behind several times.)

  I recently upgraded to 10 Windows and reinstalled just yesterday. On stop last night and the test again this morning, stop with background cloud Creative services on GREATLY increased stopped in time. (Upwards of like 30 seconds to 3 minutes). Tests by closing them manually before closing the system down it closed within the normal period. Is there a way to prevent ALL of these services to run until I opened the creative cloud or Premier Pro?

  My laptop Satellite Pro A200 is a little over 1.5 years (or young: P) and I have a huge problem with the battery - it only lasts for a total of _26 minutes_ under "high performace" mode in Vista - other modes the power increase time to 5-7 minutes.

  I've tweated the system configuration for:
  -too few programs running at startup;
  d ' use as little memory in what concerns the graphics (as in the disabled vista themes and operations "fantasies" show window contents while dragging).
  -stay on the low light.

  The programs that run at startup are my anti virus (F-Secure) and ATI catalyst control.

  I also cleaned the registry conflicts and scan for viruses regularly.

  I used Ubuntu on this laptop as well and the battery life is not that much better, which leads me to the conclusion that the battery comes to an end.

  I was wondering if this duration of battery life (26 minutes max on high performace) is normal for a laptop after only 1.5 years? * (I don't remember how long it has lasted when I first bought).

  Also, I have a laptop from other manufacturer of 2 years and its battery lasts a minimum of 4 hours (on Windows XP).
  The two laptop batteries are 6 cells.

  Any suggestions on how to improve my battery life?

  Battery working time depends on different factors:

  If parts of different hardware such as CPU, GPU, HDD, ODD, display perform better performance then dramatically decreases your battery work time
  In addition, if you lose a stronger battery (9 or 12 cells cell) then you should be abele run Notepad a lot more time using the battery power.
  In addition, the battery loses the own performance systematically and after a long period of use, you will need to replace the battery.

  Thanks for the reply.  Try the following steps.

  I would first disconnect the router and the printer for about 1 minute. I would plug the router first then the printer. I would then try to enable web services. If not successful, and you get the same error message. I'd follow these steps.

  1 obtain the IP address of your printer

  a. This can be done by pressing the icon on the printer wireless.

  2. Enter the printer's IP address in a browser.

  3. Select the tab network at the top of the page.

  4. on the left, select network.

  5. Select Network (IP) address

  6. select manual DNS server

  a. manual Preferred DNS should read 8.8.8.8

  b. alternate DNS server should read. 8.8.4.4

  7. Select apply you could get a fair warning select OK.

  Thanks for posting.

  The time of shooting is part of the EXIF information integrated with each image in the camera he took.  ImageBrowser doesn't have a tool that allows the EXIF information to be edited.

  However, if you find the image on your computer, using WIndows Explorer, for example, you can right click the image and view its properties.  You can try to set the date of shooting like that.

• Video takes a LONG time

  Howdy, everyone. I am currently shopping around for a video editing application, and I'm using the trial version of Adobe Premiere Elements. I love everything about it so far, except for one thing. It takes a long time to save the final video file (from the tab share). I noticed he gets to 50% fairly quickly, probably within five minutes and at that time there the progress bar slows down to a crawl. It takes more than two hours for the last 50% complete.   The window says that I would wait the video size to be 53MB in size, which seems reasonable. But when it finishes, it is more than ten times greater than this estimate. I don't understand why the file size is so big and the render time is so long.

  WMV is a highly compressed format/CODEC, and the duration of the treatment will depend on several factors:

  Your CPU, which is not as powerful in your case

  Your auxiliary I/o system, which is probably a single HDD on your laptop

  The source footage. What is your source footage?

  No effect added to the images. You have all the effects?

  Each of them will have an impact on the time required.

  The trial is that a single main limitation - watermark. Now, there are some components that need to be triggered, but are not tested, but they would not obvious with the import of your source footage, if it is a question.

It is not until that time where the system becomes usable. What is happening at each startup and lasts about 15 minutes for the system be usable.   Your list is very different and much longer than mine. My first thought is that you have the programs loading at startup that might as well load up on request. A useful tool for watching the startup items is Autoruns.

  QUESTION: Did anyone know if you can set the slide show according to different sides so that the slide show will play only pictures rated 4 and 5 stars for any folder of pictures (and not show photos rated 3 and below)?

  PROBLEM: It seems that you can set Media Center to view a slideshow of 4 and 5 star pictures for every single photo on a computer in a massive slide show. If it is possible to change my slide show's settings so that I can see the pictures of only 4 and 5 stars (and no pictures rated 3 and below) for any given issue, I was not able to find it.

  USER SCENARIO: I shoot 1,000 photos at a wedding and I rate 30 of these 5 stars, I note one another 900 as 4 stars, 50 I rate 3 stars, and the other 20 Note: 1 star for eventual deletion. I want someone to be able to use Media Center to show only the photos of 5 stars to friends (30 photos), but when family comes and they want to see more photos, they can change the Media Center slide show's settings so that the family sees only the photos 4 stars and 5 stars (80 photos).

  NOTE: It seems to me that the global settings are a limited setting or another, but never a combination of two or more. I can view and play photos in a folder given with Media Center in an appreciation of deceasing order, it does not work for associated events like a wedding time, or I can see all 4 and 5 stars for my entire computer, but not folder?

  Any help on this or recommended 3rd party Slideshow program would be greatly appreciated.

  To do this, follow these steps:
  1 exit any running instance of Windows Media Center.
  2 delete the mediaCenterDataStore.db file. By default, this file is located in the following location:

  6. click Yes to confirm that you want to move the Mediacenterdatastore.db file to the trash.
  7 restart the computer so that the changes take effect after you perform the steps.

• Preserve the favorite iPhone in Lightroom?

  I can't find an answer on the forum or online.  My workflow has been less that optimal because I bought an iPhone in December, and I'm trying to find a way to recover.

  I have now 11 000 photos on my phone - with 1,000 marked as Favorites.  My workflow in the past, with a camera, was to download my photos in a folder and then process in Lightroom - including their ratings.  But I'm at a loss of what to do now.  I have all kinds of ways to get pictures from my phone.  But most of them do not save "Favorites" to the extent indicated in the iOS.  I know that Lightroom Mobile on my iPhone (just installed) does not recognize them.

  One approach is to forget and re - note in Lightroom.  But maybe I could re-download with Photos, ask him to save the notes in the metadata, and then Lightroom will recognize?

  My hope is to use Lightroom in the future, but I'm swamped, whenever I think about it.  (A separate issue is the flow of work in the future.  I think Lightroom mobile, rather than pictures of iOS, for ratings online.)

  Thanks for all the help.  To close the loop on this request, here are the steps I followed.  They proved to be relatively simple, but a little slow.  I had six months of pictures that I had assessed only on my iPhone, but had not yet imported or processed in Lightroom. There is no overlap.  Otherwise, I would have probably re-rate them.

  The steps:

  1. Download all the photos for the Photos App on OSX icloud.  (It was slow - he did it wireless, which took a few days.) "I couldn't understand a quicker way to synchronize directly without using iCloud.)
  2. In Photos, select the 'Favorites' album (which had more than 1000 ones I ' D "hearted" on my iPhone).  Add a "favorite" keyword for these photos.
  3. Export all the photos of Photos on my hard drive.  Confirm that the keyword went with it.
  4. Rename photos using ExifRenamer for names photo showed dates and times, as well as the name of the original file (if, for example, IMG_1234.jpg becomes 2015-12 - 08_21h58m25s_1234.jpg)
  5. Download videos from iPhone separately using ImageCapture and rename with ExifRenamer.  The reason is that, when exports of Photos, videos, information on the time of shooting is lost.
  6. Import in Lightroom
  7. Confirm that "Favorites" keyword is appeared in LR.  (For unknown reasons, I had to do twice the steps 3 to 7  I had started making an experience with some pictures, and it worked; but when I did all the pictures, key words had got lost somewhere between steps 3 and 6).

  I will improve my workflow move forward to avoid having to redo all this!  I also realized that I won't stay in the Apple ecosystem (with all the photos in their own massive proprietary database) :-)
