Inspiron One 2320, Windows 7 Pro 64 bit, the installation order [questions]

After installing Windows 7 Professional 64-bit (Windows 7 Home Premium replacement).  Using the tab order of Installation, I finished the first category.

LAN works.  The WIFI does not work.

I'm guessing that you have sought pilots using your Service number, unfortunately, frequently missing some essential drivers.

Since your jpg shows that SM Bus controller is marked, it seems that you have not installed 2 chipset drivers Intel for Win 7 or Ethernet, WLAN and card reader drivers:

  1. Intel Chipset Software Installation Utility
  2. Intel AMT HECI
  3. 5139 Realtek card reader driver
  4. Realtek RTL8111E Gigabit Ethernet Controller
  5. Driver Atheros Wireless, either 1502 WLAN or 1702 WLAN + BT Combo according to what WLAN card you own.

2 drivers Intel should be installed as the first 2 drivers after loading Windows 7.  Without 2 chipsets, the other drivers cannot install or may not work

Install the Intel 2 drivers in the order listed above, and then restart. Install the other 3 and then reboot again. Some / all of the last 3 may ask you to restart to complete the installation, so do this before moving on to the news of the driver.

See if that fixes things.

  • Dell Inspiron One 2320 Nvidia GeForce GT 525 m overheating?

Hello. I have a Dell Inspiron One 2320 I think has problems with the graphics card GeForce GT525m of overheating. 5 minutes of a game, even on the detail settings low, the temperature reached quickly 90 + degrees Celsius. The max I've seen is 96 degrees. This occurred on the first day with the computer and I rarely used it to this problem. I know there is no problems with fans and vents being dirty because I checked all and as I mentioned before the machine ran hot on the first day. Airflow behind the appliance is wide open, so I know that there is no obstruction to the air flow.

My wife has a laptop (Inspiron 17R) with an Nvidia GeForce GT525m I've tested the same edition of the games and benchmarks on the, with even more detail settings and it reaches a temperature of about 70 ° c max.

It seems strange to me that a GPU reaches a high temperature in such a short period of time. I have other machines (portable and desktop computers) ever approaching 90 degrees.

Here is some relevant information on the PC in question.

    Model: Inspiron One 2320

    CPU: Intel Core i5 2400 s

    GPU: Nvidia GeForce GT525m DDR3

    RAM: 6 GB

    BIOS version: A10

NVIDIA drivers: Tested several Versions Dell 8.17.12.7073 & Nvidia Version 306.97 not changes of temperature between the pilots, all are about 90 degrees Celsius.

If anyone has experiences similar to this or has a solution I would be very happy. Thank you!

Overheating was a problem with mine, I made a drastic decision. To fit 120mm fans for the back cover. Check the youtube videos on these mods.

The cooling is normally a problem on these with many users complaining of the black screens and restart one of the videos shows how to mount the fans/vents aft to increase cooling.

I therefore a 2320 Dell with i5 2500K (Non-Dell) quad core CPU, 8 GB RAM, 256 GB SSD, 2 TB HDD, DVD burner standard still in use via USB and mounted back cover driving fans cooling the GPU and CPU.

Games played at max settings use to heat the motherboard to 97 degrees with the fan in place, he fell to-22 degrees to 75 c, which means that the machine not only better performance but last much longer due to the additional cooling.

I'm using Core Temp to monitor the temperature and OCCT to the stress test.

  • DownGrade Windows 8 Pro 64 bit on 4540 s HP Probook Windows 7 Pro 64-bit

    Hello

can someone tell me the correct procedure to downgrade pre-installed 64-bit Windows 8 Pro that came on my laptop 4540 s newly purchased to Windows 7 Professional 64-bit? Machine itsself comes not with any media. I also read the key is now also integrated into the BIOS. As I intend to replace the 500 GB HDD with a SSD 250 GB, I would like to re - install windows 7 at the same time. I know that you can download the vanilla windows versions 7 of m6mobile.fr and others and then install but I wanted to know if there was a formal process for HP machines. It would be also good to know that the process of extraction of the COA, so I can activate Windows 7 installation completed.

I am based in the United Kingdom (and an employee of HP)

(it seems I'm not the only one having this problem - I guess this method works http://www.pcworld.com/article/2015107/downgrading-from-windows-8-to-7-what-you-need-to-know.html?pa... )

but before could someone confirm that part "call microsoft" will be ok for me if I have no physical cost... also what can I do if I have not a pro windows 7 product key to enter during the installation of windows 7 - because obviously I intend to use the rights to downgrade to windows 8 pro key!).

    advice appreciated.

    Ad.

    Ok...

so having figured out that I can downgrade sounding MS I took the lead and mounted my new SSD drive and installed Windows 7 Pro 64 bit. Everything is good. What I need now is some of the correct drivers to get me going.

If someone could point me to the right for the following, I'd be grateful so I don't waste time to download everything. My version is HP Probook 4540 s C4Y79EA (i5-3210/4 GB RAM/15.6 inches) model British.

Some of the choices pilot have several versions of pointers to good enjoyed.

It is mainly in the field of the network drivers for the Wifi and fixed ports.

    Thank you.

I determined what hardware is in this model.

    WIFI/Bluetooth - download drivers Ralink

Ethernet card integrated - download the Realtek drivers.

The rest should be pretty straigtforward...

    Cheers.

  • Driver with ATI Radeon HD 3850 AGP under Windows 7 Pro 32 bit problems

Windows 7 Pro 32 bit reports after installation of the driver that no driver is present. There was patch drivers provided by ATI to solve these problems, but these drivers did not resolve the problems. Has anyone had success with this installation, and if so, would you please provide me with how you did this? Thank you. BTW, I did the ususal uninstall and then install, reinstalled the operating system via a facility clean and then installed the drivers, etc, etc. So far, nothing has worked. After Googling this issue I found that many others have had similar experiences with these driver problems. Now I have XP Pro and Win 7 Pro installed via dual boot and XP Pro is running pilots ok with no problems. Thank you!

I came across the work of question three years ago on one of my machines.

It is a problem of compatibility between the nForce 3 and AGP.  I don't remember the exact details, but with a nForce 3 and similar day SIS chipsets and a few others when they had a dual-core CPU in them, they would change the AGP port to use a PCI driver or something of this nature to enable the multi-core support (such as it's been hacked on toward the end of their development).  On Windows Vista and upward, such a workaround solution does not work.  SiS and some other published updates driver for the motherboard chipsets which he sorted, nVidia did not worth it, despite nForce 3 sold as Vista compatible.  nVidia pulled this stunt with a lot of things at the time, including their GeForce 5 cards, saying they supported Vista, same with the beta drivers and then they just canned originally.  They took both.

It is a solution that will be the kind of work, but as you may have guessed, you will need to disable one of the cores of your CPU.

You can do this by going to msconfig, click on the Startup tab, click Advanced... and changing the number of processors at 1.

Reboot and your graphics drivers will spring magically to life.

  • HP Photosmart 3210 will not install on Windows 7 Pro 64 bit.

HP Photosmart 3210 will not install on a brand new desktop running Windows 7 Pro 64 bit.  I downloaded the latest software, and when I run it, the installation window disappears shortly after it starts.  No error message.  I ran into several related issues lately.  I can't install a ScanJet 5590 on a new laptop running Windows 7 Pro 32-bit.  Said it ends, but nothing is installed.   Could the fact that there are other HP printers installed on these computers (network printers) installed using driver only before attempting to install the software cause problems?  I spent hours trying to solve these.

    OK, much better progress!

If the software is always installed, tell him you'll connect later.

Go to devices and printers, look for the printer here, make sure you that no documents waiting to print and delete the printer if it is there.

Then go into Device Manager and remove all photosmart series 3200 drivers you find, you may need to click displays hidden on the view menu.

Thirdly, go back to the devices and printers. Select another printer, as the writer XPS comes with Windows. Along the top, with adding a device, add a printer, print server, you will see properties. What to choose and go to the tab drivers. If you have the HP drivers in there you do not, select them and choose delete and "delete the driver only."

Now restart and go to your Start menu and your HP folder. You must have installed the software, just no device driver, select "add a device" or "printer setup and software." Installation should complete without problem.

One last thing, you must temporarily turn off firewall and antivirus installation, in which case he mistakingly tries to block the attempt to install.

    Good impression!

  • New installation on windows 7 pro 64-bit sees not connected wired Officejet 6500 E710a-f

    Hello!

New installation of Windows 7 Pro 64 bit on a gigahertz 3.40 AMD Phenom II X 4 965 with 8 GB of ram. Printer drivers worked on the same bench while he was running as Windows 7 Pro 32-bit.
After only install FF, AVG, and Acrobat (almost a clean install), downloaded the software HP Officejet full feature and pilot 2012-10-22, Version: 116,98, 28.8 M - OJ6500_E710n - z_1315.exe and tried to install the Officejet 6500 E710a f.

The printer has a manually set static IP and can be ping from the host. Clean Windows Firewall is disabled and stopped.

The web interface using the IP address of the printer comes with all the features works on FF.
Network status shows connected with IP address, hostname and Mac.

However, when installing the network audit is no ethernet connection. Even manually enter his public static IP address or hostname does not solve the problem.

Try the USB, the same question option. I see in Device Manager under other devices HPOfficejet 6500 and 6500 HPOfficejet - Fax with a blue questionmark.
(In the same "other devices" there are 2 Officejet 6500 with a yellow exclamation point - probably from failed network installation).

In the printers and devices window, the 6500 is displayed with the correct thumbnail, but with a yellow exclamation point icon. Law and by selecting the convenience store, Windows comes up with the message that no driver is installed and offers a solution.  The correction ends with the error that no drivers not found for the FAX. Re-apply the patch never finds the driver.

Anyone who has met something similar (and a solution)?

    Thanks for any help!

    Jack

After trying to do an install clean-install of 100% and once again, the driver software could not find the printer name or IP address.
Back at each stage, I noticed that I was not using the correct driver! For some reason I D/L the pilot E710n which is for HP Officejet 6500 a Plus e-All-in-One.
Whatever the difference, when installing the E710n for the model does not detect the printer, or via USB or Ethernet.
After you download the right driver for the E710a - f HP Officejet 6500 a e-All-in-One Printer (OJ6500_E710a - f_1315.exe) installation perfectly finished in a few minutes and everything goes well...

You would think, base or USB connectivity network should not be dependent on the specific differences sub-model. I was expecting that a bad driver interrogate the device after finding its IP address and display an error message with useful text.

  • LaserJet p1006 and windows 8 pro 64-bit

When released drivers for the laserjet p1006 for windows 8 pro 64-bit? I have a printer which i cannont use...

Passed Windows 7 32-bit to 64-bit Windows 8, had all the problems mentioned above, trying to install Laser Jet P1006.  Downloaded and installed Windows 7 64 bit P1006 drivers from HP web site, hp_LJ_P1005_Full_Solution_Row.exe, and ljP1000_P1500-HB-pnp-win64 - in .exe.  Had to install both in the order listed above, printer would not work with a driver in itself.  Printer works like a champ, can't install the new 64 bit drvr Win8 when (if) HP comes out with it.

Update: A worked well for a week, out of nowhere the same document is sent to print twice, one showing file size, a display 0 kb to the size of the file cannot be deleted 0 kb file without unplugging the printer and restart the computer.  May have to do with the installation of Office 2010. Back to the drawing board.

Update 2: after failing to uninstall driver, used HP print and Scan Doctor in order to get the docs on the queue, and how 'delete device '.  After that, couldn't find no port selected in "Print properties", I use the usb port 2, but was not yet registered, usb 1 was for my other printer (Lexmark).  Computer restarted, a second icon p1006 printer/device manager, was listed usb port 2 and was selected.  Printer worked.  Uninstalled first icon legacy p1006, unfortunately the two p1006 icons disappeared.  Computer restarted, windows detected printer and installed, p1006 icon reappeared in Device Manager, usb still selected as port 2.  At the moment the two printers work.  All I have to ' do now is of fig on the flag "yellow" on my pc modem... 8 windows aah.

    Also:
    1. recently installed Office 2010.  In previous versions of windows and Office, had a similar impression of the problems with the hp laserjet p1006 queued default printer.  The fix was to choose Microsoft XPS Document Writer as default, and then select the printer that I want to use in the program when I tried to print a document.  Even once just in case.
    2. having two HP printers (for example a deskjet and a laserjet) downloaded on your computer causes all sorts of problems of print queue.  Has to do with both printers using common files. HP has ever imagined a fix for what I know (haven't checked lately), so if you have an HP printer that is installed, and you want a second printer, you have to buy a different brand as Lexmark for your second printer printer.  Suppport from HP will talk about common files, but not on the installation of a different brand printer, then you will have to take my word for it that it works.

  • Inspiron One 2320 - factory restore / recovery outcome

    Hello

I bought the Inspiron One last year which has Windows 7 Professional pre-installed on it.

In my infinite wisdom, I decided to make a room upgrade to Windows 8.

My wife don't like Windows 8 and want to return to Windows 7 Pro.

The problem rears its ugly head when I go in the troubleshooting section > Advanced Options > System Image recovery

I get the report that there is system image.

Windows 8 wiped my hard drive factory backup image?

I'm counting on you my fellow COMPUTER geeks for the answer!

    Help

    Andrew

    Hi André,.

I understand that Windows 8 is a relatively new OS and might take a while to become familiar with. However, if you encounter problems using Windows 8, you can refer to the Windows 8 here for general support 'how to' articles of use page.

As you have upgraded to Windows 8, the recovery partition has been lost and you would not be able to go back to Windows 7 via the Image recovery. However, if you have created a recovery media factory at the time of the system configuration, you may be able to restore the system to factory settings using this media.

If you have not created a recovery media, the only way to get back to Windows 7 is to re - install the operating system using reinstallation disks.

Answer please if you have any other questions.

  • Windows 7 Pro (64 bit) has no install the AHCI Driver

When I built my current computer system in May 2011, I have not encountered this problem with installing 64-bit Windows 7 Pro on the new 500 GB Western Digital HARD drive.  In fact, I installed Win7 three times (to wipe the drive with DBAN after the first and second installs) before I was satisfied with the third installation.

Before the first installation, I configured the BIOS of card mother Gigabyte GA-890FXA-UD5 (Maj) SATA AHCI (with SATA 3.0) and copy the driver AHCI of CD Gigabyte on a SanDisk Cruzer USB (4 GB).  The GA-890FXA-UD5 (revision 2.1, version of the F6 BIOS) has an AMD chipset.

During each installation, the Win7 Installer reported that she could not find a HARD drive and offered the option to load a driver.  I used this option, and the installation program displays a dialog box with whom I sailed the Cruzer to select AHCI driver.  Each time, Setup loaded the driver with success smoothly.  Of course, I still have the installation of Microsoft Windows 7 Pro DVD, purchased with a full license of the retail.

Example: two years later, after that I started to meet various problems for which I could find no cause, no resolution, I suspected malware or corruption of the registry.  To make a long story short, eventually I decided to erase the internal HARD drive once again, after you save the data files on an external USB HDD.

Win7 Setup now follows the same routine, of course.  Except that now, it will fail to load the driver AHCI of the SanDisk Cruzer (!).  I've also removed the Win7 installation DVD, loaded the CD Gigabyte, sailed to the driver and selected.  The Win7 Installer is always not load.  In addition, before you run the Win7 Installer for other attempts, I connected the USB HDD external and sailed to a copy archived AHCI driver on it, but Win7 Setup could not load.  I have made many and repeated attempts, with all the storage media at hand, that contains a copy of the driver AHCI files, but not joy.

For what it's worth, I also ran the software on the repair disk I did shortly after installing Win7 Pro, and he couldn't load the driver AHCI of the SanDisk Cruzer with CD Gigabyte, respectively.

Then I reconfigured the BIOS of the motherboard to SATA IDE (with SATA 3.0) and rebooted the system.  You might think that Win7 Setup would have a suitable driver for the AMD SATA IDE, since she has one for the reader to optical disc Samsung DVD-Writer (obviously), but it did not find a HARD drive.  Then I sailed in the appropriate driver AMD x 64 on the CD of Gigabyte IDE files, but Setup cannot load it, too.

Question: why Windows 7 Pro 64-bit Setup does not install the driver AHCI, and what can I do about it?

    Hello

Thanks for posting your query on the Microsoft Community.

AHCI (Advanced Host controller) makes the NCQ (Native Command Files) with connection to warm or hot swapping through host controllers SATA Serial - ATA possible; Vista was the first to offer this feature. The problem with AHCI is that it must be enabled in BIOS before the installation of the OS. After installing the operating system will disable the PC. The reason why Windows disable the AHCI drivers not not needed during installation.

I suggest you activate the AHCI after installing the operating system if you already enable AHCI in the BIOS, when you installed the operating system.

Warning: This section, method, or task contains steps that tells you how to change the registry. However, serious problems can occur if you modify the registry incorrectly. Therefore, make sure that you proceed with caution. For added protection, back up the registry before you edit it. Then you can restore the registry if a problem occurs. 7. now you will need to reboot the PC and go into the BIOS and enable the AHCI. When Windows starts, it will finish installing the AHCI drivers.
    8. you will need a final restart to complete the process once the drivers are installed.

  • Tried the fix, still no tree to display in Windows 7 Pro (64-bit) folder

Windows 7 Pro (64 bit) on a new laptop HP dv7 Proliant. Windows Explorer is set to a display of libraries only. The classic file tree disappeared. The change means that I have to run two separate Windows Explorer instance if I want to move files from one folder to another.

I tried to selection of folder/organize and Search Options/view all files proposed in a previous answer to the problem, but still no display file tree. I also don't run Sfc - no problems found. So, is there a solution for this? Can I get the file tree view in Windows Explorer?

Note to the development team: libraries is the worst possible metaphor to treat files on a computer--especially for those who are still a little computer. In addition, forcing user files in folders on the disc of the operating system is a maddening practice which virtually ensures files will be lost when (not if) operating system crashes.

Have you tried actually organize / layout / Navigation pane?

Show all folders only too complicated the Navigation pane by inserting a bunch of folder in Favorites registration / uncheck show all folders.
