Inspiron 7352: upgrade memory and hard drive.

Hello

I am considering buying this laptop , but have a few questions before deciding:

1 - can I replace the module memory 8 GB by default with a 16 gb one? If Yes, what is the recommended brand/model should I buy? I see that the laptop has only a slot of memory, so a 16 GB module is necessary, but I couldn't find it after a quick best buy search.

2 - is compatible with the laptop that 512 GB ssd ?

3 is this laptop special edition of the inspiron 13 7000? (The best link buying do not)

I'm a programmer who works with multiple virtual machines, so 16 GB memory is a requirement. Where it is not possible with this laptop, I'd like a 13.3 laptop (preferably 2 in 1) solution.

Thanks in advance

If the specs say it will take a 16G module, they have recently started appearing on the market - critical does not list one (yet).  You may want to wait a bit for the latter to become commonplace (and lower price - they are very expensive now).

This SSD works perfectly.

  • Envy 15 t: upgrade memory and hard drive HP ENVY 15t

Hi guys, I just bought the HP Envy 15 not touch t (ae100) with the following characteristics:

-CPU & graphics: 6th generation Intel Core i7-6700HQ Quad Core processor + Intel HD Graphics 530

    -Memory: 8 GB DDR3L - 1 DIMM

-Hard drive: 1 TB 5400 RPM hard drive

I have a few questions about it. First of all, my laptop doesn't have a vacant unit of m2 where I can insert an SSD and if not a SATA 3 2.5-inch SSD fits instead of the hard disk without additional fixing or need support.

Second, is there an empty memory slot to insert a 8 GB of additional ram.

Any kind of assistance will be extremely useful and thanks in advance.

No crack m2. From the Manual:

Only dedicated support of storage SATA m2 (Port 0) (models with i7 processors and 4 GB memory graphics)

So if you have Intel HD video only you do not have a slot m2.

Here's the manual for your use:

    Repair manuals

Yes on the memory 8 GB 2d module:

Both not accessible/upgradable module DDR3L-1600 slots double channel memory support 16 GB of RAM in the following conƭgurations ● 16384-Mo (8192 MB × 2)

Access to the memory and hard drive are obtained by removing the lower cover. Technically this is not allowed to the end user if security is jeopardized.

A standard 2.5 inch SATA SSD to integrate perfectly in the original hardware for hard disk 5400 RPM. It is a highly recommended update. The 16 GB of RAM not so much, but it's one of those things "might as well" If you are determined to go there.

  • Upgrade memory and HARD drive to 2410

I was wondering if there were specific constraints on the type of computer portable HARD drive I can use in my 2410. Have specified all Toshiba certain types of HARD drive?
Also, what RAM do need me? I know it of DDR, but what number of pins do I etc.?
    See you soon
    James

    Hi James,

Please check the following URL for details of compatible RAM modules for your laptop. The site lists the different models in the series 2410.

    http://www.orcalogic.co.UK/ASP/memoryfinder.asp?recor=1&ft=m&St=3&PT_ID=5391&x=10 & y = 7

In regards to your hard drive, Toshiba will use a variety of different manufacturers for their drives, so your only problem would be the drive form factor which I think is a standard 2.5-inch internal drive. You should check the thickness of the disc, since these can be either 12 MM or 9 mm. Of course, you can be held as long as there is sufficient space to accommodate the new drive.

Most laptops come with slower discs of 4500 rpm, so you can install a faster drive (5400 or 7200 RPM), but beware of the possible extra heat they generate.

As disk capacity, I think your original drive is 30 GB if your BIOS must be capable of handling greater capacity (100 GB or 80 GB) without any problems.

  • Equium A200 PSAE8E: Need info on memory and HARD drive upgrade

In the manual of my Equium A200 PSAE8E described the possibility for the user to add a second internal hard drive and upgrade the memory from 2 GB to 4 GB. This can be done by the end user without taking the laptop to the local service for repair.

I would like to order a 200 GB internal second hard drive, as well as to replace the 2 chips of 2 GB of Ram with 2 4 GB chips, but I find not the product ID for these modules, because it seems that this model of Toshiba psae8e is not registered for compatibility.

Someone has technical details about the product ID and the cost to be sure to order the right parts without compatibility issues?
    Thank you
    Paolo

    Hello

I would like to add some info on the second HARD drive on laptop Equium A200 upgrade.
As far as I know all the A200 are delivered with the second HARD drive location. This location is available, but not all phones of A200 could be improved with the second HARD disk, since it lacks the second HARD disk controller interface.

Therefore, you should be 100% sure if your laptop can handle the second HDD.
You can simply check this remove the cover of the location of the HDD on the second and check if the connection of the HARD disk is available.
If this isn't the case, then you cannot move the laptop with the second HARD drive.

    Now something about the memory.
I studied in the internet for some compatible modules and surprise, surprise ;)
    Found this wonderful site:
    http://www.orcalogic.co.UK/ASP/ProdType.asp?ProdType=30715&ft=m&St=3

According to the news the portable supports the DDR2 667 MHz (PC2-5300) 200-PIN SODIMM memory modules.

All parts such as memory or HARD drive can be ordered also with the service provider authorized in your country!

  • SL 410 Upgrade ram and hard drive

    Hi all

I have been using the 410-2842-rk1 model Lenovo thinkpad SL for a year and a half.

    No problems until now

I want to upgrade the RAM and hard drive of this machine.

At the time of purchase, I had seen that I could improve up to 1 TB of hard drive.

Please guide me if I can or not.

About the RAm too, I need assistance (maximum limit I can update)

    Thanks in advance...

You can switch to a 1 TB HDD providing it will fit physically. They are more hard are 9.5 mm thick but some hard drives of 1 TB are 12.5 mm thick. If you get a 9.5 mm HARD drive then it will work. Readers of 12.5 mm is too thick to fit.

Regarding the RAM, you can install up to 8 GB of RAM, which is 2 x 4 GB.

  • Satellite A100 - memory and hard drive upgrade

    Hi guys,.

I have a Satellite A100-158 of the model code PSAA9E-01700VPT. It came with a 80 GB HDD at 5400 RPM S.M.A.R.T. and 1 GB of RAM DDR2 (533 MHz).

I think that my computer slows to a crawl because maybe I thought the hard drive being old and low memory for recent programs and therefore upgrade the hard drive and memory.

A Western Digital Scorpio Black 320 GB 7200 RPM 16 MB 2.5 inch would fit? According to them, it's running at 7200 RPM with the energy consumption of a drive 5400 RPM (marketing simply bad maybe).

And a memory card Kingston 2 GB DDR2 800 MHz working? It has a higher frequency than my current ram, but then I guess he can withdraw maximum permitted by the motherboard? I guess that's 533 Mhz as my module memory factory. I can also buy a module 2 GB of the same manufacturer exact DDR 2 as well but 667 MHz instead... still higher than my current memory module.

Thanks much for the tips... I hope that this will bring my A100 more in standards without going to a new laptop :)

    Hello

Generally, a HARD drive with more RPM isn't a problem, but he needs a little more power and product more heat, but it should work.
It s based on your application that you are running. For normal use, 5400 RPM should be ok.

The modules of RAM with higher specifications are also no problem because it s downgrade compatible for lower speed (533 MHz).
Kingston is always recommendable, I've never had a problem with these modules. :)

  • Satellite 2800-200; is it possible to upgrade the memory and HARD drive capacity

    Hi all

my computer is a Toshiba Satellite S2800-200 (old) and I wont to ask if it is possible to upgrade memory capacity and disk.

    Thank you

Of course you can upgrade these laptop parts.
The laptop seems to be equipped with an internal memory which is not removable.

    http://www.orcalogic.co.UK/ASP/ProdType.asp?ProdType=7168&ft=m&St=3
According to the website above, you can use only one memory for an upgrade slot.
You can use the 144-Pin PC100 SODIMM 128 MB module. It's max.

I m not 100% sure on the HARD drive, but as I m not trunk not the laptop came with 10 GB HARD drive. Generally, a 20 GB HARD drive should be possible.

  • Satellite P20-504: memory and HARD drive upgrades

    Hello world

I have an OG (Original giant) P20-504.

Friday the 13th (seriously!), my hard drive is dead, thankfully I had a recent backup.

    I need some recommendations: -.

    (1) best to buy 80 GB drive.
    (2) I want to improve my memory, that can use? (2048MB is the target)
    (3) the modular drive of 2 adapters can still be purchased
    (4) no adapters only allow you to add a 2.5 inch drive?

In addition, anyone who has any point of view on how the P20 (mine has a 3.2 GHZ processor) will take care of Vista? I think that the graphics card may be a little wussy.

Also, how the P20 to compare with today's machines?

    Concerning

    Richard

    Hi Richard

I m in the same situation as you.
I want to install Vista on my old A50, but it has not been possible because of the 25 MB of ram. I have upgraded to 512 MB to I hope it's going to market.
Of course, the graphics card is not very fast, but I think that the operating system should run. I think you should also be able to install the Vista if the laptop supports 512MB min.

In any case, ask the best 80 GB HARD disk. I advise to use a cache of 8 MB 5200mrp HDD. This should work.
PS: I had a HARD drive a week ago headcrash. Very stupid situation. I bought a 60 GB HARD drive because I wasn't sure if the larger HARD drive will work on my old laptop.

Memory you can upgrade up to 2048 MB (2 x 1024) and the module of PC2100 DDR - RAM is compatible

    Good bye

  • Satellite A60-131: Question about upgrade RAM and HARD drive

    I have a Toshiba Satellite A60 S-131, bought 2 years ago.
I want to know is it possible for me to upgrade (internal) for a superior ability to HDD 40 GB HARD drive and update my RAM to 512 MB on the rise.

Also I already inserted a 256 MB DDR RAM in the empty memory slot almost 1 year ago.

    Help will be appreciated.

    Hi Pranjal,

You can definitley upgrade your hard drive for a larger version. You should find that a 80 or 100 GB will work fine. You should make sure that you get you a new disc with the same physical characteristics as you existing. The following link will help you remove the hard drive.
    http://irisvista.com/tech/laptops/ToshibaA65/satA65_1.htm

You can also get a new hard drive with a more rapid rotation speed (5400 RPM or 7200 RPM).

I think that the maximum RAM for the A60 is 1.25 GB which includes 1 X fixed module (I presume yours is 256 MB, which means that you can install an additional module with a capacity up to 1 GB. Available in capacities of 256 MB, 512 MB and 1 GB of RAM modules.

    Kind regards

  • Upgrading OS and HARD drive on my Satellite 4030cdt

Can someone tell me if there is no limitation on the size of the HARD drive in a 4030cdt?
Also, problems with different brands of HARD drive, etc..

I plan on upgrading from Windows 98 to XP, I know that of not the fastest machine in the world, but I use it as a backup on my desktop and it would just be easier with XP. I have 192 MB of ram (the maximum I think).

    Thank you
    David

    Hello

I know, that this device was shipped with 4 GB HARD drive size. I m not 100% sure, but I think that it of possible to work with the 7-10 GB of HARD drive. However, you can try to contact the service partner for more detailed information. They have more experience in this case. In addition, the memory of 192 MB should be enough if you use your device as backup media.

  • Tecra 8100 - upgrade RAM and HARD drive

    Hello
I just got a Toshiba Tecra 8100. I do not have this small a HHD and I wanted to know what size I can get it up to. I know y thread already asked this same question, but the technology continues to go better then perhaps there are HHD I can get.

I am also wanting to upgrade the RAM. I've seen places that sell 144pin PC100 512 MB and I was wondering if it is possible to upgrade this 2 of them or not.

    Any input would be great!
    Thank you
    Doug

    Hello!

The Tecra 8100 was delivered with HARD s up to 20 GB drive. I'm pretty sure that this laptop has a limitation of LBA 28 bits ([www.48bitlba.com]).
I put t know what HARD drive you have at the moment, but a hard HARD 40 GB or 60 GB would work in this good old classic.

In addition, the Tecra 8100 can be upgraded to 512 MB of RAM. So that you can t upgrade your laptop to more RAM.

  • Pavilion DV6 freezes but passes the Tests of memory and HARD drive

I have a dv6-3025dx that the POST is fine. It does not start after the screen 7 start, the recovery Partition loading bar or a Windows 7 recovery disk loading bar. The HP Vision diagnostic and a drive OEM 7 freeze as well. Start with a Ubuntu DVD displays icon on the keyboard at the bottom then nothing else than a cursor flashing at the top left of the screen. The HARD drive and memory in the BIOS Tests pass but the start-up Test, the Burn-in Test and the Test of memory in the partition the disk diagnostic all freeze immediately.

I reset BIOS, change the RAM with known working sticks and clone the HDD on a well known player and still get the same result. I had to clone the drive from a different machine, because Acronis True Image 2011 boot disk crashes after the splash screen. A 3rd party BACK base RAM and HDD tests pass with flying colors; including Windows, MemTest86 Memory Diagnostic + and video memory Stress test. Basically, I can't start any GUI environment. only of DOS or Linux command line. I'm guessing that maybe the video chip? Ideas or confirm my diagnosis?

    Thank you!

You make text based OSes seem to work well. This could mean that the video card is at fault with loads greater than the bare.

However, it could also be a SATA controller flaw that does not correctly handle the load. There is really no way to test this reliable I found.

No matter whether the video controller or the controller SATA, the result is the same and that is replace the motherboard. If it was office, a SATA PCI-based controller can be purchased cheap enough to exclude it. However, this is not an option here.

It really isn't too much other material in a notebook that is involved in the boot process and most of the material is soldered to the motherboard.

    I'm sorry.

    Hi all

I have an IBM ThinkPad R51 (2887) and I wanted to improve it with 1 GB of RAM and 160 GB of HARD drive.

But I have some doubts and need advice of experts here.

    (1) can I install RAM 1 GB PC2-5300 CL5 NP DDR2 SDRAM SODIMM instead of required 1 GB PC2700 CL2.5 NP DDR SDRAM SODIMM.

Also enlighten me with pros & cons.

    (2) what HARD drive I should opt for a Lenovo or Western Digital brand.

    See you soon,.

    Animesh

    Welcome to the forum!

You cannot install the PC5300 RAM in your machine, it should not physically, and if you try to force it to you will destroy the motherboard.

Lenovo does not have its own hard drives, but tests and labels drives from other manufacturers (Seagate, Hitachi, Fujitsu,...). Any drive 9.5 mm PATA will work properly in your R51.

    I hope this helps.
