  If you are referring to your Mac, if you use Safari to access Instagram and Twitter, go in your Safari menu bar, click Safari > Preferences then select the Privacy tab, then click: delete all data of the website then quit and relaunch Safari and try Instagram and Twitter.

• Problems with mail and Safari re Adobe Flash

  I have a MacPro retinal mid 2012 and spin Yosemite 10.10.5.  Two or three days I had a popup on Safari re Adobe Flash is more [work] when I was in the middle of something. Since then, I've been doing almost no mail - usually get account notices and information bulletins, etc. - and Safari does not display a game that I play often. Opens its site, but the game is not.   I see the behavior where YouTube always comes back to Auto through all the browser, and it happens to both the Flash and HTML5 players.  I would recommend that you report the problem to YouTube.  We have a good working relationship with them, and their team of engineers will reach if it is indeed a problem of Flash.  From what I see, it's the behavior defined by YouTube.

• Positioning / scrolling problem Firefox and Safari

  I apparently inadvertently changed the CSS for my website www.truckeerotary.com. In IE7 pages are centered and when there is too long the page scrolls down. In Firefox and Safari, the page is pushed to the far left and locked in place. There are two style sheets used. Rotary.CSS and style.css

• getURL problem with Firefox and Safari

  I use getURL to GET and SEND on a named window. The window is the parent window of the pop-up window that contains the swf file.
  
  I checked if the window is named what I think it is, (I use javascript window.name = "myname" in the main window) and I use the name of the window in the getURL.
  
  Properly applies to the GET and messages to the window called when I use IE or Opera, but Firefox and Safari spawn new windows every time, instead.
  
  Is this a known problem, and is there a work around?

  It was a security issue. If the pop-up window and the main window are not in the same domain (which was the case here), Firefox and Safari won't let not the child window target parent. Instead, it creates a new window. I don't know why this would be considered to be best in terms of security, but it's what he does.

• Malicious adware/software has infected Chrome and Safari

  My exactly the same problem was discussed in another thread, but unfortunately the solutions did not work for me, so I'll try again.

  I'll try to be as detailed as possible, so I'll drop my question into several categories:

  My system

  • MacBook Pro (retina, 13 inches, end of 2013)
  • Processor: 2.4 GHz Intel Core i5
  • Memory: 8 GB 1600 MHz DDR3
  • Storage: 249,77 GB
  • Operating system: OS X El Capitan, Version 10.11.4

  The problem

  • Calendar: This problem has persisted for fifteen hours; I he didn't notice last night so I think it happened this morning, but I'm not sure if I'm being generous with the timing at 100%.
  • Chrome and Safari (both browsers I installed), some kind of malware is the insertion of hypertext links on specific words that link to the ads. Each unique ad is related to the s.igmhb.comurl. The words a hyperlink become all-cap, bold and italic with a green arrow at the upper right of each word in a hyperlink. Curiously, it doesn't seem to affect all Web pages, only a small number. It does not seem to be all rhyme or reason as to which sites it affects.
  • I have not installed or downloaded anything suspicious or out of the ordinary, so I have no idea where it comes from.

  

  
  

  What I've done so now

  • I immediately checked for any suspicious Chrome extensions because it is generally what is the problem, but cannot find anything. Then I went to Safari to see if it has also been hit, which is. This means that it is probably something that is in my system, not only in a browser.
  • I then ran a scan with Malwarebytes Anti-Malware, and it found a number of things. Quickly, I deleted the and restarted my computer. Unfortunately, the problem is still persistent.   Some legitimate software is funded by advertising and may display advertisements in its own windows or in a web browser while it is running. It's not malware and it may not appear. In addition, some Web sites display advertising intrusive popup that can be confused with adware.

  If none of your web browsers work well enough to carry out these instructions, restart the computer in safe mode. Allows to temporarily disable the malware.

  Step 1

  Follow the instructions in this support article under the heading "take a screenshot of a window." An image file with a name starting in 'Screenshot' should be saved to the desktop. Open the capture screen and make sure it is readable. If this isn't the case, capture a small part of the screen indicating that what needs to be shown.

  Start a reply to this message. Drag the image file in the editing window downloading. Alternatively, you can include text in the response.

  Leave the case open for now.

  Step 2

  Do as in step 1 with this line:

  The record which can open up will have the same name but is not the same as in step 1. In this step, the folder does not exist.

  Step 3

  Repeat with this line:

  /Library/LaunchDaemons

  This time the file will be called "LaunchDaemons."

  Step 4

  Open Safari preferences window and select the tab 'Extensions'. If the extensions are listed, post a screenshot. If there are no extensions, or if you cannot launch Safari, skip this step.

  Step 5

  If you use Firefox or Chrome browser, open the list of extensions and do as in step 4.

  I don't see why.  I have Office 2008 on my computer as well, and I had no problem using it in El Capitan.  Do a full time Machine backup of your system on an external hard drive, however, just in case.  Regarding AOL stuff, do you mean that the AOL site, right?  I can't imagine that you would have problems to access the AOL site after upgrading.
