Inspiron 7347 touchpad problems
I got my Inspiron 7347 for a few days. When using the battery, the touchpad exposes some quirks that make this extremely difficult to use as a laptop P:C.
The mouse on the touchpad hangs intermittently, sometimes for several seconds. This erratic behavior makes the mouse terribly difficult.
When scrolling with the mouse on a vertical scroll bar, right-click for the Office menu keeps popping up. I have to move the mouse out of the scroll bar, left click to get rid of the right click menu and reposition the mouse on the scroll bar. Sometimes this behavior is constant when you scroll a page long, it is impossible to use the mouse to scroll.
I searched this forum to find answers, but what I find is other users complain the same problems going back months. This is one of the sons, started 09/11/2014, nearly two months ago:
en.Community.Dell.com/.../19606250
I struggle to understand how Dell can sell and PC are provided with a well-known set of very serious problems of touchpad. My guess is that a new driver is needed - NOW!
All the answers? Thank you.
The touchpad on my Inspiron 7347 was replaced under warranty. A technician came to my house and swapped for a new touchpad. Most of the problems that I had is now resolved. He was not a software/driver issue in my case, but rather a faulty touchpad. The hesitation frequent moving of the mouse and gel disappeared. The mouse is now pretty much behaving as expected.
A 'trick' I discovered - as the mouse moves when you click, I keep my finger of the right hand on the mouse pad and click on with my left hand. Using two fingers tends to keep the stable mouse while clicking. I think that the basic design of the mechanism of rattling is simply bad. One of the technicians agree chat with me. The trick of two fingers, it is achievable.

History: I just bought a laptop / Tablet Dell Inspiron 7347 (exchanged for another unit, see below). Problems to maintain a strong connection and when connected, it is very slow. When it is connected to the wireless router, it maintains a (slow) connection for 3-5 minutes and then craps out (restrict the connection with the yellow "!" on the WiFi in the taskbar). He then returned to the top of 1 3 minutes later. It's a coherent continuous cycle. I tried to reset the default router with no luck.
All the other devices on this router (office, phone, IPad) all hold the connection without problem at the same time, this device is not.
Notable: Before I bought this tablet/laptop I bought an Acer Aspire tablet / laptop which had exactly the same problem on my network. I returned the unit for other reasons (quality of construction etc.), but he had the same OS (Win 8.1). I don't know if she had the same network adapter.
What I tried: cycling the router - cycling the modem - router the default factory reset of small animals - U-APSD deactivation on the network card - slapping me hard - offering to the gods...
What I tried to try: tried to update the drivers for the Intel card using the Intel drivers update (adapter drivers for Win 8.1 and Intel PROset wireless), but he kept time during download because... THE NETWORK IS NOT STABLE! (ugh!)

I turned off and BOOM... everything was fine. Also, I noticed when it was powered up, the speedtest would plunge drastically when I actually moved the mouse during the test. See below for the result of the test with the mouse. I can't post a with the mouse on because the test wouldn't even with it on.
Hmmmm... so it turns out that it could be a problem with a product from Ms... go figure.

Satellite P300-1 year - Touchpad problem with AC adapter / CC
I have a laptop Satellite P300-1 year and from the beginning (two weeks)
I have a touchpad problem: it will not immediately responsive and the pointer shakes when pressing the key. Very often, it freezes for only one or two seconds. It's VERY annoying. A USB mouse works perfectly.
I tried to reinstall the drivers of the ALPS, tried Synaptics ones, just try Windows Vista drivers: no way. Now, I found the reason: this question is present only when the laptop is powered by the AC adapter / CC.
With the battery, the touchpad is perfect.I contacted Toshiba Service and thay said that they do not change the AC adapter if I don't mean before a full system restore!
Is it not more simple just try with a new adapter and then only, if the problem persists, try more drastic procedures?Anyone had this same problem?
> I contacted Toshiba Service and thay said that they do not change the AC adapter if I don't mean before a full system restore! Is it not more simple just try with a new adapter and then only, if the problem persists, try more drastic procedures?
The point is that your laptop should be always verified using the Toshiba factory setting.
Why? Because the ASP wants to make sure that this issue is not related to a software problem (compatibility problems with applications 3rd part). Software problems are not covered by the warranty. In addition the ASP will always recover the laptop before the verification of the pieces of equipment to malfunction. Therefore, you should always back up your data from the HARD disk until you send the laptop to check.
I recommend you to reinstall the operating system using the Toshiba recover disc and then check if the problem appears.
If yes you can contact ASP and could provide all the necessary details for only one technician.Good bye

I got a dell inspiron 7347 which is advertised on the dell site it can be improved to "stylus assets dell."
As the laptop is currently unusable for taking with the current passive stylus (ball too thick, no rejection of palm) of notes in hand, I would like to know what, exactly, is part of the active stylus announced how many and where it can be found, as even a dell representative. I contacted earlier this week don't seem to know...
... Which makes me wonder if this pen really exists! (false advertisement?)
The only thing I can find is an active stylus of dell for the pros of the place. What is meant for work with the inspiron as well?
If so, would this work out of the box or I need to install special software?
Finally, by lucky chance, has anyone given it a try on the inspiron?
Thank you
Dimitrios
Hello, I asked the same question a few days ago. Now I have the answer: the Active stylus works on Dell Inspiron 7347. I bought one and it works fine (I'm happy with it). I use it since yesterday. Dell told me that they don't update the description of the active stylus Dell. I bought this one: click here. I got it out of the box, and it worked, no installation required.
I noticed one thing, it's that the rejection of palm does not work all the time... I'd say the rejection of palm works 100% on Photoshop (very good), 90% on OneNote, 70% on Microsoft Office (not perfect)... If anyone knows a very good software to take notes PDF with a very good release palm, I would like to know because I'm taking notes in school with this computer. I tried Drawboard PDF, but it always has my notes in bulk or stop so I deleted the application (people say that Drawboard PDF is the best PDF application to take notes, but I am very disappointed!)

(Redirected) 15 7547 Inspiron Touchpad problem
The Inspiron 15 7547 comes with a driver for the touchpad momentum 2010, which seems incompatible with Windows 8.1. As delivered, this driver is enabled to run at startup (see the Task Manager). In all there is no driver for the touchpad on the support site for that model.
The major impact: If switch you users back more than once, all the programs that were open on the desktop are closed when you return - which is not a standard Windows 8.1 behavior. If a user then, a range of sign ons to come back on. In the presence of an antivirus like AVG or Avast, the impact is really weird. The short-term solution is to disable the driver in the Startup tab - change username and logout then follow the standard behavior of Windows 8.1.
The lesser impact is that, with or without that the driver is activated at startup, touchpad functions well enough as a Microsoft "precision touchpad", but do not receive you additional features that the touchpad is designed to have.
I spent a lot of time to find the source of the problem and am not very happy about it. Dell is expected to provide a driver updated to momentum (some are available for other models, but they do not seem to work on 7547) or an explanation why it cannot.

Split x 2, touchpad problem
The Split X 2 HP with processor i5 and WIndows 8.1
I bought a x 2 split this last November and I had a problem of re-occurred since I got it. During use, the mouse will often freeze and my touchpad does not work. Can you please tell me how to fix this? I am a student engineer and I need my computer works fine for my work. Thank you
Hello
I recently used a Split 13D x 2 that has the same problem and the next seems to correct the problem.
Open windows control panel and open the Device Manager. Expand "Controllers of Bus USB" and you should find 2 entries for "Generic USB Hub". Right-click on that 1 and select Properties, then select the tab power management and Remove the tick in the box "allow the computer to turn off this device to save power". Click Ok to save the setting.
Do the same for the 2nd "USB hub generic.
Once completed, restart the laptop.
Kind regards

I used my wireless mouse once and my trachpad has stopped working compltetely.
I have seen that it is a common problem but Ive tried everything and nothing works. a hard reset worked once to get my mouse works again without the wireless mouse but when I need to click top of cushion does nothing.

Satellite Z30 - A - 1 d 0: No. Wlan after fashion 'sleep' / touchpad problem
Hello!
I bought this laptop in early September and I am super happy with it, but there are two little things that annoy me and I was not able to fix yet:
(1) exit standby or sleep mode, it is re - connect never automatically for the wireless on it's, I have to do it manually every time. Windows wireless works well, so this isn't it, but what is?
(2) sometimes the touchpad will stop working randomly and I have to use a mouse or restart to fix it. I reinstalled the drivers for the touchpad. Turning the touchpad/disable using function keys does not resolve the problem.
Any help would be appreciated!
Yes, the Intel® Dual Band Wireless-AC 3160 pilot was published on the Intel page, and looks like this driver is more recent than the one provided in the Toshiba page.
Here you can get the latest version of the driver:

Satellite L505-13W - FN keys were not and touchpad problem
Hello everyone,
I have two questions and I'd highly appreciate your help.
First, when I got the laptop he used to have a Fn bar that comes down from the top of the screen when I press the Fn, it shows all the keys Fn, now it disappeared. I need to get it back, I almost tried everything and nothing is there yet.
Second, the touchpad is a zoom no more when I apply the 2 fingers in and out, he used to do that before.
My laptop is Satellite L505-13W
Thanks in advance
Hi abdouni,.
1. I think that the problem is related to Toshiba Value added Package, and Flash Cards Support utility. These two tools control FN keys and cards Flash appears if you press the FN key.
You can download it from the official website of Toshiba:
http://EU.computers.Toshiba-Europe.com > support & downloads > download driversRegarding the installation: first remove these two tools and reboot the laptop. Now, install the package of added value and stop and start again. Install the Flash Cards Support utility and do a restart. Now, the FN keys should work again.
2. it could be related to value added package too to check my ad.
If it s does not work, reinstall the driver for the touchpad. -
Satellite T110-107: touchpad problem - pointer move sometimes
Good afternoon everyone,
Currently I have a series of Satellite T110-107 and have problems with the touchpad.
I start the computer and the touchpad works very well for a few seconds, after that, the touch pad stops working to full capacity.
If I wander my fingers on the touchpad and the pointer does not move, sometimes it will move up and down, but not as it should. It is a common problem, or is it a hardware problem... or is it the fact that I'm just not accustomed to having the correct settings on windows7?
All help reveal be great, because it's very frustrating!
Kind regards!
Hello
I found a few tips and tricks that you should try.
First, you must change the sensitive touchpad settings to lower the level.
Go to control panel-> mouse and all the settings for the touchpad to the value has a less sensitive level. You should also right click Synaptics Pointing Device (in the taskbar) and get in the middle of the page Double click speed on.
Move the slider to half way down the beach. This should help you too.Last but not leas, you will need to disable zoom pinch.
Go to the icon in the lower right corner Synaptics pointing device, click on 'The pointing device properties', click on the "Device settings" tab, then the settings button. Uncheck "Enable Pinch Zoom" under "Pinch Zoom".Greetings

Hello
I don't know exactly where you can find a correct setting on this unit, but it must be somewhere in the mouse properties.
Please also check the model of laptop. Equium M40 does not for me. Just A60. Give us please the right laptop model.

Touchpad problem - Satellite A50-111
Hello. Last week, I bought my laptop and here I am with a problem of inportant.
The touchpad does not work correctly. When I take the finger above the cursor jumps up and down even when the finger is motionless. (It's like the mouse cursor oscillates on its expected position). It is very difficult to click on anything whatsoever. I use an external USB mouse that works very well.
I don't think that it is a driver/software problem. I use a linux live CD (Knoppix 3.7) distribution to check if the problem persists under linux. He does.
Is there someone else with the same problem here? Don't you think that, given the information above, it is a hardware problem or would it be the drivers?
Hello
In my view, it cannot be driver issue, as all drivers are put to the test. It is very difficult to say what is a problem.
You can check all the mouse settings including the advanced feature settings. Y at - there no any improvements you can contact the after-sales Service of Toshiba partner. Those are responsible for all material tests.
If you need info on the Service partner you can find it on

Satellite A-C55-1R8 - interference of Touchpad problem
I have the Satellite C55-A-1R8, using Windows 8.1.
The Synaptics touchpad has always given unpredictable results, some setings I have used or cancelled. For example, he suddenly loses the ability to receive a double-tap, even if the icon still has ' tap to click on "checked. When I click it, the cursor flies in the upper right of the screen and is difficult to control again.
However, the buttons continue to operate normally, but if I sleep or Hibernate the computer things are normal again immediately, he wakes up.
Also, the key often picks up and moves the icons and files without double click. I installed the latest Synaptics driver update, but no change. However, I said that the treatment of the files on this model are so thin that the fingers to rest above and below the keyboard can interfere with touchpad controls and begin to suspect that it is maybe the reason some of the strange behavior.
If this is the case, can I isolate it with almost anything to avoid this problem?
Have you tried to reduce the sensitivity of the mouse?
Since when have you noticed such behavior strange touchpad? Since the first may day?
I don't think it's the best solution for you, but maybe you should reinstall the operating system using the original recovery image and it test the functionality of the touchpad with the 'settings '.
If the problem persists it could be some hardware related issue so you can contact the nearest Toshiba service provider and ask for help.
