InDesign - Guides disappear behind the placed images?

Hi - I'm having a strange problem at hand.

Whenever I place a guide on the page, it shows until an image is placed above him, and then he disappears behind the image. I can still click on it and see that highlight, but once I click on something else it disappears.

Someone had this problem? Any ideas to solve the problems?

Thank you!

There are guides in back option in Prefs:

Is it permits?

  • Help: content partly disappears behind the menu bar in Apple computers

    Hello

    I have a problem with my Web site which wasn't there when I bought the model. But along the way that this has happened and we do not understand why or how to solve this problem. The thing is that for pages like the shop/blog pages and account/high connection to the content of the page disappears behind the menu bar (see first screenshot). However, this happens only on Apple computers.

    Schermafbeelding 2016-05-26 om 18.00.47.png

    On my Apple computer, we were able to manually set the top of the pages, but the opening on another computer of Apple the same problem occurs; It is therefore not a real solution. And we now have the issue that on an iPhone or iPad (Apple gadgets) there is too much white space between the menu bar and in the header of the main image on all pages except the home page (see 2nd screen printing).

    Schermafbeelding 2016-05-26 om 17.59.34.png

    It is the original model: http://uguru-assisted-living-us.businesscatalyst.com.

    It's my Web site: www.yfkelaanstra.com (and .nl)

    In the model, you can see that the bar of menus covered the content first and was transparant but we changed it to a non-transparant menu bar. Maybe something was wrong there... I have no idea.

    Anyone with advice or who would like to have a look, do not hesitate to contact me. I really hope we can fix it.

    I thank very you much for your time.

    Hello

    This is a really simple solution, you need to change your header absolutely static position.

    line 199 in style.css:

    current:

    {to header

    position: absolute;

    z-index: 1000;

    Width: 100%;

    border-bottom: 2px solid #eaeef1;

    }

    Replace:

    {to header

    position: static;

    z-index: 1000;

    Width: 100%;

    border-bottom: 2px solid #eaeef1;

    }

  • My mouse cursor disappears behind the image, I work with!

    While I was working on an image in Photoshop, my mouse cursor disappeared. No line of sight (I already tried to turn the caps lock). He had just disappeared. I was moving my mouse and it appears each time I chose a new tool or when I work with layers or when I use something in the drop-down menu, the mouse is there when I did open in Photoshop - just at the moment where I have the program open - but whenever I start to work on an image or a blank canvas disappears that's going under canvas (I found that I can still draw and erase on the canvas, I can just say where because the cursor has gone). It's frustrating because I use Photoshop to create my digital work and my drawing pad is small, so I need to know where my cursor to shoot accurately.

    (I use Photoshop CS6 and I use it on HP EliteBook with Windows 8)

    Things I did to solve the problem so far: I downloaded the current update of Adobe, I tried to adjust my settings to properties on my computer, I tried to adjust my cursor settings in my preferences, I tried to reset my presets - thinking I might have Miss clicked on a key combination to achieve - I also tried closing and go into Photoshop, even turned off my computer , let rest and then back on. But my mouse cursor continues to disappear under the canvas.

    I intend uninstalling and then reinstalling my software Photoshop - I hope it works. Otherwise, if it is not, someone knows how to fix this?

    Okay, so I figured this out how to solve this problem, a few days after the publication of my question. If you have the Nezumi Pro plugin for your Photoshop there is an option in settings of Nezumi to hide your cursor which can be easily activated by Miss simply by clicking F6. Once I understood this and changed my cursor back to normal settings, my mouse reappeared.

    Hello

    I have a static image - it's a wall with a window. -It is a PNG image with a rectangular hole where the window would be.

    But then I have a scrolling of images - it's clouds.

    I can't image of cloud behind the window to extract the effect I'm after. Everything is in place, but the clouds are overlapping the top and bottom of the wall scroll (corresponding to the cutting of the window).

  • Text disappears behind the background

    Hai

    I am very new to After Effects (I "ve started a day ago) and I followed this tutorial (After Effects Tutorial - based typography & Motion Graphics - YouTube) to do a song in video.
    However, when I try to drag my text on the background 3D Gizmo (as shown at 20:16), he disappears behind it rather than standing in front of it.

    I'm terrible at explaining so I took a screenshot:Screenshot_5.png

    Any help would be very much appreciated

    Thank you

    In order to tell us exactly what is happening, we need see the properties of the text layer and the background or rather layer of soil. I'm guessing that your position Z is just next door.

  • Get the link to the placed image

    I put a graphic image on a page file in a JavaScript InDesign (CS6):

    var imageArray = page.place (imprintFile, [imprintImageLeft, imprintImageTop]);

    var imprintImage = imageArray [0];

    var imprintImageFrame = imprintImage.parent;

    var imprintLink = myDoc.links.lastItem ();

    I want to get the link that is created when the image is placed. What is the way to do it (the lastItem table of reference links)?

    All I want to do is to ungroup the image to make it embedded. Is there a better way to do it?

    Thank you!

    Hello

    calling the unlink() with your link image property:

    imprintImage.itemLink.unlink();

  • Size of the placed Image and the difference in quality

    Hello world

    I'm under Indesign Adobe cs6 Version 8.01

    I have a document which is 2048px x 1536px (for iPad resolution Retina display).

    I reszied all my images to about 1140px x 760px at 300PPI

    When I place images in Indesign it resizes the image to 180px x 272px

    The number of effective pixels and actual pixels are 300 PPI resolution that I've resized the in photoshop under the links section

    The quality of the preview is set high quality

    In the File Handling preferences preserve Image Dimensions when the restoration of the links are on

    I tried to save the image in Jpeg, Tiff and PNG formats to solve the problem

    I set my default object style Frame Gun on site and be sure to adjust automatically is checked and the editing of content is set to None.

    What can be done to rememdy this problem?

    I want just the images that I've resized in Photoshop CS6 to be placed in the exact dimensions that I've resized to do the set up files simple and easy.

    If you can please help with this problem as soon as possible I would be very happy.

    Thank you very much

    Save images to 72 dpi (without resampling), or their scale in ID.

  • Cannot add to the placed Images Alt tags

    I develop a flyer to be distributed in PDF format, and our demand is that he is 'Section 508' compatible, that is readable by a screen reader. I am trying to add tags alt on images in order to meet this requirement, but when I go to object -> Object Export Options and click the ALT text tab, the dropSource text Alt is dimmed and does not allow me to do something.

    Does anyone have an idea of what's not here?

    This works for me in the latest version of InDesign CC.

    Version of InDesign? Computing platform? What file format is the image?

  • Px of the placed image dimensions do not match illustrator.

    I have a 900 x 900 px image and a work plan 900 x 900 px.

    When I place the image on the artboard.

    the image is 675.094x675.094 px

    How can I place the image in its original size?

    Windows 7 | CS5

    Before placing them in Illustrator, re - save the image with either 72 DPI or remove its meta data. You can remove metadata in Photoshop when registering for the web and devices.

  • the placed images appear pixelated

    Hello

    I am trying to create a presentation for a comic to indesign.

    the images I use are 300 PPI images. When I place

    in indesign, they appear pixelated. I changed the screen high

    the quality and the effective ppi of the ISC 300 images. What

    otherwise may be the cause?

    You always use the preview a sous-echantillonnees. If ID each image displayed on a page, as it appears in the program Photoshop would never go. How they print?

  • geometricBounds undefined for the placed image

    Hi all

    I am just placing graphics inserted into a textFrame and their size so that they are exactly the same width as the textFrame. I mainly do this:

    var reportFrame = app.selection [0]; Suppose that a block of text is selected

    chart of var = new File ("foo.png").

    var insPoint = reportFrame.insertionPoints.lastItem ();
    inline var = insPoint.place (graphic) [0];

    If {(inline.isValid)

    var inlineBounds = inline.geometricBounds;

    }

    The last line fails, even if valid, fixed graphic because the graphic is larger than the text block (so the text block is full). Apparently in this case, InDesign doesn't keep track of the limits of the object, as part of the object is outside the (logical, I guess).

    I need to know the size of the chart, so I can properly develop his frame parent to be of the same width as the textFrame encompassing.

    I came up with a workaround that seems to be a terrible hack: to scale the chart down to a ridiculously small value (5%), how it is quite in the textFrame. At this point, I can get the limits, after multiplying by the scale factor to get the true limits, calculate a value true scale factor, then set limits correctly.

    Any suggestions on the correct way to deal with this problem? Can I use my hack, but then I have to visit my membership card Club Cool programming interface.

    Thanks in advance for all advice.

    Kind regards

    Chuck

    Hi Chuck!

    You can try using pageItem.resolve () and pageItem.reframe () or resize(). I'm sure that it works even if it is not made up.

    It's one of those things that I had intended to try for a long time already, but work continues to go the way...

  • My photos/videos disappeared behind the thumbnails...

    I have confirmed that the photos and the original videos do not seem be folders but when I click the thumbnails (which are shredded/pixelated) I get a message that the picture is not there. The videos have no thumbnails but also say they aren't there when you click on (but when I actually look in the folder that they seem to not be there). I think that this could be the result of when I started LR, I used the Quick/No.-thumbnail setting for the loading of my photos. But I do not know how to heal now. How can I get these items appear correctly in miniature form and when you click on the ads that are there?

    It seems that the structure of the complete files on your 3 TB is missing in Lightroom.

    You still have all these images and files on your ESL G-SAFE 3 TB of hard drive?

    suggest you move these images.
