Inspiron 15R N5110 says he does not charge, but it is

Since the last update of Windows (running Windows 10) my laptop says that it does not charge. I used it on a regular basis and the battery power remains just exactly where it is. When I unplug and use it, it drains as it normally would, and when I plug in, it keeps just some percentage that down.

Do I need a new battery or a power adapter? Help please

None of the suggestions helped. I had to take my laptop to my dad and he opened the "Dell battery meter" to right click on the battery in the taskbar. There is a setting inside, which gives you the ability to disable the loading of the battery. He checked somehow. I don't understand why this is even an option, so weird. I unchecked, restarted the computer, and now he is in charge.

Also, until I found the solution, BIOS was not detect a power adapter. After you apply the fix, he acknowledged again.

  • My battery does not charge, but he says it is.

Hello. I have not used my laptop in about 3 weeks and I decided to use it today. I knew it would be dead so I plugged it. But, so far, two hours later, he still does load at all. He always says "0% available (plugged in, load)" and the icon indicates that the load, but it has not loaded yet.

When I restart my computer, it shows the battery charge for about 15 seconds, then goes back to the other icon. And when I remove the battery and reinsert it, it does the same thing.

Is anyway to fix this? I'd hate to pay $49 to chat with someone from Windows, if the solution is simple. I see a lot of questions that are similar to mine, but they all say "plugged in, not charging" Mine does not load, but it is not.

Thanks in advance for any help.

  • Battery does not charge, but by Satellite Pro L510 is running in battery mode

Hi, I had a few odd battery problems these days:

I had charged my laptop completely to 100% and then used it on the train on my way home (in Windows 7 64-bit), how I got it to about 70%, shut down normally, put it in my bag and left there until I got home. When I got home, I tried to turn it on but it lights and battery light orange blinking indicating that there can be no charge. I plugged it in and it worked as usual (Linux), so don't think too hard on this subject.

Later I realized that the battery was still the load after longer that it should have been and running the acpi + (linux) command told me has the battery + charge, 0%, charge at the zero rate - will never fully charge. + I disconnected to see if it worked, and the battery lasted as usual, although always it's 0% charge rate.

I started in Windows 7, and the battery reported that it was at 68%, so I assumed it was back to normal. A while later, I noticed that he was still 68%, despite having connected for a while - at least an hour. Start on linux, acpi showed data battery normal search, except that it was 'blocked' to 68%.

I disconnected the laptop and run it as usual, and it ran until he cut; I guess with him out of power. I plugged it back in and it is 'charge' again, even if it is still 0% battery and "load at the zero rate".

Before all this happened, the battery works well - apparently to 94% of its capacity. It would be modified for a few hours unplugged play movies or games.

Summary: PC laptop battery suddenly going to works "attributed to the zero rate" and 0% complete; battery still seems to work very well, seems fresh and portable no power plugged in but the battery is not 'charging' or have his percentage of charge remaining increase.

Someone at - it ideas? I have yet to try a BIOS update, but it seems that there is one available, so I will give that a try. I feel that the problem is not the battery as the battery controller, so I don't want to invest in a new battery without knowing it, the problem will be solved.

    Thank you!

    Hello

I think you should try upgrading the BIOS
BIOS default value, and then try to charge the battery again.

Well, it of really difficult to tell if the battery or the mobo may be affected
In my opinion, the battery must be tested without a doubt

Laptop model: HP Pavilion dv4 Notebook PC
    OS: Windows 7 Home Premium x 64
    CPU: Intel (r) Core i5 - 3210M @ 2.50 GHz (4 processors)
    RAM: 8192 MB RAM (4096 MB x 2) DDR3

Audio: IDT High Definition Audio 16-bit
    HARD drive: 750 GB SAMSUNG Spinpoint M8 ST750LM022 HN-M750MBB

I own a laptop PC hp Pavilion dv4 laptop and this morning there was a sudden battery problem, I was playing Dota 2 and the Steam interface told me that the battery percentage was 12% (7 minutes from the end) then I moved and grabbed the chager, plugged into the outlet and plugged the charger in laptop a few seconds later the laptop turns off suddenly and won't restart, even if the charger is plugged there no light came from the load indicator.

A few minutes later do research for similar problems, there was a solution to remove the battery and the charger then press and hold power for 30 seconds and 3-5 minutes then return the battery but it did nothing.

After with some research, the indicator load on all of a sudden and when I start the laptop it was on 12 percent and billed not (there is no indicator that the charger is plugged) and turns off suddenly without warning.

Later, with a bit of panic and thought, I removed the battery and the charge light lit, which allows me to boot up the laptop and when Windows starts, I plugged it to the battery and it says: 19% (plugged in, load) so I track for a bit, but it didn't move at all, even when I changed the power of High Performance for HP recommended settings , window 19% available (plugged in, load) but it's just, it, don't move or anything like that.

EDIT: When I unplugged the charger to move my computer laptop and plugged in again, the indicator not lit and does not charge the battery thus forcing me to shut down or Hibernate, and remove the battery to the charge light.

Your battery is quite likely to be having no longer life left.

It is that if your laptop starts up without the battery, since the race, the battery test is not a viable option.

  • "Stop 0x000000A5 the BIOS of the system is not fully ACPI-compatible every time as the installation of a new windows 7 integral over Inspiron 15R N5110.

    Hello

I have installed Windows 7 ultimate 64 bit on many brands of laptops, but when I installed it on Inspiron 15R N5110, (core i5 and 4GBRAM). I faced an error at startup of windows 7 after completing the installation.
NOTE: When the installation finished and restarted my computer, this window shown to me.

Two options from the two options above I chose, I found myself with the blue screen:

Error blue screen said something these ' BIOS in this system is not fully ACPI-compatible. Contact your system provider for an updated BIOS I don't know what that means and I don't know where is the culprit. I wish I could capture this error screen. However, it is impossible to do because I wasn't the Windows environment.

Even if the error related to BIOS necessary for the update, so how could I update as long as windows has not begun.

Is there something that needs to be configured in the BIOS before installing Windows 7 on Dell laptops.
I'm quite surprised that the previous system was windows 7, but it was Home Premium.

The strangest thing is when I tried to start to repair the disk and even disk instillation of Windows to resolve startup problems, I found that this startup repair couldn't fix problems.

When I tried to do these steps:

    1. Insert your Windows XP CD into the CD-ROM or DVD-ROM drive, and then restart your computer from the CD.

Note Some computers may require you change basic input/output system (BIOS) settings before you can start the computer from a CD-ROM. For more information about changing the BIOS, see your computer documentation.
    2. When the "Welcome" screen appears, press R to start the Recovery Console.
    3. If your computer is configured to dual-boot or multiple boot, select the appropriate installation of Windows XP.
    4. When you are prompted to do so, type the administrator password and press ENTER.
Note By default, the administrator password is blank in Windows XP Home Edition.
    5. By default, Hiberfil.sys is usually located in the directory root (C:\). At the command prompt, type del hiberfil.sys and then press ENTER.
    6. Restart the computer.
When I arrived at "system recovery options, I saw that my system is listed, then I chose then, but I found myself with this ' this"system recovery options"version is not compatible with the version of windows that you are trying to fix." Try to use a different compatible with this version of windows recovery disk, even if I'm sure only that the same disk to install windows I have installed since.

NOTE: I do not add RAM or other devices. There is a windows 7 Home premium and I just re installed a windows 7 ultimate 64-bit. I don't really know what the previous windows version 7 is 32 or 64 bit.
I checked the dell forum and I found ' your computer goto your BIOS F2

That goto advance Select ATA to instead of AHCPI save the setting, and then try to restart your Windows 7

    hope it will work. »

But he did not AHCPI, but I found AHCI and let ATA instead of AHCI, but no difference that happened.

Warning: Be careful when you change the BIOS settings. The BIOS interface is designed for advanced users, and it is possible to change a setting that can prevent your computer from starting properly. BIOS update should be made only if necessary (to solve a compatibility problem, for example). It can be a complicated process, and if an error occurs, your computer could be rendered inoperative. Thank you very much

I checked this thread, and I found this solves the problem

I have changed the serial port in the BIOS for 2F8/IRQ3 and I have not had a blue screen since... fingers crossed, it's her!

But as you know that no matter what BIOS are different from others.

Thus, I have not found any serial port in the BIOS to be replaced by 2F8/IRQ3

NOTE: My problem is when you install a new version of Windows.

In addition, every time a new windows installation 7 and facing the Blue error screen, I started to Macrium Rescue CD and clicked "fix windows startup", and then when restart my windows, I was not facing the the Blue error screen. If windows starts successfully.

If the blue screen error was tied to the BIOS, the Refelct Macrium rescue CD wouldn't no matter what (not know this problem)

  • Sansa Clip Zip battery does not charge, goes directly to the screen of the song

It's my third Sansa MP3 players.  The first was a Sansa Fuze with the round button.  Like that one but my husband needed more that I did it I gave it to him.  He is old, but the player is still so today.

The second was a Sansa Fuze + with the touchpad.  The touchpad has been way too sensitive but I need to play only two songs for sleep therapy while I was fine with it until the battery suddenly stopped charging a few months ago, I posted my problems in the Sansa Fuze + forum.  After trying a few suggestions, I finally accepted that he was a Goner.

I bought this Sansa Clip Zip 4 G, thinking that should last at least for a while because I use every day.  In fact, I needed only when I had disorders of sleep during the night;  I probably used it once every two weeks or more.  I used my cell phone to the device, had no problems until now.

The last time that I loaded it was 2 weeks, to 98% full - the thing never indicated 100% while it was a little weird.  In any case, I had problems sleeping two nights ago so I took out the Clip Zip and noticed that the battery still had plenty of juice left.  This morning I checked the battery, he had 68%, but I thought I needed could again tonight so better it load up, just in case where.

I connected it to my computer, but it did not show "connected" screen  Instead, he went straight to the last song I listened to.  I thought it was weird so I turned off the player then tried again.  Of course, he went directly to the screen of the song.  I noticed that the battery icon was showing 'filler '.  I thought that if I left it connected to the pc long enough IT would eventually deducted.  Two hours later, I checked the computer and it says that the drive battery was dangerously low.  I disconnected and then reconnected and this time he said 98% charged.  I loaded a bit more just in case so I used the player for about 15 minutes and the player turns off.  Plugged into the pc and now it says battery is extremely low, while the last hours do not charge the battery, but it drains pretty!

My last attempt was to plug into a wall charger and guess what?  He went directly to the screen of the song once again.  Contrary to connect to the computer, I could actually turn off the player but this way does not charge the battery, or.   It's exactly the same problem as my second player, the Sansa Fuze +.

I bought the last two players from Sansa, simply because I really liked the first which of course had been abandoned a long time ago.  I don't know if I have bad luck or it is just an issue joint Sansa players but one way or the other I don't buy any Sansa more in the future.  He is a big name that comes with the big disappointment!

You can also try a reset by pressing and hold the power button for 20-30 seconds. Release it and then turn it on normally and see how it behaves.

By your description of the message "dangerously low" you get then plug it into your computer, which tells me that you use MTP mode on the player (or default automatic default, MTP). MTP mode can be pretty weird; better to use MSC mode unless you have need to PSG for "protected" content or DRM files such as Rhapsody or audio in your library or Audible books. The small "crirically" message is a bug in Windows 7 (using MTP mode) that Microsoft did not consider important enough to fix.

  • Battery does not charge even when it is plugged

    Hey world-

I currently have a Dell Laptop Inspiron 1525 I bought in April 2008. A few weeks ago, I noticed that my battery has not been reloaded, even when it's plugged in, and I confirmed it by clicking on the icon the battery and reading, "plugged in, not charging.» Because my battery is over a year old, I advanced and bought a new battery AND a new laptop computer charger, just in case where it's the two that were dead/defective.

However, the issue has not changed: battery still says: "plugged in, not charging.»

I checked with different points of sale, I changed my savings 'power' on my computer and I looked over my ports - everything is in working order.

How can I get this problem resolved?

In fact, what causes a lot of wear on a battery empties it too low on several occasions. With today

Here are some tips to help and troubleshoot battery issues.

Old battery? Unplug the power to the computer - remove the battery and clean the contacts with a pencil

Check with the support of the machine system, and many of them have on line forums.

New Lithium-Ion type battery usually last longer if you do not unload then less than 30%

HP Pavilion G6 computer 1093SA laptop does not charge when I plug in the power adapter

The battery is dead. When I try to turn on the laptop by plugging the AC adapter does not charge or led power LED does not turn on. But when I press the power button, the power, the indicator flashes and turns off (when power adapter connected).

    Dear customer,

Welcome and thanks for posting your question on the Forum of Support HP

It seems that you are not able to turn on the laptop and tried to solve the problem

Please perform steps listed to find out if it is a hardware or software problem below:

    1. remove all cables and devices, disconnect them and try to turn on the device

    2. check the LED light situation and ensure the action of the spring button / stop is normal

3 Exchange with a well known power cord and the AC adapter

4 Pack no adapters are available, check if the power adaptor is slightly warm

Note: This will give us an indication that the power adapter could be good

    5. do you know if the laptop was in battery or power adapter when you used the last time

Note: Make sure that there is no spill of liquid or cutting

    6. check if the Port of the AC adaptor is loose/broken

Note: If the laptop is not on even with a power adapter well known, this confirms the hardware failure with the system board or power DC Circuit

  • Inspiron 15R (N5110, early 2011)

I am very disappointed by the site of Dell support for this model. It shows 2 different AMD driver downloads...

    &

    ATI Mobility Radeon HD 7570M

Problem is this laptop is not (and was not always an option to have) any of these chipsets. Generic AMD drivers (Omega 14.12) do not work properly. I tried to download the driver of HD 6470 M by searching from Dell website, but the pilot shows that only being compatible for Vostro Notebook 3555 and Inspiron M5110. When I installed this driver, it's pretend complete installation but then nothing (Catalyst Control Center was not available after reboot and still a yellow! in Device Manager)

  • Edge 15 X 301 battery does not charge

Browsing the forums seems to be a fairly common problem.  I hope I can find help here because I personally am really tired/frustrated a recent experience of Lenove service but that's another story and I'm here to try to resolve a problem of battery without spending a penny more on this laptop I'm seriously regretting buying.

Question: My battery discharge (up to 38%), but does not charge.  Status, as in the myriad of other posts on this topic, is "plugged in, not charging".  Power Manager says battery is in good condition and there is no obvious reason I can telI.  My system tells me I have the latest firmware (0002-0004-4216-00C 0) and software (v6.32 Power Manager).  This just started happening a few days ago.  I called guarantee help and they told me they couldn't help me because I was out of warranty - their advice to download all the latest and greatest software and good luck.  "We refer to service centers in the cases where it's a hardware problem... ».

As I said earlier, I did put more money in this laptop and if that ends up being a hardware problem (no obvious signs of damage not present whatsoever) I'll probably put this lemon on ebay and I hope make $100 and away from Lenovo all together.  Everything has been a terrible experience.

    Any help would be appreciated.

I have the same problem on TWO computers 15 laptops on board. Periodically the battery stops charging a the only way out is to turn it off, remove the battery and press on & press and hold power for about 30 years. Plug the battery in, power cable and the power upward and it works very well - for a few days/weeks. Then the round, there it is again.

everything is up to date and I'm under pw6.32. I think that the problem started with the latest bios BUT not sure.

Turn on Lenova fix of this problem.
