I tried most product key on Internet finders and they all give me the product key for Pro 8.1.

Thank you

Hello

You have a limited license timed on Pro 8.1?

You will need to install Windows 8 clean (remove all) and it should pick up the key in
installation.

Guys, good evening to all the same time.

I get out of this crazy short, I ask humbly help.

    I explain my problem:

I have a Mac Pro (early 2008), with RAID CARD MEDIA

He does not then I "gave" to my mother who must use windows for work.

I'm out all 4 disks in RAID installed and mounted 2 - SSD OCZ Agility 256 GB.

one of them is installed OSX Yosemite. on the other hand, I want to install WINDOWS.

    and here the problems begin:

When I insert the win8.1 to proceed installation standard dvd (EFI not talked since the beginning of 2008), I get, when I have to decide on which disk to install and format windows, does not reveal the installed drives

After 2 days of tweaking, I was able to understand that this is a problem due to the RAID card installed, I also read that you just remove it and connect the SSD in one of the two doors empty ODDsata (and not in the 4 planned the raid card slots)

but still does not see the attached HDD / SSD, so keep trying and I think it's a driver problem and I need to install the AHCI driver, now, I'm pretty Nerd, but I still can't get.

If you remove the card RAID Apple on the Mac, you MUST connect the iPass cable on its location on the motherboard, or all four bays are unusable:

  • Cannot install windows on Satellite Pro A40

Hi I read through all the posts and I can't seem to find an answer.

    My problem is that...

I tried to install windows from a full version and when I want to install windows on a partition it fails. If I try to delete the partition, it fails. If I use the recovery discs - Option 1 not entered completely load - looks like Gdisk? error and then a ghost. Option 2 loads but when I go again to install fails.

I can't find an option in the bios to prevent disk access - as a protection against boot viruses. the key under the keyboard, I tried in both positions.

I removed the battery to see if it is a power problem.

I tried using the options of recovery in win xp - but cannot access the drive

The really strange thing is over the option of recovery disks 2 - the size of the disk is larger than the actual size of about 1/3?

The system initially went down while it is connected to the internet - the only option I can thing of is a power surge came down the line and has damaged the motherboard or hard drive. As it happened to a desktop system - blew 3 modems and a UPS before we have located the problem.

    Hello

tried to check and format the drive with an external tool? I'll give you a suggestion: try the "ultimate boot cd" which has many tools also some tools for the maintenance of hard drives.

You can get the picture here: http://www.ultimatebootcd.com/

Just burn it to a CD, boot and choose the tool for your hard drive to check it out and repartition it.

    It could be that useful...

    Hello;

Let me welcome you on the HP forums!

I read your post on Win8.1 drivers and wanted to help.

For Win8x, the Home and Pro versions only see different features that come with each of two Windows versions.

The drivers for all versions of Win8.1 are the same.

    Good luck

I'm a volunteer and I do not work for, or represent, HP.

  • Validity Sensor does not not in dv7t - 6 c 00 CTO Quad Edition using Windows 8.1 Pro 64-Bit

    Hello

    I have a Pavilion dv7 (dv7t - 6 c 00) CTO Quad Edition (product # A1L77AV) I can't get the validity fingerprint sensor to work after installing Windows 8.1 Pro 64-Bit from scratch.

Windows 8 drivers that are available for this model do not seem to work. Other drivers Windows 8.1 available in the HP site do not seem to work either.

The unit shows in the management of the computer as a work, I guess by using a Microsoft Driver. The Unit presents itself as "validity sensors (WBF) (PID = 0018)' in the biometric devices topic."

    Any help will be appreciated.

    Thank you

Hello SauveDuro, welcome to the Forums of HP.

I see you are trying to install the drivers for the fingerprint reader on the laptop for Windows 8.1, you've seen questions get this working.

Unfortunately, HP does not drivers for Windows 8.1 for your laptop.

The most I can recommend in this case, check the manufacture of each component for Windows 8.1-compatible drivers.  Here's a link of validity, you may be able to get drivers that work for him: http://www.validityinc.com/software/hp/wbf.php.

This can also help you to: Troubleshooting a (Windows 8) fingerprint reader.

Sorry for the inconvenience that this may cause. I hope that something can help you.
Thanks for posting on the HP Forums.

  • Cannot install windows 7

Hello. So I bought the Acer E5 - 527G - 77BU. I installed windows 8.1 Pro without problem. But I really dislike this window, and I want to install Windows 7. But when I plug in the DVD or USB stick with windows, I don't get the option to boot to it (in the f12 boot menu). If I put in the DVD of 8.1 win everything is fine. I can chose from the menu. I'd appreciate your help. Thank you!

You can set the BIOS to use Legacy instead of UEFI and disable start-up secure if the option is available.

  • HP ENVY 700-000z Desktop PC with 8 and the need to know if I can install Windows 7

Just bought HP ENVY 700-000z Desktop PC equipped with 8 and need to know if I can install Windows 7 on this computer without problem.  My work does not allow the use of Windows 8.  If I can install Windows 7, what version of operating system do I need to buy to do a clean install.

If I understand correctly, I could order the Windows 8 Pro, who has right to demotion and then install Windows

7 pro, I have then I should be able to get the drivers, I need HP is correct.

    WARNING *.

HP does not recommend installing Windows 7 on a computer comes with Windows 8, and it will support the installation of Windows 7. HP doesn't provide drivers for Windows 7 and the appropriate drivers are not available for the hardware in the computer. In addition, Windows 7 can not take in charge some of the hardware or software designed for the computer.

Make sure you create your media recovery HP or USB Flash Recovery discs before you edit or change anything.

    You should ENABLE 'Secure Boot' and maybe 'Legacy Support' in the 'BIOS Setup boot secured' on the settings page below, before you try to install Windows 7;

    or

In addition, as the hard drive is partitioned as TPG, you must start the computer by using the "UEFI - CD/DVD drive" in the start menu "F9". If "UEFI - CD/DVD drive" or something to that effect does not exist in the start menu, please post a screenshot and/or make startup listed options.

I suggest using Windows 7 SP1 for the best installation experience. If you need Windows SP1, see 'How to install Windows 7 without the disc' to download and create your own. If the DVD does not start as UEFI, you may need to use a USB Flash drive (can ask "Quick start" DISABLING in BIOS) as the installation media. Please download the Windows 7 USB/DVD download tool to create a Windows 7 SP1 USB Flash drive.

Most of the Windows 7 drivers from the drivers of HP Pavilion p7-1299 c desktop PC page should work on your desktop HP ENVY 700 - 000z CTO. Both models use a variant of the motherboard HP Jasmine. If you have missing or unknown devices after installing the drivers, please post the "Hardware ID" Device Manager for devices as shown in the example below.

If you have any other questions, feel free to ask.

  • Install Windows 8.1 64 bit on Latitude E6510

    Hello forum,.

I failed repeatedly to install Windows 8.1 Pro 64 bit on my Latitude E6510 (from July 2010). Windows 7 Pro 32 bit was preinstalled, when I bought the laptop. As I've recently updated the 3 to 8 GB RAM, I would use a 64 bit system now.

I tried to boot from the installation DVD and windows flag is displayed. After a few seconds, a message on blue background: ": (your PC) has encountered a problem." We collect certain information and then we will restart it for you. "It's the message, as FAS as I can remember. It appears only for a second, and then the computer restarts automatically. I have no chance to enter an installation menu.

I tried an update of the A03 BIOS to the latest version A16 without success. Boot mode is set to legacy at the present time, I also tried UEFI temporarily, without change...

    Any help would be appreciated.

I finally solved this problem by replacing my new 8 GB of RAM with 3 GB old RAM modules that were previously installed when I bought the laptop. Subsequently, Windows 8.1 boots without fault of the DVD.

I really don't know how these two things can be combined between them, but maybe this message can be useful, if someone has the same problem in the future.

  • Need help to install Windows 8.1 on the partition, bootcamp on Macbook Pro 15 "mid-2010 w / no optical drive"

I tried for almost a week in all possible ways to get windows installed on a boot camp partition on my main SSD 1 TB drive as a partition, or on my HARD drive, which is installed in place of the optical drive.  So far, everything I tried to give me some sort of error at some point in the process.  It seems that many of them are case by case, so I thought that I invite you all and see if you can help!

I use a Macbook Pro 15 "mid-2010 that I improved with a 1 TB SSD drive as the startup disk.  My optical drive was not functional, so I moved my old 500 GB HARD drive to the location of the optical Bay.  I am also under the latest version of El Capitan (10.11.6)
    Here are my system specs:

    Presentation of the material:

    Model name: MacBook Pro

    Model identifier: MacBookPro6, 2

    Processor name: Intel Core i7

    Processor speed: 2.8 GHz

    Number of processors: 1

    Total number of cores: 2

(By heart) L2 Cache: 256 KB

    L3 Cache: 4 MB

    Memory: 8 GB

Processor speed of interconnection: 4.8 GT/s

    Boot ROM version: MBP61.0057.B11

Version of the SCM (System): 1.58f17

What I tried (from what I remember):

I tried to change the Bootcamp info.plist file for my version of the macbook pro to use a USB stick for the installer.  It seems to have installed correctly but once I partition the disk and restart the computer, it gets stuck on a white screen with the Apple logo and I am forced to make a hard stop and then hold down option to boot into OS X, recovery, or the EFI Boot.

If I go through the windows installation to start the EFI system, I get an error of:
"Windows cannot be installed to this disk.  The selected disk is a MBR partition table.  On EFI systems, Windows cannot be installed on GPT disks. »

I also tried to create a partition by using disk utility, and that too made me an error in the installation of windows.

So far, the only way that I'm away from windows to run at all has been using the free trial of VMware Fusion 8... but I intend to use windows for more intensive tasks like audio pro, and merger simply does not offer the performance necessary to run these programs.  I'm hoping to install windows 8.1 on my internal SSD or HARD drive, regardless of the work - as long as OS X and files associated with it are left alone.

If someone could help me please understand this point, I would really appreciate it!

    Thank you

If your computer has an optical drive, you must use the optical drive to install Windows using Boot Camp Assistant.

  • Cannot install Windows 8 on retina Macbook Pro 2011

I try to install and run Windows 8 on my Macbook Pro 15 "retina end 2011 with OS 10.10.5."

I read a ton of forums, and they say all get a Windows 8 ISO from Microsoft Web site. I did it.

Then, they say get a Virgin USB key and plug it in. I did, and I put the ISO on my USB external drive.

Then he said: open Boot Camp Assistant, what I do, but then it does not match what say all forums. When I open the Boot Camp Assistant, he goes to the Introduction page. I click CONTINUE and the next page says SELECT TASKS. The only two available tasks are to "Download the latest software from Apple support" or "install Windows 7 or later.

I select both, it asks me to select my destination drive, what I do, then click "CONTINUE".

It downloads the Windows support software.

Then I get an error message that says "Installer disc cannot is, wait a few minutes for something (I forget exactly).»

So I wait and nothing happens and I'm back on the screen SELECT TASK.

    ANY HELP MUCH APPRECIATED.

You cannot use a USB on Mac 2011 Installer. Please burn the ISO on a physical DVD Windows (a DVD - R Carbon SL on the rate of burning slower is better) and use it to install Windows. The file Info.plist changes only allowing the creation of USB, but does not fully support a USB Installation.
