  • How to install all the drivers that I need for my dell inspiron 1525 when I can't get on the internet?

I have a dell inspiron 1525 with windows xp sp 2 on it and I had to wipe and reinstall xp on it b/c I got the BSOD. Now, I can not configure a network connection, or get all the drivers that I need and I can't go on the internet. Is it possible to use another computer to get the drivers I need for this? Do you need a specific driver to even set up a network connection?

    AngelaGraves,

The drivers you need are on your disk drivers that came with your computer.

Here's the order of installation of the drivers. How to download and install drivers in the correct order

If you do not have the drivers disk, you can download the drivers from Dell drivers & downloads, then copy on a USB key or drive and install from there.

I have a dell Inspiron 1525.  It's windows vista currently.  I have the main account and the user account.  I made a password reset disk, but it says that an error occurs whenever I'm trying to reset the password of the main account.  I don't know what to do to reset the password to get into my computer.

    Hello

You must make a password reset disk until you have forgotten your password, not later.

  • Turn off the tap to click on Dell Inspiron 1525 with Windows Vista

Can someone tell me how to disable "tap to click" on the touchpad of my laptop?

I have a Dell Inspiron 1525, running Windows Vista.  It's the standard touchpad I mind, it has not been upgraded.

Other forums have suggested to go to the control panel > hardware and sound > mouse, but once I'm there, I only "buttons," "Pointers," "Pointer Options" and "hardware".  There is no option to disable "Tap to click" referred to one of them.

I've updated all the drivers - Windows tells me I have the latest version, if this doesn't fix the problem.

My hands are too big to type without hitting the touchpad!  So frustrating.  I accidentally moved my slider three times during the composition of this post.  Someone help me please!  That's four times now.

    I thought about it!

Under computer > C: > drivers > entry > R176423, I ran DPInst.  He installed the Dell Touchpad option in my taskbar to bottom left.  After the reboot, I was able to open a more in-depth version of my touchpad, where I could uncheck "Tap to click".  _ Yes!

Thanks for all your help, man.  I really appreciate it.  It's really a positive manifestation of the human condition when the volunteers their expertise selflessly to help others.  Keep up the good work, and I hope that this thread will stay up to help someone else in the future.

I have an inspiron 1525 with Vista installed on it.  If I leave my computer be for about 30 minutes then it freezes.  Today, I've been using Microsoft Word and again once it froze while I was in the middle of a project.  I used a registry cleaner from the Microsoft One Care and the problem still persists.  I am currently in safe mode now and it still froze, but I'll let it be by itself and see if it freezes or not.  I don't know what I have to do.  Is - it there anyway anyone can help me out here and point me in the right direction?

    Hello Mike,.

As a general rule, when you run a computer in Mode safe the suspect will be software or a driver that is used for a specific part of the material. Have you tried a boot clean and troubleshooting session with your machine to determine the program or driver that could be the cause of the problem? Instructions are below that describes this process. Let us know if that helps.

  • Inspiron 1525 lost the imagery option in Device Manager / no webcam

Hi my Dell inspiron 1525 - integrated webcam does not work. Looked at all the options and in the Panel lacks the imagery option - how can this option back to reload the driver?

    Thanks in advance.

You don't need to re - install the driver

Most often when a device does not work, it is because the driver has been corrupted.  Re-install a new copy should help

  • My Inspiron 1525 dell fan is too loud

The fan on my laptop Inspiron 1525 Dell is strong enough, kind of top of slope.  Is there a way to make it quieter?  I've seen on a youtube video that someone installed a connector to splice one of the wires going to the fan; He took off the back to do this.

    Thank you.
    Patrick Every

If the fan is noisy on a 1525 chances are that it runs hot.  I want to download cpu - z and gpu - z (both free) to see what temo he turns to.

You can also carefully blow out the ventilation/heating the compressed air hose.

A final option is to obtain and use a cooling block.  My gut says that it runs hot.

I haven't used the computer since I was in year 9 and I'm now concluded year 12 in February 2013 so it's been about 2 years that I modified it used. Is this bad? As it was to sit for so long, you could try to re-seasting all cards, connections, etc.

There could be condensation, dust, etc in there.

    First turn off the POWER.

You can also borrow and use a Microsoft Vista DVD, which contains the files for the different editions of Vista (Home Basic, Home Premium, Business and Ultimate) must be installed. The product key on your computer / Laptop box determines what Edition is installed.

Other manufacturers recovery DVDs are should not be used for this purpose.

And you need to know the version of 'bit' for Vista, as 32-bit and 64-bit editions come on different DVDs

Here's how to do a clean install of Vista using a DVD of Vista from Microsoft:

"How to do a clean install and configure with a full Version of Vista '

And once the operating system is installed, go to your computer manufacturer's website and get the latest drivers for your particular model or laptop computer.

And phone Activation may be necessary when you use the above installation method.

Blue "C0000142 dll initiallization failed" error message - windows vista on the computer laptop inspiron 1525 Dell.  I tried all system tools and I get nothing and the only point of system restore in the restore SP1 update. not the best at the command line and even worse to system32 please help I need the laptop in return

    Hello

    1. when exactly you get this error message?

2 are you able to boot into the office after getting this error on blue screen?

    3. don't you make changes to the computer until the problem occurred?

I suggest you to follow the steps below and check if it helps.

Method 1: Try to start your system in safe mode and check if the same problem occurs.

    http://Windows.Microsoft.com/en-us/Windows-Vista/start-your-computer-in-safe-mode

Method 2 : If the question does not exist in Mode safe mode then try to put your computer in a clean boot state.

By setting your boot system minimum state helps determine if third-party applications or startup items are causing the problem.

How to troubleshoot a problem by performing a clean boot in Windows Vista or Windows 7:
    http://support.Microsoft.com/kb/929135

Note: After the boot minimum troubleshooting step, follow step 7 in the link provided to return the computer to a Normal startup mode.

Method 3: If the problem persists, then try to run the Startup Repair tool.

Startup Repair is a Windows Vista recovery tool that can fix certain problems, such as system files missing or damaged that may prevent Windows from starting correctly. When you run the Startup Repair, it scans your computer for the problem and then tries to fix it so that your computer can start correctly.
