  I see that you are wanting to install Windows 7 on your HP laptop - 15-ac628tu. Here's the driver page for your HP for laptop - 15-ac628tu which is already preset to Windows 7 drivers available for your laptop. You will need to use your own copy of Windows CD if you bought Microsoft or another provider to install it on your laptop.

  Then, you can use the drivers from the driver for HP page.

  After making 1 million bugs (feels like it) very many articles and posts about how to solve the problems of Windows 10 update, I finally got 10 Windows installed on my husband's laptop computer.  There is only one problem: it will not accomplish a restart after a reboot.  It will restart after power on power off and back on.  I hope someone might have a fix for this.  I read that Dell says that this laptop is not compatible with Win 10.  My husband swears that he said not Microsoft go ahead with the upgrade and we discovered it was true for many other users as well.

  I've done the following hotfixes: reinstall an updated driver for the graphics card, uninstalled any software that generated errors in Windows (such as HP Support Framework) event log, changed a number of Services to be manual startup (like Malware Bytes, which is not running antivirus software, however, I use it to scan the computer for viruses) has increased the permissions on the folder Windows reinstalled Win 10 using CD created by Windows Media Creator, off the restart quickly in the power settings, uninstalled the IDT Audio driver, ran sfc/scannow and DISM/Cleanup-Image Scanhealth online and probably more.

  I'm sorry that startup repair does not solve the problem with your computer. Don't forget, you mentioned in the first post that "Dell said this laptop is not compatible with Win 10", it is unfortunately true. Please click on the link below and see for yourself.

  As much as I know, only Windows Update cannot be run in safe mode. That being said, I saw where install several updates may conflict with each other. Try to disable all updates installation and install the updates failed one at a time.
