• Converter Standalone Agent installation failed, error code: 1601

  Hi all

  I downloaded the VMware converter tryware version, to see if we can use this tool to create virtual machines from existing industrial PC.

  We intend to make a test remote backup to a XP to a laptop machine (to keep mobile in an industrial environment)

  I installed you VMware converter and disabled the firewall on both machines.

  I also disabled the network drives that are shared on the remote computer.

  When data powered the remote computer has been entered (ip address, username, PW, BONE family) and press us Next, the pop-up appears to deploy the Agent of Standalone converter.

  If you press 'Yes' to continue, after a minute or two the following message appears:

  -Converter Standalone Agent installation failed, error code: 1601 -.

  Can someone tell me what this error code means and how I can fix this error?

  Windows Installer error 1601 = The Windows Installer service could not be accessed. Contact your support team to verify that the Windows Installer service is properly registered.

  Additionally, make sure that the appropriate ports are open to allow the Windows agent to settle.

  Alternatively, you can manually install the converter on the remote system agent... and then try to restart the conversion (then there is no need to install anything).

  I own a legal copy of DVD of Windows 7 64-bit. I'm trying to reinstall it on my computer, which, for the time being, has no operating system installed, but 13% of expanding windows files, I always get the following error message:

  Windows cannot install required files. The file may be corrupted or missing. Make sure all files required for installation are available, and restart the installation. Error code: 0 x 80070017

  What is the problem, how can I fix it? Is my Windows 7 disc damaged?

  If you have downloaded Windows 7 and it burned a DVD test burn again at the slowest speed possible. It is also possible the download may have errors, you can try to download it again.

  If you have several hard drives remove all except the one that you install Windows 7, and then replace it after Windows 7 is installed.

  Disconnect all external devices except the keyboard and mouse before installing.

  If using a video card and the computer has integrated video use and remove the video card.

  Unplug the computer from the internet, if you have wireless disable.

  RAM (memory) - reduce the amount of RAM. 1 GB if 32-bit installation, 2 GB for 64-bit, then replace RAM if the upgrade was successful. If you added new RAM make sure it is also compatible.

  Windows 7 installation disc does not

  Just a few troubleshooting steps to see if the drive is bad or if the DVD player is bad:

  If you have another DVD player available try to use this drive in your computer instead.

  If you have another computer available, try the disc of Windows 7 by using this computer and see if it can read the disc, or if the disc cannot be read and is bad.

  In addition, if you purchased the retail version of Windows 7 try to put in the other disk of type bit of the Windows 7 disc and see if it works properly.

  Follow these methods.

  Method 1: Follow these steps:

  1. go to the Skype website (see resources links to download Skype for Windows, Mac and Linux) and download the executable SkypeSetup.exe.

  (The software is installed under the Program Files folder in a directory called Skype, which is automatically created. A Skype installer icon is automatically created on your desktop).

  2. click on the Skype Setup icon located on your desktop. A Skype Setup Wizard will appear. You will get a warning window asking if you want to run or save this file: SkypeSetup.exe. Click on 'run '.

  Note: Another confirmation message may appear, asking if you are sure you want to run this software. Click again on 'run '.

  3 follow the instructions on the Skype Setup Wizard to complete the installation of the Skype software. At the end of the installation, you will be asked to create a Skype account.

  Recently I've just upgraded to windows 7 10, and in the process, I uninstalled my Photoshop CS6. After the upgrade is finished, I headed to the adobe website to install Photoshop once more, soon for a new creative cloud service. I launched the installer of creative cloud, and once it was done, I clicked on the try button next to Photoshop, as well as other programs such as first and hearing that I used to have in the past. Unfortunately a few days later I walked directly into a virus online and random programs began to install on my desktop. I panicked! I decided to do a restore of the system on my machine for a few days earlier, (unfortunately the timestamp was set before I installed all new adobe programs ) scanned for viruses and malware and cleaned my machine once more. After I did, I installed the installer of creative cloud again to see now that it was the fate by a few seconds in. I was confused, so I made online searches to quickly find this "creative cloud cleaning tool" provided by adobe. Gave him a quick run, cleaned up all the old files that remained, and installed right accelerated through good as new again. Shortly after I clicked the button 'Try' next to Photoshop, it went through the entire download process and then display in orange text, «Installation Failed - more». Only, this became more frustrated at the minute... I decided to try the same installation process on the first, and it's the same thing; «Failed to install - more». • Vista SP2 Installation fails (error 800706BE Code) via Windows Update

  I am running Windows Vista Business (32-bit) SP1 and I noticed that Vista SP2 is available for download by manually checking in Windows Update last night.  After having seen that it is a large download (more), I started the download, left my PC and left the House.  When I got home, my screensaver was away and when I attamped my password to disable the screen saver and see where I was in the process of updating, my password did not work.  Then I did a hard reboot but then could not connect under my admin user account.  I've then logged in as my wife (standard user - no password) and went to Windows Update where I noticed that the SP2 for Vista Installation fails (error 800706BE Code).  I spent most of last night and all today so far tried to solve this problem.  There are several problems here... When I click on "Install" in Windows Update, I get a message of "is not necessary: 1 update" (even when I look in the installed updates it says that the update failed).  If it is not necessary, then why is it listed as an important update that must be installed?  Endless loop... In addition, I'm not a password reset for my connection because I have a password saved on a flash drive.  Then I tried using all the older passwords that I remembered and none worked.  Shift caps lock was not on either.  I've logged in as my wife, went to the Microsoft Download page and eventually find the link to download the standalone version of SP2 Vsita, but after downloading the massive file, I didn't have the right to install it because I can not connect as an adminstator!

  Thank you very much for your suggestions!  Your suggestion of restarting, press F8 and choose "repair your computer" worked.  I was able to do a system restore and I chose a date where my old password was still in use (I had just been invited to change a few days before I tried to download Vista SP2).  In addition to losing my cookies and automatically complete IE8 - everything is back to normal.  I have not yet tried a 2nd try to SP2, and I'm very hesitant to do it now!

  Thank you for all the answers. Finally managed to get installed it. Download 4 times. Whenever he stopped at different percentages, so I expected the download is corrupt. Finally in the format of my other readers, installed windows 7 on it and then downloaded windows 8. Finally, it worked. Had to be something with my player.

  Maybe you run an earlier version of the display drivers and so you should uninstall them before you start the upgrade.
  Check it!

  After the upgrade, you can install the latest version of the Toshiba page display driver.
