Installation driver SATA T410s

I have a stable of machines T410s supplied with XP Pro loaded. I need to install Exterprise XP Pro. Unfurtunately, once the version Enterprise edition is installed, the SATA driver not install and we're stuck in the Compatibility Mode.

I have the driver (from the machine NIB and Web site) and try the gorging method (update driver / do not search / must drive/point iaStor.inf IMSM folder [taken from web download and installation of WinXP Factory]). The blue machine during the installation screens. Anybody get a load this driver?

Hi bhnelson,

I don't know exactly what steps you have taken, but I think what might be the problem is that you have never run the install.cmd.

Try to download this driver, run to extract and it should be under 'C:\DRIVERS\WIN\IRST ':

http://www-307.IBM.com/PC/support/site.WSS/document.do?sitestyle=Lenovo&lndocid=MIGR-74431

(optionally you can download a more recent version of this driver directly from Intel)

Then follow these steps (since you already have Windows XP running and set of compatibility mode I guess you could start with step 9):

1. turn off the computer.
2. turn on the computer.
3. press the F1 key to enter the BIOS Setup utility when the ThinkPad logo is visible on the screen. The BIOS configuration utility menu will be displayed. If a password prompt appears, type the password.
4. Select Configuration.
5 Select Serial ATA (SATA).
6. Select compatibility.
7. press the F10 key to save the new configuration, click Yes.
8 restart the computer.
9. go on C:\DRIVERS\WIN\IRST\PREPARE, and then double-click install.cmd.
10. power on the computer.
11. press the F1 key to enter the BIOS Setup utility when the ThinkPad logo is visible on the screen. The BIOS configuration utility menu will be displayed. If a password prompt appears, type the password.
12. Select Configuration.
13. Select Serial ATA (SATA).
14 select AHCI.
15. press the F10 key to save the new configuration, click Yes. The computer will restart and Windows XP will start.
16. the "Welcome to the new hardware detected" appears. Click on no, not this time and then click Next.
17. Select install from a list or specific location (Advanced) and then click Next.
18. Select search for the best driver in these locations. Select include this location in the search:, specify the path, C:\DRIVERS\WIN\IRST, and then click Next. The "completing the new hardware found" appears.
19. click on finish.
20. when the "System settings change" window appears, click Yes. The computer restarts.

Yesterday, I bought my pc and I'm still not functioning normally.

Initially, I have no cd with drivers.
    I need to download some.

    Hello

Don t know how you tried to install the SATA drivers, but this must be done without a doubt before, you are going to install the XP operating system.
During the installation process you must press the F6 key to include the drivers of external USB FDD.
I you don t have an external USB FDD drive and then use the 3rd party software called nLite to create a new XP CD and include the SATA drivers.

Driver SATA can be found in the Intel Matrix Storage Manager which can also be downloaded from the Intel page.

  • Vista does not recognize my drive sata hard.

    • I have a Sony Vaio and this laptop is running Vista on a drive sata hard and the hard drive failed, I am trying to load Vista on a clean hard disk SATA of Toshiba. Vista does not see the hard disk and can not find the drivers for the SATA hard drive. I called Toshiba and they said that the hard drive is plug-and-play this is why there is no drivers and asked me to call Sony to the motherboard drivers. Sony said that you need for the Vaio recovery disc. I ordered the recovery disks and still have the same result. I have checked the BIOS and can not see anywhere to set up a sata drive. What can I do to fix this?

    Hi Dl54,

    A. is the hard drive is detected in the BIOS?

    B. what happens when you restart the computer?

    C. you get errors?

    D. What is the exact error message that you receive?

You can check if the drive is detected in the BIOS, but will not all SATA configuration option in the BIOS.

I suggest you to download the SATA drivers on the Sony site on a flash drive and load it during the installation.

After that you start from the vista DVD, follow the instructions on the screen to install vista. You will see a screen where you choose the partition to install vista. You will find an option to load a driver on the same screen to the bottom of the left hand of the window.

Click load a driver > Browse to the location of the drivers and start installing the drivers.

    Please answer in return.

  • Need driver SATA for satellite L500D

    Hello

I'm looking for the driver SATA install a hard drive in a 2.5 Satellite L500D and Windows 7.
    Do you have a solution?

    Thank you

Message was edited: assignment has been translated

Your Satellite L500D does support the ATI graphics card?

In this case the GPU ATI driver contains the chipset and SATA drivers.
This means that we must look in the folder of the graphics card to a compatible SATA driver driver.

  • I used 32bit_ATI_SB7xx_RAID & AHCI_driver_v9-4_WHQL and sp43839 driver SATA

    Hello.
I am trying to install Windows XP on my G6 Pavilion, because I can't stand Windows 7/8 more, but each time I try, the operating system does not recognize my hard drive. (I don't have blue screen anymore, just doesn't recognize when to list the storage)

I tried many ways... install on my USB on my external hard drive but every time that a mistake came.

Anyway, if anyone of you could help me, that would be fine.

    The information here...

    1.: I tried 32bit_ATI_SB7xx_RAID & AHCI_driver_v9-4_WHQL and sp43839 driver SATA

    2.: P/N: C8D27EA #ABF

    PCI\VEN_1022 & DEV_7804 & CC_010601
    PCI\VEN_1022 & DEV_7804 & CC_0106

PS: On the IDE ATA/ATAPI controllers list there are only "AMD SATA CONTROLLER", so I took the information from there. There is no Controller AHCI SATA and the only thing he is "AMD SATA CONTROLLER". Hope that's all.

    Other information, just in case:

    HP Pavilion 2203sf G6;

    Windows 7/8 works fine, but I want Windows XP;

    That's all.
Thank you very much for the support.

    Kind regards

    Andi.

    Hi, Andi:

There are only two ways to install sata drivers when using XP... using a floppy drive then select the driver you need, or "slipstreaming" drivers.

Here is the link to find out how to integrate the drivers.  See amd and then read the downloadable PDF for "slipstreaming" all pilots.

    http://h30434.www3.HP.com/T5/notebook-operating-systems-and-software/SATA-drivers-for-XP-solution-on-0x0000007B-BSOD/m-p/114120#M17758

I have attached the XP drivers, you need to use.  They will need to be decompressed.

As you can see on the copy and paste of the setup information file, the hardware ID for the controller sata to your laptop is supported by this driver.

  • HP Pavilion G7-1328dx: basis of slow AMD driver Sata on AMD HP G7-1328dx

We have two laptops HP Pavilion:

    (1) HP G6-1328dx with Intel i3 and Intel chipset and controller Sata Intel running a Samsung SSD 840 very well with high expected random read/write time.

    and

    (2) HP-G7-1328 x with AMD Llano A6 - 3420 M procvessor with a built-in AMD chipset and a controller Sata AMD running a Samsung 850 EVO SSD in much slower times of random read/write - way below the Samsung should both read/write random.  50 to 60% slower.

Both laptops G6 and G7 have 3 Sata hard drives, AHCI is enabled on both, and both are running as Windows 7 SP1 64 bit OS.

So the problem is why the Samsung 850 EVO runs slower on the G7 countries than the base model Samsung 840 runs on the laptop G6?

Y at - it a update controller driver Sata AMD that will solve this problem or another solution that will do?

Configurations on the settings and software for the two laptops are almost identical in all other respects.

Sorry for the delay.  After having just tried with the Sata Driverss AMD and the AMD Catalyst drivers from HP and direct AMD regret to inform that the results are much the same.

Also online and found a user with a similar motherboard AMD based running a comparable SSD.  He was asked to compare how fast sound SSD race with mine and compared both with how fast SSD manufacturers say the random read/write time should be.

The line at the bottom is the user that had the same experience I did, I found.  Both of us see the read/write random times on our SSD, which is much slower than what we get on motherboards Intel based with the chipsets Intel and Intel Sata AHCI controllers.

Guess that's just the way it is.

This is my opinion only. Someone else may have different results.

  • Windows Vista will not complete installation on SATA hard drive

I tried to install Windows Vista Home Premium 32 bit on a new desktop computer Acer X 1200 (less than 1 year).  Vista recognizes the drive, format and copy all the files on the disk installation.  Then restarts, is preparing to launch for the first time and get to the part where it says installation finished and hangs there.  The green progress bar does not move and it hangs indefinitely.  The hard drive is SATA and I put a new disc in hard, but exactly the same thing happened.  The motherboard has no IDE port on it and there is no option in the BIOS for the IDE emulation.  At this point I think the motherboard is bad, but I am working also on a laptop HP 1 year with SATA hard drive that does exactly the same thing.  The two systems are pre-installed with Vista Home Premium.  The two systems see the hard drive, but will not complete installation.  I even tried to run the WD Tools Data Lifeguard before installation with no luck at all.  There is no error message or error code, just of hangs and end no installation.  You have any suggestions for this?  Thank you.

What was my problem I bought the equipment... like motherboard, memory, cpu, and video

  • HP G71-329WM: driver Sata necessary for the installation CD of Windows to see the new hard drive

I have my own Windows 7 disk that can be used to install a lean and clean the operating system, however, it seems that the hard drive is not recognized without a sata driver any. I had to do this once with an HP laptop so that the Windows Setup CD see the hard drive. Unfortunately, I do not see such a driver downloads available for this laptop model. Can make you a suggestion on where I can find this driver?

    Hello:

With the material of your laptop, you should not need the driver but here is the link for those that you need...

The first file is for 32-bit and one for 64-bit.

    https://Downloadcenter.Intel.com/Detail_Desc.aspx?DwnldID=18668&lang=eng

To install the driver, download and uncompress the files that you need a USB FlashDrive without all records.

With the flash player and the installation of W7 media connected to the computer, boot from the installation of W7 media.

After selecting the install now option, select the training - Advanced menu, Options and select the option load a driver.

You should now see the storage driver files listed.

If you check the box, it only includes the compatible driver.

Follow the prompts and I hope, will install W7.

  • Windows 7 will not install on my hard drive SATA III, even if the installer and menu of the BIOS are localization.

The controller is enabled for all SATA connectors and the drive is one of the SATA 3.0 Gbit/s ports, I've heard is a way to get through. However, it did not, either. Can anyone help?

Here is what I am dealing with, set up a few hours ago:
    -Intel DH77KC card
    -Intel Core i7 - 2600K 3.4 Ghz processor
-Disk hard Western Digital 1 TB black
-Corsair Vengeance 16 GB of Ram
    -Corsair TX650 80Bronze
    -Windows 7 Home Premium 64-bit
It starts, and then Windows 7 gets no more than it will not be installed on the hard disk. I can't make a new partition, either, nor can I format the drive in the window. The BIOS settings do not exactly help because I'm not using RAID and FDI does not do.
    Maybe there's something wrong.

Try to remove 3 branches if theyre 4 GB each. See if it installs. If so, put the 3 branches after windows has been installed

This BIOS is on it at the mo?

  • Installation of XP using F6 to install driver SATA controllers. which adapter?

This is my first experience with and try to install a fresh copy of XP to a SATA HDD (in a new ThinkPad T60). I got regarding locating and loading the Drivers Intel Matrix Storage Manager installation. But now has four adpaters SCSI to choose from:

How do I know that you choose (I've never started the ThinkPad) or is it important?

PS, I see only an adater (second) seems to be highlighted by default and is one of the two referred to in this description of the Lenovo driver. The other card mentioned does not appear on the list. What are the chances that by default, this is the right one and I could damage anything if I chose, but was not sure it was the right SCSI adapter?

Since my original post I took a chance and proceeded to load the preslected SCSI card, but still deadlocked when installing XP says: Setup did not find any hard drives installed in my computer.

    Any ideas? Thank you

I read and use a number forums regarding a certain number of topics or interests, especially to help myself and thus am especially able to solve the problem I encounter. I do not often post except to help others help me or offer help to others. I don't want to be selfish, but especially there are others out there much more competent than me who are willing to and troubleshoot.

In this case however, I thought and turned to this Lenovo community forum was the most appropriate for the first time and even contacted Lenovo telephone assistance for an answer to my problem.

I don't want to seem ungrateful, but Lenovo Technical Support, nor anyone navigating this forum offered no help in what I just accidentally discovered is a simple solution to a simple problem. And it's like desricbed, only four adapters are displayed when the method F6 during installation of XP to install SATA driver controllers, which none worked or put in correspondence adapter described in the support page this driver Lenovo or Lenovo support this page describes how to install Windows XP for T60 and T60p ThinkPads.

Unbelieveablely support Lenovo nor anyone browsing these forums has been able to tell me, it's that Microsoft in the XP installation does not indicate that additional adapters can be found (hidden) simply using up or down keys to scroll. Once I did that I saw the card that I had to choose, continue and have windows 'See' the SATA hard drive.

So there you have it for technical support from Lenovo or anyone who could not install XP on a ThinkPad T60 using and following the Instructions and Intel Matrix Storage Manager Driver and instead, was first to enter the BIOS. CONFIG and change the value for SATA of DCIS of compatibility to install the drivers and then subsequently modify the BIOS again:

You need the Intel Storage Manager. This package contains the SATA drivers to use the AHCI mode which has better performance than the compatible mode.

The drivers, you can integrate with nLite ([www.nliteos.com]). It of pretty easy to use and I have good experience with this tool.
