  I have a new computer and I have installed InDesign out of the creative cloud and when I open the program, the screen flashes black and white and I am unable to select one of the drop down tabs menu.  Photoshop and Dreamweaver work perfectly, so I'm not sure what the problem is with InDesign.   I think I've seen reports of this problem with the new workspace of departure which is new.

  If you can press Cmd - K (Mac) or Ctrl-K (Windows) to open the preferences > General > uncheck 'Show 'Start' workspace... '.

  This card is connected at the end of the RGB port at the end of the RGB cable + delivered?

  I saw this little booklet several times but I n t try to connect it to the TV but the principle on all laptops from Toshiba is the same. It is of course much easier with laptops that have S-Video output port.

  First I want to apologize for the delay in responding.

  This issue could have caused due to not having updated due to hardware or driver related issues. I suggest you try to update the drivers of webcam and check if it helps. See the hyperlink "update a hardware driver that is not working properly" in the following Microsoft Help update the webcam driver.

• InDesign - type display images appear black and white and grainy

  Please help! I have scoured the internet looking for a solution to this problem for many years and were generally able to work around it so far.

  A bit of background first: all the images are recorded as a dish, .eps, CMYK, 300 dpi (about 6 inches square), with clipping paths. All images are created from the same Photoshop file (working model) - photo of a single bucket on a white background, with an existing clipping path. Illustrator illustration is placed in this file and distorted to create images for the various products that we manufacture. (Rather than photograph each bucket with a tag on it).

  Issue 1:

  What seems to be completely random, sometimes square or re-related images in InDesign appear black and white dotted with images (typical display). I used to get frustrated with it, but since I couldn't find a solution, I usually ignore it because the "high quality screen" works very well.

  Two of these buckets below have been created since the same file photoshop, the same day, saved in the same way. The two shown here in typical display.

  2nd question:

  Now, I create a new InDesign "Data sheet" model for our products and each sheet will have 3 buckets shown. Because the buckets are white, I add shadows laid and Interior to create the deep shadows. I want to be able to create a Standard model, given that several designers in our Department are going to access it and when they create a new datasheet, all they need to do is add a link to the photos of the bucket for the new product (which will be created from the photoshop, existing model) and drop shadow/inner shadows everything remain the same.

  On the images that become black and white grainy (3085 above), the effects are applied to the colored areas of the buckets, no not the path of clipped bucket.

  This screenshot below shows two buckets to high quality screen. I've selected two images and try to apply the same exact shadow, but as you can see on the left is almost ghost image of bucket. The two images have the exact same clipping on them. Help, please!

  

  SPE is no longer recommended for use with InDesign format. Because these files have some content vector and raster, save it as a Photoshop PDF and see if it helps.

  I often print black & white work on an Epson, using advanced black & white in the print driver.

  A quick Internet search found that there is something similar for Canon - Canon: PIXMA Manual: Guide to Digital Photo printing: printing black and white

  I print files scanned in grayscale and have the profile to grayscale in PS 2.2 Gamma value.

  If you print digital photos, they will be RGB, but which will probably make no difference. But you have to read the documentation for the Canon if it will be. IOW - if the image must be in grayscale or RGB levels.

  Something very important when printing as this is to set the printer to manage colors (not PS) in the dialog box print of PS.

  I just do the conversion to black and white in Photoshop and import the image.  If the intention is to tarnsition of black and white to color (or vice versa), then I would have melted the _alpha of a movieclip taking the image.

• When Vista (Home premium) end its commissioning, my switches in black and white color scheme. I can't go back to the color. I looked at the display settings and they say all in colour, however, I am always shows black and white.

  Color screen is permenantly black and white. cannot change color and all the display settings are in color. Monitor is always on the color, its just something that vista went to. At the start of vista, it's after start of switches in black and white and color. I can't see where it get back to normal.

  (1) do you have because of recent changes, after which the problem occurred?

  The first thing I would say is to update or rather uninstall and reinstall display drivers and who might have to deal with the issue.

  Also I suggest you try to use another monitor to see if it is not a problem with the monitor.

  Let us know if the problem persists after the driver updates.

• Vista for admin is displayed in black and white, safe mode he color__How can I solve this?

  It's for my computer vista laptop professional 32-bit, I run, I have a NVIDIA Geforce 9600 M GT video card, which displays its colors very well in safe mode which I am right now.

I tried to access low and high graphic games after the problem, and the low graphic games can be played in black and white, while the high graphic games are not. They display an error on x-ray engine which I assume is due to the lack of color on the screen.

  I also tried a system restore, but it failed because all the 3 times, he showed that nothing has changed for the restoration of the system has failed.

  I hope this is enough information to troubleshoot. (I restarted and tried to update and even downloaded program Mr. Fix It Microsoft and unsuccessfully yet.)

  They appear in color on the screen.

  Have you checked the setting according to your image to make sure that it is not set to print grayscale?

• My black and white pictures turn into color when I open them in photoshop.

  When I open my black and white images that are saved on my computer in photoshop, they turn into color stills.

  The footage was shot on Sony a7s raw format.

  In Camera Raw, click LGV / tab grayscale and check convert to grayscale.

  It will open with a mixture of default, but you can change the brightness of the colors according to your preferences.

  I have Photoshop CS5 12.1 x 64 on a MacBook Pro with OS 10.10.5 with a Canon Pixma MP560 printer. Until a few minutes ago, has been printing very good Photoshop, but now it prints all graphics in black and white color. Before posting this request, I tried the printer on several other applications, including Word, Firefox and Adobe Acrobat, and all are printed correctly. Apparently, I clicked inadvertently something in Photoshop which has not extinguished color printing. I've attached a screenshot of a dialog box print in Photoshop with a simple image two-tone.   In the first screen, uncheck grayscale printing. It is another name for black & white.
