Install W7 successful A61E - BIOS level

Anyone out there successfully updated the BIOS of the A61/A61E to the latest version (2ZTKT44b)?

However someone has W7 (32) running with 2ZKT40AUS BIOS level?

No help forthcoming on this.  I'm very nervous about doing an upgrade of the BIOS because of the slew of messages on this forum about all the failures of the A61 models BIOS upgrades.  There must be something inherently wrong with the A61/A61e models as it appears that no one has done a successful upgrade. I was hoping a moderator or an administrator could said that earlier problems has been resolved, but there is not. I can only assume that if I upgrade, I get a system dead instead of a working W7 system.

Help, please. I'm ready to do the upgrade of the BIOS.     Should I or not?

I flashed successfully the last BIOS (2ZKT44B) today to my A61E.  I never received the 'Flashing Complete' message so I was very worried that he had not worked. The Lenovo instructions expressly state that it must wait for the message then press F1 (and not stop until that appears this msg).   I received the message "has ended normally.  I waited 30 minutes... nothing... then I hit F1... nothing.

As nothing was happening I hit power OFF... powered by pressing F1... and the BIOS showed the new version, so I click on SAVE/ESC. Started to Vista and I opened the Toolbox of Lenovo, performed a scan of material and he ran clean. I've been open applications and using the internet, so it seems that everything is fine.

I can move to W7 now.

NB: I found a replacement program for WIN/DVD 5 (Ashampoo Studio 2010... excellent alternative Burner).
