  • Problems of the HP Pavilion dv4-1155se

I am having some problems with my HP Pavilion dv4-1155se sound.

The problem is the sound distorts when reading there.

The distortion is not always present but it distort once or twice every minute even when only applications that are running are "windows media player" and "windows sidebar".

I have not noticed any difference with the distortion when the processor is running at a higher load.

This laptop is only 3 weeks and I just installed google talk and google chrome.

    Help will be appreciated.

    My profile

    HP Pavilion dv4-1155se. / vista windows home premium 64-bit SP1 / AMD turion X 2 ultra @ 2.20 ghz/4 GB Ram / bought August 2008

What do you mean by 'distortion '. Is it crackling, getting completely, something else? The problem only occurs through the built-in speakers or is it so when you plug head phone? If it doesn't happen out of the speakers so it could be a problem of speaker and you will need to have serviced it. If this happens off helmet too then this is probably a problem with audio card. If it's a problem of sound card so I will try to reinstall the driver of the RECOVERY Manager (I think the driver for this model is conexant high definition audio driver). If THIS does not work, then it could be Wireless interference. Some DV4 do not have enough shielding between the Wi - Fi cards and audio and this causes reactions. Find the switch wireless on the laptop and turn it off. If you turn off the wireless and the distortion disappears all of a sudden, then you know that this is your problem. If you have a DV4 without enough armor and you are still in warranty, you sent him have this fixed.

  • After replacing my motherboard in my HP system, Windows will not be activated.

Activating a computer you already enabled...

I have a hp motherboard went blewy, when I reinstalled another motherboard with all the same stuff he told me that I had to activate windows, wouldn't let me open a session and can not get telephone service to make his case either, it's hp that came with it installed and worked upward until the MB went up in smoke... can you please help?

    Hello

The system is HP, and very probably the OS is OEM. As the motherboard has been replaced the operating system sees this as a new system. You will need to buy a new copy of Windows or contact HP for the media.

I just had my motherboard replaced on my Dell laptop. So, after installing the new motherboard, 'poof' no «dan» user profile I logged as administrator. All my User\dan data, including Outlook data is always available, but how do I get my dan user account without having to start over? That is to say. I can do a system restore to before the replacement motherboard without problem?

    Hi DannyRS,

Because you are replacing hardware on your computer, you will need to reinstall the operating system. Make sure that you all have a complete backup of your important data before you make these changes.

I'm looking to replace the mother board is dead. I thought I would check here before you buy it to ask you a few questions.

1 is - that the correct motherboard?

    2. I have problems with Vista, recognizing the new motherboard?

    3. all other components (CPU, RAM, wireless, card etc) works very well just plugged on the new motherboard?

    4. any tips or tricks for the swap I should or need to know, or that it will be simple enough?

    Thank you

Installation of a Narra3 motherboard which is not 'tattooed' with your system information will allow the factory OS to comtinue to exploit. The problem occurs when you use your HP recovery disks, the installation will fail. Yes, you can install Windows on a single disc of Windows and it works perfectly. The only problem is that you will not be able to install the HP 'value-added software' device that was originally installed on the computer.

  • How can I fix Windows XP OEM after replacing my motherboard computers?

Replaced mother on board, how can I do a repair (the Win XP OEM retail box) of Win XP installation?

original title: how to install Win xp oem retail repair?

You can try to boot from the installation CD and select the repair option.  License of the OEM version is however considered as not valid once you replace the motherboard, unless it is the same brand and model as the original, then I wish you good luck!

I hope this helps.  Good luck.

    This video explains well enough:

    YouTube, of course

I've done several times, and it's actually one of the easiest elements of laptop repair on most models. You can also have the Manual:

    Manual

The dv4 is slightly harder than most, because you have to remove the entire screen set in the place where the hinges connect to the main part of the laptop to get to the screen itself. If the video is not 100% reliable for you. It shows the method easier to simply remove the front plastic, which applies to most laptops, but not the dv4, but much of the video is useful.

  • With the help of my outside of the United States Pavilion dv4

I found very conflicting about whether or not I can use the AC adapter supplied with my Pavilion d4 to recharge my laptop outside the United States where power is 220 volts.  Many sources I found on the internet said, what you need is an adapter for the plug, but do not need anything to convert the power from 220 to 110.  HP FAQ say in one place "If you use a power adapter to work outside the United States, you can have problems charging the battery... "' Solution: H and Compaq power adapters are configured for World Wide specifications voltage and frequency." They don't require power conversion", but then in another section, he says:"laptop HP Pavilion and Compaq Presario computers sold the ship to the United States and Canada with adapters that are not designed for use with international power source. However, there are a variety of cards available in stores tha will allow the computer laptop adapters operate in different countries. "So which adapter should I... There are many different kinds, but when I try to know what kind I need... the answer always seems to be that I didn't really need one!  Help!  I would like to take my laptop with me... it's one of the main reasons I bought it. Thank you

jealous of your trip in Russia.

But yes, HP just to be careful.  But that the AC adapter is rated for 110-240 v, so it will be able to handle the power from the sale in Russia, make sure that you get this Type C plug adapter.

  • Satellite M30: Options after replacing the motherboard's missing energy saver

    Hi all

I just got my laptop back from the service center, and not surprisingly, they've pushed a device that existed!

I had my laptop (M30 1.7 GHz special edition) for the centre of repair for a defect and they informed me that the motherboard had to be replaced. I got the laptop back a couple of days and I immediately noticed the laptop is overheating, fan has not turned too often that he was setting the profile to "Full Power".

After hours of investigation, I noticed that a few options that existed in the Toshiba Power Saver no longer exists. So, in my opinion, that my laptop is running as optimized battery even if it is set to full power.

As I said, the fan is not put on too often, leading to the laptop is overheating. Then the fan used to be almost constantly on full power before the replacement of the motherboard.

Here's how the energy saver used to look like 'before' to take the laptop to the repair center:
    http://www.FoxPop.com/Imre/2006/toshibatecram3review/toshibapowersaver1.gif

And here is how the energy saver looks now, after the replacement of the motherboard:
    http://www.iXBT.com/portopc/Toshiba-Satellite/power.PNG
with maximum processing speed of the CPU to 3 instead of 4.

Note how I'm now lack the "CPU control method" option, and I cannot adjust the speed of treatment to more than level 3!

Cooling method does not appear the maximum performance for me either, because of the symptoms I mentioned above.

Any idea on why that might happen? Please note that I used the recovery CD system and everything back to factory settings, still no luck. I'm sick and tired of going back to their ugly repair center. If someone can point out the problem, I'll be very grateful.

P.S. I use version 7 of the energy saver, verion BIOS 1.4 (original)

    Thanks in advance.

    Hello

I wonder why you did not contact the service guy again.
After the repair everything it works fine and if the laptop is not working properly, you should immediately report it! I think it s a claim.

However, to my knowledge after the replacement of the motherboard that the micro code to the Board of Directors must be updated with the CPU could perform specific performance.
What CPU speed appears in the windows system?

I m not 100% sure if the microcode update missing is responsible for your problem, but I recommend asking to view ASP.

  • ProDesk 400 MT of G1: Problems after the replaced the motherboard

My motherboard was replaced under warranty and reinstalled OS. so needless to say I'll have to reinstall many things.  How to find the name of the network card?  There is no name that appears in the Manager of devices or any other place that I have watched.  On the inside of the computer, there are just a number: DC4A3E442418.  I need the driver.

I found one driver on driver recovery DVD.  This PC back together after a new motherboard and reinstalling the operating system is worse that my experience reformat a PC.

  • HP Pavilion G6 - 2148TX Power Up after replacing the fan problem

    Hello

After replacing the fan, I have a power issue with the laptop. Basically, the laptop will only fuel on the power cable disconnected to the motherboard. It is by mistake only after the fan has been replaced and everything got back together, I noticed that the battery was not charging.

I then opened the machine and reconnected the power cable to the motherboard and nothing - no power.

When connecting to the source of power with the battery in place, adjacent to the power supply lights in WHITE then remains ORANGE and will not. Seeing no other, no fan noise, nothing.

If I remove the battery, the adjacent to the power supply led in WHITE and white rest however not feed either. Same agin, no LED, no fan noise, nothing.

Now, I opened the machine upward and disconnected the power from the motherboard. Put it all back together and that the laptop starts as usual with the battery and it works very well. (Well until the battery runs in any case)

I'm looking for some advice on what the issue could be given my conclusions.

    Thanks in advance.

Well, I've now solved the problem. I bought the DC power cable that connects the motherboard to the socket on the laptop. $15 on eBay.

Connecting the supply cable to the Jack of the laptop, the 'white' and is LED stayed on. The battery was not installed at the time. With a deep breath, I pressed the power button expecting anything to happen, but when he lit a big smile appeared on my face.

    The laptop booted up normally.

I then install the battery and the battery indicator showed it to load. Everything is good and a son of 18 very happy. The fault was as expected according to my previous email. I hope this helps someone in the future, shame on HP response was off the mark in light of the original explanation and clarification post. But appreciated nonetheless.
