INI without Ini_New file handle

Hi all

First of all I apologize in advance if this question seems boat for many of you, but I have not found good examples on the INI files.

My problem is the following:

I have an already INI file that does not exist, I want to change a few settings. Not for I don't know how to create my handful of the INI file without using the Ini_New function.

Here are the codes of my:

GetProjectDir (dirName);

MakePathname (dirName, "config.ini", pathName);

iniText = Ini_New (0);

.................

.................

Ini_PutString (iniText, "part 1", "Name", NewValue);

Ini_WriteToFile (iniText, PathName);

where part 1 and name already existing.

When I code this execute, it overwrites the existing file INI already pour make a new one, with only

[part 1]

name = NewValue

Could you help me?

Thanks in advance to all.

Kind regards

Vincent

Assuming that automatic translation is just ( ) you want to change certain elements of a. INI file without losing the existing content. If this is true, you just read the contents of files with Ini_ReadFromFile immediately after the creation of the handle, so that each change made from the structure of the existing files. Save the. INI will produce a file including news, content updated the and old.

T = Ini_New (0);
Ini_ReadFromFile (T, "myfile.ini");

Ini_Putxxx (T, ...);

In_SaveToFile (T, "myfile.ini");

If Google translation does not you can translate your question into English by yourself, or post in the French jury

  • Engine.ReleaseSequenceFileEx (): modified sequence file handle is not released

    Hello

    Hello all

    I am facing a problem of leaking memory, basically, motor TestStand cache is not cleared. I have a file of main sequence calling a .NET dll. The dll has functions to remove the steps in the sequence "DestinationSequence" in "TXTModify.seq" and insert a new step in the same sequence after that. The operation is performed without flaw and I see that my "Modify.seq" TXT"file has been changed.

    After the transactions are made I am free the "TXTModify.seq" movie file handle by calling Engine.ReleaseSequenceFileEx () on the file of the modified sequence. But as soon as I close my TestStand sequence editor I get WARNING Debug (debug warning screenshot is attached). This waring should not seem like I already deleted my file handle of sequence of the TS engine cache by calling Engine.ReleaseSequenceFileEx ().

    Please help me get rid of this warning. Your generous help or suggestion will be appreciated.

    Thanks in advance.

    I'm enjoying what the leak memory has disappeared which is new good infact. On the other hand, I understand that your sequence is not changed. How do you check on that?

    You don't save any changes made to the file. If this is desired?

    You can check the behavior in a simple test:

    Create a new sequence file in the sequence editor, and then save it. Open (in parallel) for example, by default c#-User Interface installed with TestStand editor mode. Load the sequence file it.

    Now, it must be open in the sequence editor as well as in the user interface. In the user interface, add a new step of the action in the sequence. Please note the in the user interface, the file of the sequence is marked with a *-symbol which means there are unsaved changes. Switch to the sequence editor. You will see no change in the sequence.

    Switch to the user interface. Save the file in the sequence. The *-symbol will disappear.

    If you switch to the editor of sequence once again, you get will announce, that the movie file has been changed by an external process. You can now load changes in the sequence editor.

    Question: Is that what you see?

  • How do I script in DIAdem to include specific lines of code (similar to .ini in LabVIEW files) based on the computer/user?

    I took Basic training courses so DIAdem Advanced and have been scripting for several months.  I am interested in how to include specific lines of code based on the computer.  Told me it would be similar to .ini in LabVIEW files, although I've never used myself .ini files.

    Hi Karen,.

    What do you mean by "includes the lines of code?  Do you mean what happens when you run a command 'ScriptInclude()' or 'ScriptCmdAdd()' in a tiara VBScript?  Or do you mean that you want to run several lines as DIAdem begins, similar to 'ScriptStart() '?

    What do you mean by "computer-based?  Do you mean you want to implement different batch files on different computers, but you are still using the same file (named) command on each target computer?  Or do you mean that you want to implement the same command on all target computers file, but you want different commands to run this file based on the computer on which you are.  In the latter case, how do you determine computer on which you are on - MAC address, logged in user name, or what?

    How can I free up space on my C drive without dumping files I need to power my computer? I have currently 40,4 GB used and I don't know how or what is out there that I don't need? I have a backup of system restore that takes a lot of space, but Im saying that I can not remove it by a pop-up box that says access denied even though I have since transferred it on my external backup hard drive. Can someone please help? Thank you

    {You can remove C:\{folder-name with lots of letters and numbers like this: 2b4892ncf73d63db37db37}------(these files are temporary and have been created by installers)
    C:\Temp
    C:\Documents and Settings\\temp
    C:\Documents andSettings\Temp Settings\
    C:\Documents and Settings\\Local Settings\Temporary Internet Files\ (all the folders inside this folder)

    To remove manually restore points, you will need to login to safe mode and change the permissions in the Security tab of the restore point. However, I do not recommend this.

  • Upgrade to windows 10 on a new SSD without losing files

    Hello

    So I have here is my situation:

    -A got a new SSD, makes my old hard drive in an external.
    -Already installed on my new SSD of things, and my old HD has everything on my old computer.

    So I would like to know if I could:

    -install the windows 10 update on my old HD, without calling on my old computer.
    -install the new windows 10 (not the upgrade but after I installed on my old HD), on my new SSD without losing files and programs already on it.

    That's all, thank you

    I explained to him that you can store everything, including the image on the hard drive, then return it to the outer shell to start the imaging boot disk to apply the image to the SSD.

    However if you do not want to remove the SSD, it is possible using startup disk Macrium made on another PC to boot the PC with attached externally, save the image partition system and the OS on another partition (shrunk if necessary c using The Partition Wizard CD boot), transfer the data to the SSD and then apply the image to the SSD after the removal of its partition using Macrium or Partition Wizard.

  • string of text without spaces file reading

    who are my values of desired data. help mw with a code example

    There is no trim function in labwindows which is present in .net, wanting to make sure the cvi function sort of guide to good will be useful in my case as com port can be 18 or 13, which means that not a single character, so that the data in my file such as the ip address, com ports and and file name may not always be the same size so I read correctly in all the case if the IP = ip 192.168.0.8 address = 192.168.244.207 then, how I read it correctly without changing the code in labwindows. guide me in detail, thank you in advance.

    If your file has a title (for example "[General]") you could read it unsing the . Instrument of ini file, which you can find in \toolslib\toolbox\inifile.fp. Also, there is an example program on how to use the instrument.

    No name of the section being present, you can only read line by line and parse on the equal sign. A framework of code (to be developed and completed by you) could be the next. It uses the libraries of the CVI, there is also the possibility to achieve the same thing using bbanniere ANSI functions.

    file descriptor = OpenFile ("MyFile.txt", VAL_READ_ONLY, VAL_OPEN_AS_IS, VAL_ASCII);

    While ((r = ReadLine (fileHandle, tampon, 511))! = - 2) {}
    IDX = FindPattern (buffer, 0, -1, '=', 0, 0);
    If (idx > 0) {}
    Scan (buffer, '%s [xt61] %s', setting, value);
    }
    }
    CloseFile(f) (file descriptor);

    CAUTION: this is only a conceptual framework that handles only checking the line and splitting. IE: it reads the contents of the entire file, she is not a distinction between the parameter names and it just doesn't fit error checking, which is mandatory on the operations of e/s files.

    By looking at help on Scan function, you can understand the meaning of the format code I used (detailed description is here, the same information is present in the help installed on your PC).

  • Retrieve tdx without tdm file data

    Hello

    I have a tdx 3.7 GB containing important data file, but the file TOC is empty. All my other files are fine and I barely noticed it (although it is probably the second most important). I hope that it is of the tdx data recovery?

    I wondererd if I could recreate the TOC file, because I know EXACTLY what process has created it and so could repeat and copy and paste the new file. Anyone know if it works, or have any other ideas? (I ask here as idon't want to spend loads of time to do if it does not work).

    Thank you very much for your help, I could really do with this data,

    James

    Hi James,

    Thank you for your message.

    Unfortunately there is no way to recover the data raw tdx, if the CT file is lost. The tdx file is data binary raw efficiently and without the metadata contained in the file of the tdm, there is no way to determine it's significant. This means also that you cannot create the file TOC the tdx file alone.

    If you are able to recreate exactly the same tdm file initially used with the file tdx concerned, who would be the simplest solution in this scenario and should allow you to view the data.

    Hope this helps, let me know how you go.

  • The value of AllowMultipleInstances in the .ini on Build file

    I modified my exe application .ini file manually to add the AllowMultipleInstances = true directive, and it works fine. However, whenever I have reconstitute the applciation, I notice the .ini file is overwritten, and I have to manually add the directive. Is there a way to specify the directive in the build process to avoid the manual step?

    I'm under 8.20 LV.

    Thank you

    -Ted

    Hi Ted,

    The oldest version I have on hand to refer to is 8.5, but I think you should be able to specify a custom configuration file (ini) in the Advanced section of the property window of the Application (Build specification).  You will need to create one keep a version of the ini you want to shoot in the build - in your case, you simply need to add the modified file that you have in your project.  Note that this will override the ini which is usually automatically generated, so you need to update if you change the name of the exe file or something of this nature.

  • Hard disk space is down on its own without adding files or programs.

    original title: reduction of disk space

    My hard disk space is down without my add files or programs. I deleted the files, and after a while, I get the message that I'm out of space disk yet. I ran the windows disk cleaner, but the question is not what I need more disk space - is my drive space decreases continuously. For example, yesterday I got 4.89 GB free, today, I 4.80 - without adding anything to my computer. Any suggestion for what can happen and how to fix this?

    Another minor issue I have is that sometimes windows does not start correctly and I can't open any programs after implementation - in this case, I just restart and it works usually then. Don't know which is related to the question of good memory, but maybe it is?

    I am running Windows Vista Business SP2 on a Lenovo Thinkpad X 61.

    Thank you!

    Sounds like you have * something * create journals. Try a number of things, first off this program to see if you can find out where your space is being taken.

    http://www.Jam-software.com/treesize_free/

    Once you find out where to try and understand what is the cause. You can consider that you have some kind of virus/malware on your computer. Try to run Malwarebytes in safe mode and see what he says.
