    Original title: I can't install iTunes 10.7 to Windows 7, 64-bit

I tried to install iTunes 10.7 on my computer, but it stops when the installation says: calculation of space requirements. Then he said only: "roll back the action", "installation failed." I don't know what is happening because I have more than 40 GB of free space on my hard drive. I also tried with an older version of iTunes, but it keeps doing the same thing.

You can not install itunes while another update that uses the microsoft windows (MSI) Setup program is running.

what you need to do is:
update of windows OS and restart.
install itunes to a partition with at least 250 MB of free space.

When you try to download itunes, download is stapped with a notice saying: "windows install is not marked on" how to find the windows on my PV Installer and turn it on?

Here's a solution: go to start / Control Panel / Administrative Tools / Services and select Windows Installer.  Double-click it to open it.  Make sure that it is set to automatic (change it if it's not).  If it is running, stop it and then restart it again.  If it is stopped, start it just.

If this does not work, try to run the Windows Installer Cleanup of http://www.softpedia.com/progDownload/Windows-Installer-CleanUp-Utility-Download-18442.html utility and see if that helps.  You may need to restart the service after you have done this, and you may also have to restart.

When you retry the installation, right-click on the executable installation file and click Run as administrator.  It is sometimes useful.

    I hope this helps.

    Hi T_868,

    1. you are trying to install itunes for the first time?

    2. have you made changes on the computer recently?

    3. What is the accurate and complete error message you get?

4 is that the problem is specific to the installation of itunes?

Here are the steps to install itunes on the xp computer:

1 - Go to the download page for iTunes, and then select the option "iTunes 10.2.1 for Windows XP, Vista or Windows 7" at the top of the page.

2 remove the checks of the 'write to me on iTunes news and offers special iTunes' and 'Keep Me Up to Date with Apple News' boxes if you do not want to receive e-mail from Apple.

3 - Click on the button "Download now". The site provides a field where you can enter your e-mail address, but you can leave the field blank. Save the utility installation on the desktop iTunes.

    4. open "iTunesSetup.exe" when the download is complete. After a moment, a window titled "iTunes + QuickTime" appears. Click "Next".

5 - Click on the radio button at the bottom of the window to indicate your acceptance of the license terms for the software from Appleand then click "Next".

6 - click on "install" to complete the installation of iTunes on the computer. The computer may take a few minutes to complete the download, copy and install the data files for iTunes and QuickTime.

7 - click 'Finish' to begin to use iTunes when the Setup utility displays a "congratulations" message
