Inspiron 3646 not restart after power loss

I put the BIOS is still on after power loss. But it does not work. The computer turns on after turning the power on. The version of the BIOS A04. On the site, said the new BIOS A05 but instead of downloaded BIOS file doc. What would you advise?

Thank you!

I just wanted to know all that tech Dell dispatched to install a new motherboard for my 3646 and this fixed the issue of recovery of AC.  He gets now as it should be when the value "On".

So you don't have to bother waiting for an update of the BIOS, get your motherboard replaced.

    Hello

My problem is that I have updated the BIOS and after that the machine does not restart. (Corrupt BIOS?)

After that the BIOS updated (Satellite L40 PSL48E), reboot the machine and with the F2 key, I open the BIOS setup.

It's strange because after that the updated BIOS update you can go into the BIOS.

However, try to remove the battery and the AC adapter. Wait one hour and then put the battery back in and connect the AC adapter. Try again.

If it doesn't work it is something wrong with the hardware or BIOS and must be checked by a technician for laptop.

  • Windows 7 will not restart after an installed cleaning

After a clean install of windows 7, it will not restart when you click on restart. It just goes to the screen to the motherboard. If you go into the bios, windows will restart by clicking on the disk that contains windows 7. How to make computer restarts correctly?

It is probably an incorrect configuration in the BIOS boot priority setting.

When you install the operating system, you usually change the priority settings of your device to start to get my media you use (USB or optical drive). Therefore, it is possible that it was for the setting even after installation, so he's trying to boot from the recovery media instead of the operating system on the hard drive.

The BIOS boot priority settings vary depending on the manufacturer of the computer. Therefore, for the change in the value of such assistance, we suggest that you contact the manufacturer of your computer.

You are able to reboot your device in SafeMode as shown in KB17877?

I guess, because it is taken in a reboot cycle, when you connect to the desktop software it does not have a stable connection to reinstall your software?

If this is the case, remove the battery and keep it off when you connect to the desktop software. You will get a pop up that the device cannot connect and there should be buttons retry, update and cancel. Select Update and you will then be able to reinstall the latest version of the device software.

When the load progresses, you will see a step that says "waiting for initialization of the devices '. At this point, insert the battery and recharging must complete.

  • Older A1138 Office do not restart after software update?

I have worked on an old Mac Office since last night, think that the owner said it is a model of A1138, do not see anything in the associated model anywhere on the unit. The OSX Snow Leopard loaded very well so I ran the software update, but after that he showed that is was downloaded and restarts, it seems being stuck at this time, should I shut down and restart or how much time should I wait please?

Sorry to not give more details. Guy brought this machine for me yesterday. He said his tenant that moved did not have to take this very old and heavy machine for him, then the tenant given to him. The owner however gave him the unit without the disc hard OSX but hard left 2 discs in there for him. So, I loaded 10.6.3 original CD-ROM from Apple on this topic. I'm trying to upgrade from 6.3 to 6.8, but after he showed that the updates have been downloaded and restarts, it seems to be stuck at this time here with just the 'outer space and stars' screen purple color, should I shut down and restart or how much time should I wait please?

I have searched the knowledge base and tried the suggestions, remove ad - ons, reset, etc. I also completely deleted Firefox and reinstalled from a new download.
    Any suggestions?

From what I've read other posts on this forum, the
problem may be caused by the settings to erase history. It's supposed to
to have been fixed in v30.

Type of topic: preferences #privacy < enter > in the address bar.

The button next to history, select use custom settings.

At the bottom of the page, turn clear history when Firefox closes.
At the extreme right, press the settings button. Activate ONLY the Cache and
Form history and search for without touching the others turned off.

This is not a cure but will make it easier if Firefox crashes in Windows.
