Install XP on the new drive with no CD player!

My drive hard netbook was crushed just out of warranty and I na not create a recovery disk.  For the new hard drive that I have to buy a new windows XP complete, or I can download a file init or something to run from my portable CD player or flash drive and just use my product code XP for installation?

Help!

If you can find someone with the exact same OEM disc for their netbook, you can make a copy on a USB stick and install it. But you'll need your product key. If you can't find the exact OEM copy, you will need to purchase a commercial XP version, IF you can find one.

    YES!

I just did mine 01/01/2016, installed a new WD 500 GB HDD black on my laptop ASUS K52F, took my DVD 4 restore disks and restored to Win 7 Home Premium, more 10 Windows, which is sitting on my old HDD in the trash. I'll stick with my Original OEM OS and never improve to WIN 10 times.

NOTE: The only time the restore disks do not work is when you replace your motherboard.

I found the product key of the old drive, but when I enter it on the new one it always says that it is not authentic. • How to install windows on the new drive?

    Hello

I have a HP Pavilion dv7-3080, which came with Windows7. Now, I bought a 120 GB SSD. I tried to install Windows on the SSD by selecting Factory Reset. However, I get the message that the size of the hard drive has changed and that's why I can't use Factory Reset.

Is there a way how can I use the Windows7 that came with my laptop and install this on my new drive!

To my knowledge, I am not break everything right since Windows7 came with the laptop and was part of the price I paid for the laptop.

    Kind regards

    Sja785

    Hello:

Partitions or recovery discs do not work on a smaller hard drive.

You need to install a simplified version of windows 7 on your SSD. You will not break the laws or rules of license by using the product key on the bottom of the PC to activate the installation.

However, if you can not read all 25 characters of the product key you are flat out of luck and will have to buy a new operating system.

Here's how to make your own simple Windows 7 installation disc if you have not already.

If you can read the Microsoft windows 7 25-character product key, you can download simple Windows 7 ISO files to burn on a DVD for the version of windows that is installed on your PC, and which is listed on the Microsoft COA sticker on your PC case.

Burn the ISO with the option to burn the ISO on your DVD burning program and burn it at the slowest possible speed that will allow your program. This will create a bootable DVD.

Or use the installation of Windows 7 USB/DVD tool to compile the ISO file that you download from Digital River. Link and instructions below. You need a 4 GB flash drive to use the USB compilation method.

    http://www.microsoftstore.com/store/msstore/HTML/pbPage.Help_Win7_usbdvd_dwnTool

Use 25 characters on the PC product key to activate the installation.

The key will activate a 32 or 64 bit installation.

Then go to the support of the PC and driver page to install the drivers you need.

Link to downloads ISO of W7 is below.

  • Install windows on the new drive

I replaced my hard drive as old one stopped working, I had windows 7 Home Edition premium on the old, can I install it on the new hard drive otherwise that having to buy it because it's come on the computer when I brought and I have no install disc or anything. Thank you

The original system would have a utility to create discs in particular that it was not provided with all, manufacturers were required to give one or another recovery option.

Some PC manufacturers can provide this set of diskettes of missing recovery, but at a cost. If the COA label is readable, it should be possible to download the ISO installation to match the version that is named on the label.

  • I was referred to this site. Problems with installing Windows on the new drive.

    Greetings!

I just installed a new hard drive on my Mini 311 1037. I bought the HP recovery discs. The operating system is Windows 7 Home Premium (I guess it was the correct operating system for that computer). The installation seemed fine, but after installing the drivers, I get the message, "Windows Setup could not configure windows to run on a hardware on this computer."  Then after the restart, after the initial windows screen, I get a message that says "Windows cannot complete the installation. To install Windows on this computer, run the Setup again. "I atempted to iireinstall 3 times. All diagnostic tests are good: the hard drive, the memory. I have no idea what to do next. Help, please?

If you can read the Microsoft Windows 7 of 25-character license key, you can download a Windows 7 ISO file to burn to a DVD or USB flash drive. The version must match that's installed on your PC as shown on the sticker COST Microsoft fixed on the bottom of the laptop. Like Windows Home Premium.

Links to downloads of Windows 7 ISO files:

    http://www.mydigitallife.info/official-Windows-7-SP1-ISO-from-Digital-River/

Use the installation of Windows 7 USB/DVD tool to convert the ISO file you download. Link and instructions below. You need to a DVD + R or DVD - R. Or a flash drive 4 GB to use the USB method.

    http://www.microsoftstore.com/store/msusa/HTML/pbPage.Help_Win7_usbdvd_dwnTool#installation

Use 25 characters on the COA key to activate the installation.

The key will activate a 32 or 64 bit installation.

Then, go to the page support and driver to install the drivers you need.

  • System recovery disks, do not install it on the new drive SDD

    Hello

I have updated the HARD original SDD disk disk drive.
First of all, I cloned the old drive and installed the image but then the updates of windows would not work.

Looking at all the forums and I tried everything I read, but updates still did not work.

Finally formatted the drive and then used the original system restore disks that work fine on the old hard drive but Windows end retsarting continuously after all 3 disks installed.

He tried to finish the installation but then gets and error and restarts and loops just over and over again.

Is this something to do with the 4 k sectors?
    Do I need other drivers?
How can I factory reinstall my Windows 7 disc new SSHD?

    Thank you

    Hello

    > Finally formatted the drive and then used the original system restore disks that work fine on the old hard drive but end Windows restarts continuously after all 3 installed drives

Generally, the Toshiba recovery disks should install Toshiba image on the new HARD drive or disc SSD and the unit should start correctly.

To be honest, I'm not very well why the laptop keeps restarting after the installation of m.
But I guess it has something to do with the partitions and sizes of the partitions.

Is that the Toshiba recovery disks would format the drive HARD (or SSD) and create the same partitions and sizes of the partitions.

In case the installation of the system would not work by using the recovery discs, I would recommend you trying to install the system by using the Microsoft Windows CD clean. The essential drivers may be downloaded from the Toshiba UE driver page.

  • Satellite C660 - how to install Windows on the new drive?

I have an old C660 of 14 months (2 months warranty!) and the HARD drive died quite suddenly.

    * 3 days works great
    * 2 days, got stuck at the "starting Windows".
    * Tried to fix with a System Repair (DVD) boot disk, but could not solve the problem (ran all night)
    * Start of DVD today and now the prompt of commands, each command "dir" on c: takes 20 seconds and try to copy files gives IO error.

I'm going to buy a new HARD drive and install, but is there a way to get Windows 7 on the drive?
There is no Windows disk supplied with the notebook... THERE is a recovery partition, but it died too.

I don't want to buy a new copy of Windows when I already have a license.

(I never have a backup complete incl. system, like the one and the only time that I tried to do that it was unable to complete the process, killing of many Virgin DVD-R in the process).
I have most of my personal files backed up.

    Thank you

The situation is quite clear. You don t have created the recovery disk and you have only two options now:
    (1) you can order the original Toshiba Recovery disk and install the original recovery image
    (2) you can get the original installation disc from Microsoft and install own OS

In the first case, check it please http://aps2.toshiba-tro.de/kb0/TSB0202TA0000R01.htm

If you take the decision to use option 2 Please note that your product key is useless and you have to pay for the new activation of license and the code. The sticker product key Microsoft belongs to the recovery image only.

If you have any other questions you are welcome.

  • Inspiron 17R cannot install windows on the new drive

I have an Inspiron 17R SE 7720 with a dead 1 t HARD and the 32 GB SSD drive. The hard drive is a loss total and out of warranty, so I have to install Windows on a new hard drive.

I don't have a recovery disk so I install Windows 8.1 since an original DVD I ordered from Microsoft, some time ago.

My problem is that the laptop is not considered to be able to boot from the DVD. I get a message "No operation system Found."

I changed the startup list in the BIOS to first have the DVD. I tried f12 to choose the DVD to start but nothing works. I checked the disc in another computer and it's good.

I read something on the problems causing mSATA SSD and also on the Intel Rapid Storage is a problem.

Please help if you can, I need the laptop for school.

  • My Hard Drive crashed and I have no disk Vista to install vista on the new driver

If my hard drive internal on my desktop Hp pavilion fried. After getting a new, comfortable, I now need to install vista. When I originally bought the computer the drive didn't come with it, when I asked if I could have, they said to call the guy, and if I have my product key I will be ok... problem is, a. it seems that questions of others who is not a solution, (b) I can't find a number to call and responds properly to my problems , and c. microsoft don't stop trying to charge me, something that I want is unfair if I already paid for the product.

No solution, I'd love to hear, thank you

All support for your computer comes from the manufacturer of your computer, not Microsoft.

How to get Vista recovery Media.

There is no Vista free download legal available.

    http://h10025.www1.HP.com/ewfrf/wc/contacthp?LC=en&DLC=en&cc=au

Contact your computer manufacturer and ask them to send a recovery disk/s Vista set.

Normally, they do this for a cost of $ small.

Or borrow a good Microsoft Vista DVD (not Dell, HP, etc).
A good Vista DVD contains all versions of Vista.
The product key determines which version of Vista is installed.

There are 2 disks of Vista: one for 32-bit operating system, and one for 64-bit operating system.

If install a cleaning is required with a good DVD of Vista (not HP, Dell recovery disks):

Go to your Bios/Setup, or the Boot Menu at startup and change the Boot order to make the DVD/CD drive 1st in the boot order, then reboot with the disk in the drive.

At the startup/power on you should see at the bottom of the screen either F2 or DELETE, go to Setup/Bios or F12 for the Boot Menu

  • You can use the new driver with an older version of db?

Does anyone know if you can use the 11.2.0.2.0 new driver on an older version of the database, such as for example the 10g?

The official JDBC faq is here (as of today, at least)
    http://www.Oracle.com/technetwork/database/Enterprise-Edition/JDBC-FAQ-090281.html#02_02

    He states:
11.1.0 JDBC drivers can talk to RDBMS
    11.2.0
    11.1.0
    10.2.0
    10.1.0
    9.2.0
    version 9.0.1

What JDBC drivers supported versions of Oracle database?
11.2.0 JDBC drivers can talk to RDBMS
    11.2.0
    11.1.0
    10.2.0
    10.1.0
    9.2.0
    version 9.0.1

So basically the latest driver can "talk" to what after 8i. In addition, g 10 drivers are not available for Java 6 (which has been around for a while now).
