ink failure error
I get an error of ink on my printer.
If I restart it will far temp. but he always comes back.
Can someone tell me what this means and how to solve it.

I have a HP PhotoSmart C7250 all-in-one that has the error:
Ink system failure
Ink system has failed. Cannot copy, receive faxes. or print. Refer to the printer documentation. Error 0xc18a0206. Stop the power, then on again.
I was not able to locate this error in any manual or on the website of HP. I found similar ones involving different printers and cartridges.
I tried several scenarios to powering off the printer, unplug the power and remove the cartridges, but nothing works. I noticed that the cartridges have dates that are in the past. Before you go out and buy a new set of ink cartridges, I would like to know if this is a possible solution to the problem. They are all new (just open the packaging) but more than one year after the date on them. I don't want to buy a complete set of cartridges, so I'll have to replace the printer (who knows what cartridges will take a new printer). After all, the cost of the cartridges, it would be a good part of the cost of a new unit.
A few months back, I did a collection of solution for this problem. He helped resolved much ink system failures up to that date. You can check it out.
Printer has stopped printing in black ink: get a gray tone or no impression. Get higher up the ink system failure error.
Reviewed the help pages and have installed new black ink cartridge, check the squares of all the cartridges, clean the print head menu Tools, removed the print head and cleaned manually, unplug the power supply etc. Considered the responses on the forum pages. A ran HP print and Scan doctor. I consider when buying a new print head or a new printer, any other suggestions? It's only black ink. (1) get a pan and put 1/2 "of very hot (not boiling) water in the bottom.
(2) remove all ink cartridges, then remove the print head Assembly.
(3) gently put the printhead nozzles down in water and soak for 5 minutes.
(4) remove the print head and gently dry the electrical contacts.
(5) replace the print head in the printer and then reinstall the ink cartridges.
After installing new ink cartridges provided with HP C7280 all in one ink system failure error 0xc18a0201 occurred. Cannot find reference to this anywhere error code. What is this and how can I fix it?
I found this solution for... C5180 ink system failure, and assumed/hoped the firmware was the same... it worked!
Press and hold the "left arrow" key
Press the "Setup" key and release both keys.
Display should say "enter special key Combo".
Press and release the OK"" button.
1. press and release the right arrow button until the display shows "Menu of theSystem Configuration'.
2. press and release the OK"" button.
3. the display should say "hardware failure status". If it isn't there already, arrow above for "Hardware failure status"
4. press and release the OK"" button.
5. display should say "hardware failure status: clear." Press OK to Erase".»
6. press and release the OK"" button. Message becomes " failure State material (breakdowns) resolved." Press Cancel to continue.
7. press and release the "CANCEL" button as many times as necessary, so that, either the "Welcome to Photosmart Express" screen appears, or, the " failureof the System ink " appears. DON'T TRY TO PRINT AT THIS STAGE.
8. using the power button, turn the power off and unplug the power cable from the back of the printer output and the wall.
9. wait 30 seconds for the power to get discharged and then plug the power cable into the wall outlet first, and then to the back of the printer
10. turn on the device. The printer may display message "USE POWER BUTTON CLOSING the PRINTER" followed by "Press OK TO CONTINUE". Press OK.
11. If the printer has already initialized, then go to the next step. If this is not the case, the printer will start the "ONE TIME INK PROCESS of INITIALIZATION". Allow this process to do and not to interrupt. Once the initialization is completed, the printer print a Diagnostic page.
12. to verify printer functionality print a PAGE of TEST car. If SELF TEST prints, then printer is ready for use.
NOTE: If the error is still there, or reoccurs replace the unit.
I bought a HP b110 printer 1 year and there are 8 days, so is no longer under warranty. Yesterday, when trying to print, I got the following message: "failure ink system - error 0xc19a0003. I have renewed all the ink cartridges (I only use original HP) to nothing does not...

As OEM HP is responsible for the good operation of the printer and their
drivers provided. Check with HP support, their documentation online and
drivers and ask in their forums.
Good luck, you need to update or reinstall the latest driver.

I tried to print a doc then do not use this printer for over a year. The ink system failure message appeared when I turned on the printer, so I replaced all the old cartridges with new ones. The message persists, and I can not print even a sample or Test page. My page to print remains in the queue. I tried to reset several times with the method of disposal of recommended power cord. Always with the same result, ink system failure error: 0xc18a0206. This machine is maybe just too old. After spending over $ 100.00 on new cartridges that would be very disappointing. I use a Sony Vaio under Windows 7 Home Premium laptop, but since I can't print a test or sample, according to me, that question must be in the printer. Regarding your question, here is the troubleshooting HP article.
Ink system failures are usually in the ink cartridge, the print head or in the printer. Since you have already replaced the ink cartridge, the problem lies in the print head or the printer.
The C7250 print head is permanent and cannot be replaced or cleaned outside the aircraft so there is not much we can do with working with her.
Go through the article and follow the steps in the order
1. remove the cartridges and install it
2. use the automatic printhead cleaning utility (sometimes you may need to run this several times)
3 reset the product
4 maintain the product
If the first three steps do not resolve the problem, there is not much to service other than the product. Return ticket if the first three steps help or do not help, maybe we can think outside of the box before going to the service, but we'll see if the standard general steps work.

THAT I HAD REPLACED A CARTRIDGE A MONTH AGO... HP brand AND NOW GET this MESSAGE.
I RE-SET, CLEANED ALL THE CARTRIDGES AND TALKED WITH HP ON THE PHONE 2 X. IT WORKS AGAIN FOR A SHORT PERIOD, THEN THE INK SYSTEM FAILURE ERROR APPEARS AGAIN.
HP said I need a new? It worked very well until this and always does this for awhile after you reset it, so can't understand

IS NOT THAT DEMAND THE DAY 'EXPERT' OF AID? HAVEN'T HEARD ANYTHING YET!This same error started on my printer and eventually it would power on and off constantly. Apparently some defective components were used in the construction of the logic board (see photo). My C6180 there were 3 defective capacitors (the Green cylinders - breathtaking top indicates failure) and a 4th from the same manufacturer (TEAPO - many web references unfavourable to this manufacturer). I bought 3 x 330uF 16V and 1 x 680uF 10v rated at 105 degrees Celsius (total about 60cents). On the logic board, the capacitors I replaced are labeled C613, C614, C660 and C662. If you are not comfortable replacing components yourself (or is not a soldering tool), you will need to find someone who will. The repair time should be less than 30 min - I did it in 25 minutes with only a solder pen. This also fixed the ink the printer was to have system failures. A similar fix may apply to other printers.

It seems that the ink inside the printer system is developing an electrical problem. Have you tried to clean the contacts on the ink cartridges and the printhead of the printer?

Welcome to the Forums of HP Support! I understand that tests your cam drive upward with an error when you run the UEFI. I'm happy to give you a helping hand with this.
I checked the ID failed you posted and it gave me the error code SMART Drive from 305. Now if your hard drive still works for you, I highly recommend to make a backup of all the data that is important to you as soon as possible. A SMART test drive is usually a predictor of drive failure. It could happen today or in a few months, but rather than to risk of losing everything, it is best to take precautions.

Once your data is safely backed up, you should probably look at a replacement hard drive.

What cartridge has been replaced? Make sure the printer is connected directly to the wall jack to make sure that the printer gets enough energy to function properly. Remove the cartridge and inspect the chute. Do you see differences between the two falls as a missing metal PIN or debris in one that is not in the chute on the other? Given that you have cleaned and inspected the cartridges already, I would then try reset the printer the following. No user settings are lost with this reset and they're trying to put the printer back into a known working state and clear the error message.
To do this reset:
1. take the cartridges from the printer and close the access door.
2. If the printer is turned on, unplug the power cord at the back of the printer. Then disconnect the power cord from the wall outlet
3. wait at least 30 seconds
4. connect the power cord to the wall outlet, and then again in the printer
5 wait for the machine to start. Once he recognizes that the cartridges are missing, place them in a moment.

Do a hard reset first.
The SMART drive test produces a prediction on the risk of hard drive failure, not a real failure.
A warning to SMART disk error can appear for various reasons such as having been jarred abruptly computer or hard drive, be subject to the higher than usual temperature.
Perform HP hard drive - wide test of the system BIOS Diagnostics shortly after switching on, tapping F10/F2
If there are any Smart player or hard failure error you see, Hard Drive is a failure and the solution is to replace the drive.
It would also be very wise to make sure that you back up all your files etc as soon as possible.
