    Hello

My Inspiron 15 5000 came with Dell Webcam Central preinstalled as it should. I checked my Dell downloads, but it is not there on the list of downloadable software.

Anyone know how can I get Webcam Central?

    Thank you.

    Hi mm132,

If you have recently purchased the system and assuming it came with windows 10. The camera in the startmenu application is a substitute for the central webcam, except if specified in the order. If the Native windows application does not all the functions of the Central webcam, it's the native application in windows 10

  • Reference Dell Webcam Central and Windows XP (also Windows 7)

For all the frustrated Dell customers out there who bought Dell computers delivered with Dell Webcam Central, only to have the application stops working with the built-in webcam ("Please plug in a supported webcam"), here is the link to a recent version of the Dell Webcam Central application:

It is version 1.40.05.  This is the full installation, not an upgrade and includes the "Live!" Cam Avatar Creator software.  I have installed this package on my Inspiron 1012 running Windows XP Home Edition, and it works perfectly.  It is also the same version that shipped with my Studio 1558 running under Windows 7 64-bit.

I'm not absolutely sure, but I think that the problem is caused when Windows Automatic Updates installs a new integrated version of the webcam driver (this is a Microsoft driver).  The old version of Webcam Central (such as 1.06 or earlier version) does not recognize the updated driver level.

Don't bother download the 'DellWebcamSW' that Support Dell continues to try to direct me to via "tinyurl.com" (http://ftp.us.dell.com/app/DellWebcamSW.exe) - it is a version older that that delivered with my Inspiron 1012 and therefore will not even install.

Dell really needs to pull together their support, at least when it comes to software.  They had download me Dell Webcam Central (at least three or four times), they sent me a CD to install the Dell Webcam Central, they even sent me a new hard drive previously imaged.  Downloads and CD always contains the same version that came bundled with my 1012, or even older, even though I told them I needed a newer version, and the new hard drive do not even have the application installed (I sent the new rear drive and kept my old drive).

And don't bother looking on the site drivers and downloads (whether through the service tag or computer model).  He is not here, for my Inspiron 1012 or my Studio 1558, or for any other model of computer, I looked.  (The Inspiron 1012 list includes even not all the same drivers that requires my computer.)

  • 1545 Dell Webcam Central no audio Solution

I have a Dell 1545 running with Vista 64 and Dell Webcam Central for the web cam. I experienced a lot of problems with the web cam. The web cam would not work & then wouldn not audio. I would like to record a video & there is no sound. My microphone does not work in the voice, or the cat. If everyone knows this problem... I found a solution that worked for me. The problem is that Dell Webcam Central installs it's own microphone settings on your portable computer called something like Webcam Dell Live!. (the exact name I'm not sure because I removed from my system... but if you follow these steps you will find. Look for something with Live! in the title under MIC) this is not built into the microphone in my laptop, & perhaps not yours. You must change the settings of your computer system & Dell Webcam Central. Go to start > Control Panel > sound > recording... on mine, there is an option for Microphone "High Definition Audio Device"... which is built into the microphone. You who want your default & apply. Then open Webcam Central Dell & option go to the "video recording". In the middle of this is a button orange with a video camera icon. Next to it on the same button is a little arrow pointing down... Click on that. Under micro... Select Microphone "High Definition Audio Device" like the sound option in the Panel. I did & it's completely fixed. I can use my built in mic in the audio/video chat & record videos with sound.

I hope this can help if anyone has this problem!

    I have dell inspiron 1545, 32 Windows 8

  • 'Not supported webcam' reference Dell Webcam Central?

    Hello

I have a Dell Inspiron M5030. I don't remember how long I got it, but I think it's less than a year. I had problems with my webcam. I tried to cam with my friend, but he said that I didn't have a webcam (when I really one). Then I open Dell Webcam Central and he said that it has not detected webcam and I had to plug a. I uninstalled the program and reinstalled it but nothing happened. I tried to look online, but I found results for the other models of Dell. Can someone help me out here? I'd be happy. Thank you in advance.

  • Inspiron 15R (N5110, early 2011)

I am very disappointed by the site of Dell support for this model. It shows 2 different AMD driver downloads...

AMD ATI Mobility Radeon HD 7450/7650

    &

    ATI Mobility Radeon HD 7570M

Problem is this laptop is not (and was not always an option to have) any of these chipsets. Generic AMD drivers (Omega 14.12) do not work properly. I tried to download the driver of HD 6470 M by searching from Dell website, but the pilot shows that only being compatible for Vostro Notebook 3555 and Inspiron M5110. When I installed this driver, it's pretend complete installation but then nothing (Catalyst Control Center was not available after reboot and still a yellow! in Device Manager)

    Any ideas?

Its an AMD 6470 M and Dell have Windows 7 and 8.0 drivers here:

  • "Stop 0x000000A5 the BIOS of the system is not fully ACPI-compatible every time as the installation of a new windows 7 integral over Inspiron 15R N5110.

    Hello

I have installed Windows 7 ultimate 64 bit on many brands of laptops, but when I installed it on Inspiron 15R N5110, (core i5 and 4GBRAM). I faced an error at startup of windows 7 after completing the installation.
NOTE: When the installation finished and restarted my computer, this window shown to me.

Two options from the two options above I chose, I found myself with the blue screen:

Error blue screen said something these ' BIOS in this system is not fully ACPI-compatible. Contact your system provider for an updated BIOS I don't know what that means and I don't know where is the culprit. I wish I could capture this error screen. However, it is impossible to do because I wasn't the Windows environment.

Even if the error related to BIOS necessary for the update, so how could I update as long as windows has not begun.

Is there something that needs to be configured in the BIOS before installing Windows 7 on Dell laptops.
I'm quite surprised that the previous system was windows 7, but it was Home Premium.

The strangest thing is when I tried to start to repair the disk and even disk instillation of Windows to resolve startup problems, I found that this startup repair couldn't fix problems.

When I tried to do these steps:

    1. Insert your Windows XP CD into the CD-ROM or DVD-ROM drive, and then restart your computer from the CD.

Note Some computers may require you change basic input/output system (BIOS) settings before you can start the computer from a CD-ROM. For more information about changing the BIOS, see your computer documentation.
    2. When the "Welcome" screen appears, press R to start the Recovery Console.
    3. If your computer is configured to dual-boot or multiple boot, select the appropriate installation of Windows XP.
    4. When you are prompted to do so, type the administrator password and press ENTER.
Note By default, the administrator password is blank in Windows XP Home Edition.
    5. By default, Hiberfil.sys is usually located in the directory root (C:\). At the command prompt, type del hiberfil.sys and then press ENTER.
    6. Restart the computer.
When I arrived at "system recovery options, I saw that my system is listed, then I chose then, but I found myself with this ' this"system recovery options"version is not compatible with the version of windows that you are trying to fix." Try to use a different compatible with this version of windows recovery disk, even if I'm sure only that the same disk to install windows I have installed since.

NOTE: I do not add RAM or other devices. There is a windows 7 Home premium and I just re installed a windows 7 ultimate 64-bit. I don't really know what the previous windows version 7 is 32 or 64 bit.
I checked the dell forum and I found ' your computer goto your BIOS F2

That goto advance Select ATA to instead of AHCPI save the setting, and then try to restart your Windows 7

    hope it will work. »

But he did not AHCPI, but I found AHCI and let ATA instead of AHCI, but no difference that happened.

    Hello

Check the steps suggested by LoneWolf1983 from the link below and see if it helps.

    http://answers.Microsoft.com/en-us/Windows/Forum/Windows_7-hardware/stop-BIOS-not-fully-ACPI-compliant/25210db0-5491-4fc8-99c2-ec0361dd8388

Warning: Be careful when you change the BIOS settings. The BIOS interface is designed for advanced users, and it is possible to change a setting that can prevent your computer from starting properly. BIOS update should be made only if necessary (to solve a compatibility problem, for example). It can be a complicated process, and if an error occurs, your computer could be rendered inoperative. Be sure to observe the instructions of the manufacturer.

    Thank you very much

I checked this thread, and I found this solves the problem

I have changed the serial port in the BIOS for 2F8/IRQ3 and I have not had a blue screen since... fingers crossed, it's her!

But as you know that no matter what BIOS are different from others.

Thus, I have not found any serial port in the BIOS to be replaced by 2F8/IRQ3

NOTE: My problem is when you install a new version of Windows.

In addition, every time a new windows installation 7 and facing the Blue error screen, I started to Macrium Rescue CD and clicked "fix windows startup", and then when restart my windows, I was not facing the the Blue error screen. If windows starts successfully.

If the blue screen error was tied to the BIOS, the Refelct Macrium rescue CD wouldn't no matter what (not know this problem)

  • Reference Dell Webcam Central & Windows 7 (Version Windows 7 of the Dell Webcam Central program)

In other words, could someone please post a link to the Dell Webcam Central GENUINE for Windows 7 software, wherever it is on the website of drivers Dell?

I do not mean some 3rd hokey, rate of Vista (or earlier) version of the program, but rather the version of OEM Windows 7 32-bit true Creative Labs developed specifically for Dell laptops and netbooks (and please don't refer me to the CD 'Application' that came with the computer, because it is not found).

Dell sells laptops with the built-in Webcam Creative Labs and the Windows 7 operating system for a few months now, and I know they would not have understood the old Vista (or even XP) drivers for use with its newest operating system.

I looked high & low and read about all the posts I can get my eyeballs on, but everyone seems to advise loading of old, obsolete Vista or XP drivers rather than the new Windows 7 ones, which were obviously having your computer, because it had Windows 7 top from departure (and it's not the scenario of "upgrade after the fact" or the other).

So just a link, please, to Creative Labs Webcam Central program for Windows 7 Dell OEM.

It may be that big a deal...

P.S. I also need the tuner drivers TV Hauppauge of Windows 7 (the bunch of them) for a Mini Inspiron; they must be there somewhere, as well.

I obviously prefer the OEM Dell version, but I DO NOT want (and not use) the older versions of Vista or XP, which seem to be available in all directions on this site; I want only the things real 'fact-for-Windows 7'

    Thank you.

There is no Dell Webcam Central for Win7.

When you check on the Dell / Win7 page under software compatibility, it is not there. For not to mention it is just not going to work. The webcam is fine, the software is not. Until Creative Labs cough one up. Can display on the page then Dell drivers & downloads.

Regarding your comment about the drivers, Dell Webcam Central is an application, not a pilot. The webcam has native driver support in Windows and works on a number of machines (mine is a Latitude E6400 and a Precision M6400, Win7 64 bit for both). The issue is not the webcam itself... it's that Creative Labs has not yet re - build the application for Windows 7.

For "True is for Windows 7 tips, Dell is not just the drivers or applications." They get the provider of OEM apps / hardware, so until that companies should meet and create it, it isn't there.

  • Dell Webcam Central settings

Hello, I have a Dell Inspiron N1150 with a built-in webcam. When I run the Dell Webcam Central program, the webcam works fine and shows the video and audio. However, after update today to version 2.01.18 tab 'Settings' in Capture Mode displays all the options like gray and I can't click on any one of them to change the settings of the camera. The drop-down window flicker control is clickable, but none of these options seem to change the image of the camera. In addition, the video effects tab does not work: thumbnails occasional sparkle but none of these options can be clicked or the scroll bars can be used.

All drivers are updated with audio and video appear to work, but I can't change the appearance of the image in the settings.

    Hi Binjelli,

May I know where did you updated the software of webcam?

Uninstall and reinstall the software of the webcam to the computer.

  • How can I fix my Dell Webcam Central to say "no supported webcam not connected"?

I'm not sure how it happened exactly, but one day, all of a sudden, my webcam does not work! I've never had this problem before considering that I took of many photos & videos on this subject. I have a Dell Vostro laptop and when I got it, the Dell Webcam Central was already installed and integrated with the PC and I've used it since then. But one day, when I tried to open the webcam, it wouldn't let me take pictures or record video. It's just a black screen and at the bottom it says "no supported webcam not connected."

I don't know what the problem is and I really need help!
    Thank you! :)

Check the Dell website to see if there are any software update of the devices on your computer.

In Device Manager, under any category you saw an ad for Dell webcam?
If this isn't the case, I suggest that contact Dell because the material has been incorporated into the laptop.

    I hope this helps.

    Hello

More frequently (almost daily now), my Inspiron 15R N5110 will freeze and, sometimes, to get a blue screen and shuts down completely. Windows 7 is up to date. BIOS not updated (5 years now, I think).

Should I update the BIOS to A11 (a final)?

    Any concerns with Win-7?

Any concern with AVG (virus protection)?

No idea or your experience wil appreciated,.

    Marcel

    PCIMPOTS,

You can update the bios of the computer. You can consider the formatting and installing Windows 7 on the system. Do a new Installation of Windows will more than likely fix the problem.
