Inside cold clone VM network shared in ESX4 drive

Hello

I converted Unix machine using CLONE COLD with Vmware Converter 4 autonomous process in shared network drive.

HOWTO import now this new virtual machine to the network shared in ESX4 drive?

Why did not you use converter to import comments directly into your environment of ESX4?  You can map a drive to your PC for the network share where the files, then use the browser data store and 'download file '.

Support can be added for the purpose of testing to make sure that you can test something on the network, or something to test the configuration of the network? It's hard to tell which network ports are connected and if the network and if there are multiple network cards on the server which one is connected.  It would be OK to add a command prompt from ipconfig/all and do pings or any other method via the GUI tool company to do the same.

You can get a guest via Mozilla cmd - click Open and select X:\i386\cmd.exe.

Or - just use a best handmade cold-clone - this has been discussed several times.

  • Cold Clone 4.03 converter - is no longer a connectivity - used to work

I have a Dell Server physical - 1950.  I used 4.03 Converter Enterprise (after adding the Perc driver) cold Clone is several times, even just two weeks ago.  It works without any problem.  Sometimes I clone this box for backup reasons because I'm not yet ready to move to VMware still.

In any case. Today using the same exact CD start at 4.03 Converter Enterprise I no longer get my DHCP address. The Converter CD says "no network connection available.  It seems that although I do not know how to test it on that physical server using the clone boot CD there is no connectivity.  I also tried to manually set the IP address, but it will not yet communicate.  At least I can not ping the address of another computer.  The converter program displays my Broadcom adapter to network with the exact model number.

If I boot Windows Server (which uses the same IP address), the server works fine.  If no outside don't switch issues etc.

NOTHING physical changed in my environment.  The only thing I did was use the Dell Open manage DVD to update server firmware. I was a little bit outdated good, but complete Dell update program fine.  I checked it and the firmware is up-to-date.  Also when I'm trying to clone, I use the boot CD get cold, then any software side server should not be a problem (well, I guess?).

    Thanks for the help.

    Strange question.

But maybe the driver on the boot CD is too old (related to the barrette microcode).

Have you tried to use an updated driver?

  • Results of Toshiba Connectivity Doctor or Vista network & sharing Center

I bought a 802.11n router to allow additional coverage of my Toshiba with a 802.11n Wireless WiFi Link 4965AGN give me and I never seemed to get the extra than I expected! I tried etc. Since a few weeks I got the laptop, and was beginning to lose patience and hope of ever is it solved, however I just noticed something that only confused me even further!

I always use the connection to a network/network and sharing centre within Vista OS under my control, "connection status" of my networks etc. & it has never showed that the network which should give me ' isn't a 'g '! But earlier I found and used the Toshiba connectivity doctor, and I found it is sometimes shows the connection as a 'n', but still the Vista "connect to a network & Vista network and sharing Center" show the same broadcasting as a 'g '!

What should I take as the most accurate, I have little additional coverage when I used to have a portable 'g' and a router 'g', but perhaps remotely an additional 2 meters which, depending on how wonderfully better is the "n" does not seem to live up to the expectation!

I based my results of the exact coverage, physician connectivity Toshiba or Vista network sharing Center, they can be opened at the same time and showing the different results? I do not understand why they say different things? Crikey Ca? s driving me crazy!

    Hi friend

already tried INTEL drivers? Theres a special broadcast of the site just about your wireless card, so if you please, visit this site and download the drivers from here:

    http://support.Intel.com/support/wireless/WLAN/4965AGN/

Maybe it s just a driver related problem. And another suggestion: use a single program to connect to wireless networks. Maybe they cause some internal conflicts in the system which turns off the feature n.

Oh, and Don t forget to check the properties of the device manager/network on some technical parameters. Perhaps, it must be explicitly enabled, also on your router.

  • Are published network shared variable write & read Atomic actions

    Hello

I have a very basic question about shered (published network) variable.

I think I know the answer already, but since I couldn't find in my documentation, I thought that it is more prudent to request...

Are reading and writing on a shared variable of stocks Atomic?

To be more precise: on my target real time I create an array with data (each element being the configuration item or a cluster containing name, value, and type) and when the table is finished I am this store in a published network shared variable.

On my host (Windows), I'm voting (in a loop) until the table contains at least 1 item, when this is true I'm parsing all the elements in the table.

Is there a chance that, reading of the shared variable, the table contains a subset of the original painting on RT target (i.e. the action of reading takes place while writing is still ongoing).

Or is the action of reading delayed until the write is completed? (i.e. both write and read actions are atomic even over the network)

I think the latter is true but not could find no evidence in the documentation.

    Kind regards

    SoC

    Hello Rob,

Yes, you can access the entire value, data type - you use both. For the table data type, the integer value is actually the full picture. So, Yes, you can see reading and writing as Atomic actions.

But, on the other hand, you can lose data if the RT system rewrites the variable before the host had the time to read. To avoid this, you can enable buffering for the variable. See the following links for more information:

    http://www.NI.com/white-paper/4679/en

    http://zone.NI.com/reference/en-XX/help/371361H-01/lvconcepts/buffering_data/

Finally, you can also activate a FIFO RT on your target RT if you need to send data through the variable in a deterministic section of the RT. See also, more information:

    http://zone.NI.com/reference/en-XX/help/370622H-01/lvrtconcepts/rt_projectvariable/

  • Passing an array via one RT FIFO network shared Variable, Code error-1950679034

This should be simple.  I'm just passing through a table via a single RT FIFO network shared Variable element.  And yet I get nothing.  How could - not working?  What is this error?

Well... it must have been some sort of thing calendar because adding an expectation of 100 ms fixed it straight up.

    Now don't feel ridiculous

Someone tried to link data from a network shared Variable to the query (running in a smartphone or Tablet) made with "treatment"? I know on the dashboard of data but I would like to know if West someone working with these two technologies. Thanks in advance for your answers, comments, suggestions, etc.

    Hello Bene

Apart from the dashboard of data there are other technologies that you can use for mobiel applications in LabVIEW

If you already use a shared Variable, then the easier and faster way to connect your mobile device and the PC on the same network and then simply use DataDashboard to read from your published variable.

You can also create your own thin clients or http Web pages and link to labview, send sms, share a front panel to distance between computers

Here is a link where you can read all about it

  • Windows Media Player Network Sharing Service missing in Windows Vista

  • Windows Media Player network sharing problems

    Hello

I operate a laptop Gateway using Windows 7. In recent weeks, I started receiving messages saying "Windows Media Player Network Sharing Configuration Application has stopped working and needs to be closed." After this, another message appears asking if I want to report the problem to Windows. This happens about once every 5 minutes or so, even when the Media Player does not work. If anyone has experienced this problem and is there a way to fix or disable this feature of sharing media player? Thank you for your time.

    Patrick Taylor

    Hello patrick1210,

Sorry for the delay in responding to your message.

In the views of others with the same question, it seems that maybe that's a problem with the file mf.dll.
Some have been able to replace the file.

    A few suggestions:
    (1) run SFC to see if you have corrupted system files.
    Click Start
Type: CMD, according to the results, right-click CMD
    Click on "Run as Administrator"
At the command prompt, type: sfc/scannow

This will check for any violation of the integrity and repair any damaged operating system files.

    Reboot your system.

    (2) register the dll from the command prompt. Go to a command prompt, right click and select 'run as administrator '.
    Regsvr32.exe mf.dll

If please reply back and let us know if this helps with your question.

  • Media Player network sharing service uses 40% of my processor

    Hello

I bought the HP P6270IN with win 7. everything is perfect, but... I have a problem... media player network sharing service uses 40% of my processor . I do not want to use WMP library. Please advice how to solve this problem.

    Parth

    Hi Parth,

Welcome to the Microsoft Answers site!

You use the Windows Media Player network sharing feature?

If you use this service while the service is required to operate to check computers or network devices with which you share your music. This service also index/updates of the library that is shared.

If you do not use this service and still is using the CPU you can change the type of start up manual (which is to be launched by the user).

    To disable the service temporarily

    1. opening the Services Control Panel, or type services.msc into the start menu search/run box.

    2. double-click on Windows Media Player Network Sharing Service, and then change the service to Manualstartup.

This has now disabled temporarily the service unless you manually start the service. You can restart the computer and check if the service has been stopped and the CPU usage was down.

    Hope this information is useful.
