Install Win XP not Presario F500

I have a Compaq Presario F500. I want to install Win XP but I can't find any drivers. Can you tell me where I can find all the drivers for my pc?

Thank you very much.

Max Pozzi

Try this modded driver and installation instructions:

Conexant High Definition SmartAudio 221 drivers (ModelC700, Vx5xx series and dvx5xx and ABOVE )

Pilot modded by silver here

Unzip it to a folder... Use the device, right click "Audio Device on HD" Manager, choose Update driver,
Not to connect, install from a list or specific location,
Select don't search, I will choose the driver to install.
For the hardware Type select 'show all devices '.
Remove control "Show compatible hardware" and click on 'disk '.
Next... Navigate to the unzipped folder and choose the "WiSVHe5.inf".
Ignore XP when he complains, Reboot.

  • Cannot install Win 8 - Satellite Pro C660 does not detect HARD drive

    Hello

My HARD drive died, so I decided to upgrade my Satellite Pro C660 - 1 9 to an SSD.
I made a USB bootable with Win8 and starts very well.

The problem is that it does not detect my SSD, so I can proceed with the installation.
SSD appears in BIOS but not in Windows Installer.
He said that there is a missing driver.

I downloaded the AHCI drivers (XP, only ones available) and even in this case, after you have selected the only rider that appears, it says no new device found.

I tried to change the SATA from AHCI mode to compatibility mode and it's the same thing...

    What can I do?

    Thanks for the help.
    Best regards
    Bruno Moreira

More old Windows XP need a driver AHCI Intel's but I think this isn't a problem with SATA driver missing because as far as I know Windows 8 as well as Win 8.1 already contains the drivers to recognize the SSD or HARD disk drive.
In addition, the installation of the OS should be possible even if the driver would be added for this procedure, you must use the "compatibility" mode
As you say, the compatibility mode is not working too, so I think there is another problem.

However, page driver Toshiba also provides a driver Intel RST (Intel Rapid Storage Technology) (Windows 8 - updated) you can try to add during the installation of the OS.

But I m wondering if you would be able to install this Win 8 on common SATA HDD.
Have you tried to format the SSD using a different computer, then install Win 8?
    Give it a try.

Hi I have just upgraded to Windows 10 on my L670-12J and the camera not working anymore. I tried to search for a driver Win 10, but I have found none.
Also some of the function keys don't work anymore and of course the tab that opens at the top of the screen has disappeared also.
I install a software to check for driver updates associated with win 10, but he has not identified a problem or a driver for the camera.
    Can anyone help please.

I also had same problem with cam,

    finally found the solution-

go to the devices-> update driver software Manager (on cammera, eventually showed as unknown device, to actually figure on which we're cammera)-> browse my computer for driver-> let me pick from a list of device drivers on my computer-> pick chicony usb 2.0 cammera, he'll give warning that this driver might not be compatible ignore the warning, the camera work...

Unfortunately, it does not work. The HARD drive is not found. .

Please check these Toshiba forum discussions:

You must install the Intel Matrix Storage first Manager by using the external USB FDD drive.
If you don t have an external USB FDD drive and then use a freeware program called nLite.

If you n t know how to use the program nLite then google a bit. There are enough websites that explain how to use the nLite.

    Hello

Have you changed the boot order?

You need to change the Boot order to make the DVD/CD drive 1st in the boot order and boot from the Windows 7 DVD:

How to change the Boot order in BIOS:

    http://pcsupport.about.com/od/fixtheproblem/SS/bootorderchange.htm

Do install a cleaning, removal of the existing XP partition and create a new partition to install 7 on in the own installation process:

  • Re-installed Win XP x 64 on V2000 (V2718WM) Audio, modem and mass storage drivers, do not settle

I had to re - install (Win XP x 64) operating system on my computer laptop V2000 (V2718WM), but each attempt to install the multi media audio controller fails and the PCI modem driver and the mass storage controller.  Are those displayed on this site even good drivers?  I was pulling my hair out for the past two weeks, what don't get me?

    The device ID's for the three missing drivers are;

    PCI\VEN_1002 & DEV_4370 & SUBSYS_3091103C & REV_02\3 & 13C0B0C5 & 0 & A5

    PCI\VEN_1002 & DEV_4378 & SUBSYS_3091103C & REV_02\3 & 13C0B0C5 & 0 & A6

    PCI\VEN_104C & DEV_8033 & SUBSYS_3091103C & REV_00\4 & 13826118 & 0 & 4BA4

It worked for audio... I now have her again.  Thank you thank you thank you.

The PCI Modem... I don't know what happened.  The manual method would not move the proposed file, or another one who was in the same folder.  Two attempts returns the error message saying the driver was incompatible with this machine, and then I could not continue from there.  "However, as I argued I received a third option to install a Modem 'Agree systems AC' 97", and for lack of anything else to try, I gave it a shot.  The yellow question mark is now disappeared from the Device Manager, which now says that the drive is installed and functional propely.  I can't understand why I got the third option, but right now I'm a happy camper... everything works.  Thank you

I will now try to find the ability to mark this one resolved.  Thank you

  • Pure install Win Vista x 86 HP KB2079403, KB2479943, KB2536275 (fail 0x800B0100) and KB2536275 (not 0x8007065E)

Clean instal Win Vista x 86 HP on new SSD now in SP2. The material is a Medion Q6600 on mother MSI7366 and NVidia GeForce 9300GS map.

Will not install KB2079403, KB2479943, KB2536275 (fail 0x800B0100) or KB2536275 (not 0x8007065E).  Suggestions how to proceed?

I tried each individually - how know one gives what error.

Run Update Readiness Tool and it says everything is OK. You run MS Baseline Security analyze and downloaded packages individual but can not understand the correct syntax to invoke manually by hand using pkgmgr. I'm stuck with a new installation of Vista precarious missing 4 critical fixes :(

I could go back and start from scratch, but I think I'll finish exactly in the same place again. Have also tried AV scans of bootable CD made on another system of trust and found no evidence of malicious software with three different products.

Is it possible to get the best diagnosis of update of windows beyond "failed with unknown cryptic error."

Any ideas what these patches have in common, which causes them to fail on my kit?

    Thank you

    Martin Brown

Thank you very much! These well made the case.

I had not had as much as to put on an AV so that it was not to blame. I have no idea why Windows Update had taken against these specific fixes - they work OK on the hard drive.

They all performed successfully, according to the newspaper.  But I came to be stuck with a 'respect' in the automatic mode of updates for the last KB2536275 tag applied. He thinks that the patch should always be applied (and running it still does not work).

Correction - it takes the system a heck of a lot of time to notice that the patch is applied and removed from the list (at least 2 reboots and the time it took me to write this letter) to do. Now, everything is good on the SSD and a nice green checkmark shows that there are no outstanding update!

Thanks again it was exactly what I need.

BTW How did you find these .msu files? When I went before all I could find were cryptic and opaque. CAB files with names absolutely inpenetrable, my question at the beginning was to know how to apply them as pkgmgr syntax is not really obvious from the help page.

They are much more user friendly they are autonomous and run after the download.

I bought a new Qosmio in Ukraine... has been installed XP in Russian, can understand any word. So, back to Istanbul I asked Microsoft about licensing and learned that I have to buy XP Pro additional English (the Russian pre-installed XP is not accepted by Microsoft).

So I spent another $180 for the XP Pro English license. But I can't install it on the laptop. Toshiba must raise all of the idiots who built such a stupid computer. Somehow XP says that there is no hard drive in the unit. It's amazing. The laptop is dependent on language...

    Hi guys

@aydinz: it's a simple fact that the Windows operating system has been pre-installed in the same language are the unit was delivered. If you buy the laptop in Ukraine the OS language is Russian, and if you buy the laptop to the United Kingdom if the OS is in English.

@CarbonXer: I put t know what Setup you use, but usually the drive HARD must be formatted before you start the OS installation procedure. If you do not want XP Home, why do you install another operating system on the unit?

  • Difficult to update and download of Windows Vista on Compaq Presario F500 laptop...

Hello everyone, I have a model old laptop (compaq presario F500 GF593UA #ABA) and I have complications download something on the net. Whenever I try to download something he always says that he stop working or the file has not been signed. Also, I can't update or the other - it downloads updates whenever it crashes while trying to install. Sometimes, it crashes as soon as the update reminder appears in the system tray. I tried almost everything imaginable, but I can't seem to stop crashing during updates are enabled. I can't download anything either, but I can run files that I downloaded from my other computer. I even disabled the pilots I thought that maybe something to do with it and still the same events occur. I disabled autuning, ran several diagnostics - one who says something about TC or something of this nature should be activated so I clicked on that and he says that the problem had been resolved. After I pedaled again power the machine, the same thing. Can someone please? I am running windows vista home basic 32-bit

  • Presario F500: Have no WiFi on Presario F500

I am using Presario F500 for a few years. A year ago I started to install Windows 7 32 bit on this computer, and it worked very well.

However, 1 month ago my wireless connection just disappeared, and light orange. No connection icon in the network connections wireless network, no wireless card detected in Device Manager, as shown below:

    What I did:

-Check to see if I accidentally turned it off (and I didn't)

    -Troubleshooting

-Uninstall and reinstall the drivers (sp53261.exe and sp44923.exe). When I tried to install sp53261 (driver Atheros), he kept saying "" adapt 802.11a/b/g/n wireless device not found. " the device may not be present or could have been ejected/disconnected from the system,"to which I went to the next attempt.

    -Replace the new wifi card

-Uncheck "allow the computer to turn off this device to save power".

Nothing has worked. I searched the Internet solutions, or cases similar (many. It seems Presario series have in common) and I tried all of them.  I only got disappointment. Now I have given up on me, please, Support HP, help me to fix this miserable and frustrating.

    You are the very welcome.

If you don't want to buy an external USB wireless adaptor for your, then Yes, it's time to replace your laptop.

Unless the motherboard is replaced with a good one, the laptop's internal wireless will never work again.

I have a portable dv6810us (essentially the same hardware as yours), and I'm waiting for my wireless to quit.

I don't use it much, so it can last a little longer.
