Inspiron 1545 - restore settings factory

Hello world

I'm trying to restore my laptop to its factory settings, but when I'm on the menu ' Advanced boot Options / repair your computer ", the Dell Factory Image Restore option is not there (weird...). Any suggestions would be most welcome.

My laptop using win 7 x 64

Thanks for your help

I found the restore factory image. Menu > dell > dell software & utilities > Dell, Start Guide. It says dell datasafe local upward. Select U click here link continued authorization... It will load. Looks like he wants to upgrade. Tap on restore (in blue on the left). There, it says restore your entire system and so on. UNTIL IT CLICKS. Select restart > he will walk u through 'restore my computer' I don't know why they make it so hard... took me forever to find! I hope it helped: 0)... it works

  • Qosmio G20 - restore settings factory

    Hello

Basically I have a Qosmio G20 and here is a brief history of the problem: -.

    (1) Started to get a cooling system warning, after some time the computer turns off.
    (2) stupidly, I ignored the warning system cooling and after a few weeks the computer would start is no longer.
    (3) computer is out of warranty so it took PC World UK for diagnosis.
    (4) PC World says have found 7 viruses (which they said they removed) and said there may be a hardware failure, but they couldn't be certain until they had restored the factory settings for the computer to work properly.

The problem with restoring the factory settings, this is even though I know that the hard drive is not actually deleted, I'm worried that he would make a few programs and inaccessible files.

All I want to do is start the Qosmio once while I can:-

    (A) launch Mozilla Firefox and export all my favorites so that I can then load into my new laptop
    (B) export all my Outlook Express emails and loading them in the new laptop.

With (A) above, I think the only way I can get bookmarks from Mozilla is to launch the program and then use the export option, it doesn't seem to be a way I can just scan hard drives for bookmarks setting the file and back to the top. And as for B), I did a scan of the hard drive and I found the 'dbx' Outlook Express files but when I imported in the new laptop there are a considerable number of missing emails.

    So my questions are:-

    (1) if I restore to factory settings, does this mean that Firefox and Outlook Express would more appear in my programs?
    (2) if not, can start the computer using a Windows CD, and then launch Firefox and Outlook Express directly from the hard drive?
    (3) or, if I plug the hard drive on another computer, you know the exact files (and places) so that I can get all my emails and settings of Firefox?

    Any advice would be appreciated!

(> A) launch Mozilla Firefox and export all my favorites so that I can then load into my new laptop

This isn't really a problem. Bookmarks could be saved on external USB flash.
You can find the bookmarks in your profile in
    c:\Documents and Settings\ [your user name] \Application Data\Mozilla\Firefox\Profiles
There should be a folder called bookmarkbackups.
You will find the latest bookmarks from html files.

Here you can find the FAQ about Firefox. Check * better

(> B) export all my Outlook Express emails and loading them in the new laptop.
You can save the mails too.

  • Questions of Compaq Presario CQ60 with restore settings factory, sticked on a blue screen (BSOD, no)

Hello, I have to get my usual laptop fixed, so I decided to get out of my Presario CQ60, which I have not used in 4-5 years. The operating system is Windows Vista Basic and I want to perform a restore factory settings (I don't mind losing the data on it) and upgrade to Windows 7 Home Premium. So far I tried to do a restore to factory settings by pressing F11 several times to start, and I get to a screen that says "Windows loading files", which leads to a black screen. After what seems like a long time, a blue screen appears where I have control of my cursor (not the Blue Screen of Death) and nothing has changed since. I will update with any changes, because things seem to happen after letting it go for a while, but for now any suggestions on what to do? Let me know if I've left out any information. Thank you!

    Hello

We can not help you with this problem of factory settings.

Press F11 at STARTUP is the method that HP plans to use.

    http://h10025.www1.HP.com/ewfrf/wc/document?cc=us&LC=en&DLC=en&docName=c00809678#n405

    1. Turn off the computer if it is not already turned off.
    2. Disconnect any external devices such as printers, USB drives and memory cards.
    3. Turn on the computer and immediately press the F11 key several times , about once a second, until the Recovery Manager opens.
    4. In the Recovery Manager welcome screen, click Next .
    5. On the Microsoft System Restore screen, select No , and then click Next .
    6. On the System Recovery screen, select Yes , and then click Next to continue the recovery process.

    etc.

And that is the recovery Partition and the process which they installed during the manufacturing process, not Microsoft HP

You will need to contact HP or ask questions in the forums to Support HP about this problem.

And I don't think that it will be suitable for the upgrade to Windows 7 Home Premium as being Vista Basic, the material it will not suitable or sufficient to run Windows 7 properly and I have no idea if HP even wrote Windows 7 drivers for it.

Before you buy Windows 7 after Vista fixed:

Go to your computer / computer laptop manufacturer Web site and see if Windows 7 drivers are available for your make and model computer / laptop.

If this is not available, Windows 7 will not properly work for you.

  • the last IOS installation froze my iphone 6 and iTunes says that it needs to be restored to factory settings.

Install the last IOS froze my iphone 6. iTunes shows it must have installed at the factory. How can I back up all my data?

You will get the option to "update" only when force you it into recovery mode. you might get lucky. If you cannot update or restore your iPhone, iPad, or iPod touch - Apple Support

If she needs a complete restoration to factory settings then get what you can from iCloud and all other internet accounts that you use.

Synchronize what you can save on your computer also.

You can re - download apps etc for free, but if you do not have a return to the top, then you can only look at the expensive data recovery options

If you do not have to restore as new then make sure to run iCloud back ups or regularly back up on iTunes before you do updates in the future.

  • A person of Apple told me to restore from factory settings

I have problems with my ipod touch. A very nice lady from Apple called me and told me to save it on my computer, and then restore the factory settings. All my itunes purchases are still there, but my 800 songs from CDs, etc. have disappeared. She said that she could not me more help. Is this normal? The songs are stored anywhere? How can I get to them? Please enter slowly because I am very untechy.

Where these 800 songs came first place? They should have come from a library, iTunes if you do not have access to the library, it was sync would be of?

  • I can well picked up a carrier locked iPhone 5 that has been restored to factory settings?

    Hello

I hope to trade in my old iPhone 5 (I currently use a 5s) either finance or credit of the store to an iPhone SE.

However, the situation with my iPhone 5 is complicated.

    • It was bought by my father's business (I used to work there).
    • It is carrier locked to Vodafone (UK network), but I currently reside in Chicago.
    • When I got my 5s I'm from carrier, but kept my old number - so I did not have a Vodafone SIM.
    • My brother used my 5 for awhile. He gave me back restored to factory settings.
    • I can not set up because I do not have a Vodafone SIM.

In these circumstances, may I take it to an Apple Store to trade it?

Thanks a lot for your help.

Yes - not sure how much you can get for it

But if you can prove that you are the legal owner of the phone (as opposed to the Affairs of your dad) so you should be clear

You also mention that your brother has used - which was on Vodafone

    Hello

Just bought a used computer (Equium A200-196) and want to restore it back to factory settings. Am a little nervous to do it without the restore disks.

    * Is it possible to get a restore CD from the restore settings already on the computer *, just in case it does not work!

Or should I just bite the bullet and go?
Any help or advice would be greatly appreciated.

    Hello

Well, if the Toshiba recovery disc creator is preinstalled on your laptop and the HARD drive recovery image files are available on the second partition, then you will be able to create the Toshiba recover disc.
In addition, you can also try to recover the laptop using the recovery of HARD drive option.

    For more information, check this:

If the two would not work, then you can order this disk to recover from here:
