RRBldrs,
Not knowing all the things you've tried so far is a few things to get started. Let me know if you did the or not.
Check your list of installed updates and check that the update does not already installed.
Clean boot of your PC, then try the update.
Download the KB directly on your desktop and then try to install.

original title: failed to get the security updates and critical update for Vista (KB2541763), to load for Vista
All the other updates, including security, for other Microsoft software will open (WIndows Explorer, Microsoft Office, etc.).
This seems to have started after downloading and installing McAfee on 6/17. Updates have been well before that date.
Service Pack 3 is installed.
All updates important/critical loading fine up until this date. I have 11 updates essential and important to load.
I totally removed McAfee from the PC, including the stage you purchase from McAfee for cleaning the system. Now run the ESET security suite.Hi Dan,.
Thanks for posting your question in the Microsoft answers Forum. Follow the troubleshooting steps in this thread for your problem with the 80070005 error. Alternatively, you can try to install the update in small groups to see if that fixes the problem.

Original title: update of security for Microsoft Office 2007 suites KB2596856.
Windows Vista. Update of security for Microsoft Office 2007 suites KB2596856. Update since August 15, 2012, repeatedly fails. Error reported are not. I tried Microsoft Fixit. Reports, he agreed, but didn't. Tried to disable the firewall in Kaspersky. No effect. Can anyone help?
I just received my post of October 8, taken over by you on 5 December and assume that your answer could not transmit. Thanks for the attempt and I would be grateful if you can get your answer for me. The current situation is that I stopped the repeated update and had no problems so I can live with the status quo. It may be that quite simply, the update did not apply to me or Microsoft have resolved anyway. Thanks again.

Updates for Office 2007 if displayed when it is not installed
I have a new install of Windows 7, that has never had office 2007 is installed. I have office 2010 installed. When I go to Windows Update it shows 8-10 different updates Office 2007 listed as important. Including the installation of Office 2007 SP2, which I certianly don't need. I know that I don't have to install, but it bothers me that they make their appearance and could in fact be necessary, even if I try hard to understand why.
Thanks in advance for any info.
Is the Office Word, Excel, or PowerPoint 2007 Viewer (s) Compatibility Pack installed?
The update of "Office 2007 SP2" named Microsoft Office 2007 Service Pack 2 or something else?

Windows wants to install updates for Office 2002 and Office XP and I have VISTA and Office 2007
I have read many topics and I can't seem to find the same problem I have. I use Windows VISTA Home Premium (32 bit) for awhile and since June 30, 2009, I had bad download and install Windows updates. I installed updates today, but I continue to be invited to run/install updates for Office XP and Office 2002 (currently about 9). I used VISTA and Office 2007 for some time. I believe that I have IE 7 and SP2. I appreciate any help I can get to fix this. Thanks in advance for your help.
Hello SKYisDlimit,
After my communication to you, I continued to the Internet using the search. I was finally able to locate the file you suggested (Msmapi\1033) he successfully Office Pro 2003 Outlook running. Thank you!!
I don't know if you're alone in asking the question following or not, but I'm still able to re - install Microsoft Office Professional 2007. I uninstalled after information I received of Santosh, and it has the re - install Office Pro 2003 (which have been upgraded). Now when I try to reinstall 2007 (bought in February 2007), I keep getting the following message: "Setup is unable to find a version of Microsoft Office on your computer. If Office is installed on a disk or a network share, click the buttun browse to select the appropriate disk or sharing. If you have a version of MB on a CD, insert the CD into your CD-ROM drive, and then click the Browse button to select the appropriate drive. »
I tried several times without success. Of course, I use Office 2003 Pro, so it's on the computer. If you are unable to solve this problem, please either direct to the appropriate area or tell me who I need to contact. Once again, thank you in advance for your help. Needless to say, it's more frustrating!

How can I prevent download in the first place but get the downloads I need?"Students and teachers 2007"'s a part of the 2007 Office Suite? For example does not part of Word of Office?

Receive updates for Office 2007 after uninstall
My computer came with a trial version of Office 2007. I uninstalled it in the coming days, having never actually used Office 2 k 7. I continue to receive important updates in Windows Update for Office 2007. I was just hiding them because there is no need to install, but the frequency of these updates, it is embarrassing for a product that I don't even have on my computer.
How can I stop Windows Update to download updates for Office 2007?
wanderr,
You have a different version of Office installed? If so, it is possible that some of the updates are also for an earlier version of Office and not only Office 2007. Here are some things that you might want to take a look at for help with this issue.Solve Windows Update installation issues

lose the office 2007 ultimate
Post any questions about the upgrade to Win7 in this forum, please: http://social.answers.microsoft.com/Forums/en-US/w7install/threads
That being said, Office 2007 should remain intact as long as you do an In-Place Upgrade, not a custom installation. See this chart: http://i.zdnet.com/blogs/windows-upgrade-chart-eb-remake-final3.png?tag=col1;post-1246

What particular updates for Office 2007 are available to you? Are they updates for spectators, or compatibility packs etc.?
