Install Windows 8 on HP Touchsmart 520 is really a nightmare. Usually, the display driver installation procedure and Voltron Touchscreen product error 9998 drivers. Oddly, I managed to somehow work around this by using a different display driver (some beta-version of Intel), but it was buggy. Since the reinstallation of Win 8 I can't to install more touch screen driver. Given that the Touchsmart series sells on its touchscreen capabilities and given the fact that HP relies on the Microsoft OS is not only slightly irritating that HP has so far not been able to provide drivers of devices that work well with Win 8 Release Preview. • Contact ID installation problem

    Hi all

I have a problem with the id of contact on the iphone 6 s

    Some info:

    IPhone 6 s/16 GB/Ios 9.3. (current recent)

    The question:

I bought this phone recently, I went to go set up touch Id simply by going to settings > Touch ID and password > type the access code in >

When I went I saw off iphone unlock and itunes and app store turned off.

I tried to turn it on, but it shows the touchscreen tutorial id for a fraction of a second and then instantly said "failed, unable to complete touch installation id. Please go back and try again. »

IV ' e tried to restart the phone and nothing.

Also where it says 'Add fingerprint... '. "it is greyed out and I can't type on it

It is not a question of cleaning anything.

I also tried to contact apple, it seems as if they don't understand the problem they tried to redirect me to this link

    https://support.Apple.com/en-us/HT201371

but it doesn't help nor solve my problem, I feel that this is a rare problem.

Thanks for your time, suggestions or advice are appreciated! :))

First, you must update your software to the latest version, 9.3.5.

Have you tried the basic troubleshooting steps recommended by Apple?  Reboot, reset, restore from a backup.

If these steps do not solve your problem, you will need to restore your phone as a NEW device, do not use backup at all.  Once you restore your device as new, and before you put applications or data on it, try again to configure the contact ID.  If that fails, you most likely have a hardware problem and you will need to bring your phone to Apple for review and likely replacement.

  • Click-Mini satellite L9W - B - Linux installation issues

    Hello

I try to install linux on a toshiba mini-click L9W - B. Since I was able to boot with the USB (UEFI only) I've got trouble finding drivers to be able to use the card Wifi and the keyboard Dock.

Ony 8.2 debian is able to start with a touchscreen to work but without network...

Is anyone have positive results in the deployment of linux on toshiba mini-click L9W - B? Any working linux distribution?

    Thank you
    Best regards, Freddy.

Given that I have no answer, I will publish my own test results here:

From my own tests with toshiba mini click, you'll be able start vfat usb key with a well formatted starting efi directory and file (/ efi in your USB). BIOS even in version 5.10 can't start legacy.

8.1 32-bit Windows usb Windows 8.1 build key is able to start on click mini (ntfs file system) and 64-bit Windows usb key build of Windows 8.1 8.1 64-bit does not start on click mini. I suspect, that chat on the forum of the EU of toshiba, toshiba mini click bios to start using 32-bit efi startup plans on efi/boot/bootia32.efi.

Here's a way to start any distro of linux of your mini click using a usb key with the vfat file system:
1 - try to boot with a USB stick to gparted (vfat file system)
    2. get the boot efi files / (including a grub.cfg file)
    3. use the directory/boot/efi on the new USB that you create, you have managed to boot linux change efi/boot/grub.cfg.

Try Manjaro (ArchLinux) distribution, this distribution has the best material of support right here. 15.04 - Ubuntu or Debian - 8.2 may work in some time, always missing drivers in the installation process.

Try to remove grey pilots and EGalax driver, reboot and see which installs Windows 10. Should not install a non-compliant driver.

  • Touchscreen and the noise of the fan U920T - 11 c satellite fails sometimes

    Hello

    I just bought the U920T - 11 c a few days ago.
I love him but he some of the questions they put me down and make me want to go back.

The first problem is the loud fan noise that lights up. Is there anyway to turn this off?

Happens about 15 minutes using the web and then turns on and off every 5 minutes. It's really strong and be in the break room, it is noticeable.

Can I do to stop this? I'm only using the web and not running other programs.

I also noticed that the touch screen fails to respond without particular reason. I don't know if there is a trend, but it's frustrating when it stops just for no reason and then sometimes everything works again.

Looking at these forums it seems that it is a common problem with the Toshiba. I have a few days before I can return, so if they are not resolved, I think that I might go just form the Samsun ATIV book 9 Lite instead.

    Thank you

    > Happens about 15 minutes using the web and then turns on and off every 5 minutes. It's really strong and be in the break room, it is noticeable.

I assumed that the noise comes from fans who need to run more quickly if the internal temperature would increase.
What you could do is change cooling performance module in single power management.
You could also decrease the performance of the processor. This would lead to a lower heat dissipation and the fans slow down.

    > Also, I noticed that the touch screen fails to respond without particular reason. I don't know if there is a trend, but it's frustrating when it stops just for no reason and then sometimes everything works again

You could try to calibrate the digitizer
Go to the control panel (Windows key + X-> Control Panel)-> Tablet PC setting.

The first display tab contains options such as configure screen stylus and touchscreen.
Here, you should be able to start the installation program and identify the touchscreen.

The first option must contain 1 internal LCD
At the bottom, you might find button to calibrate and reset the settings for the internal LCD.

But it could also be a hardware malfunction. I can't say for sure why this happens, but perhaps a technician should take a look at the material.

  • Satellite C50T-A382 - updated to Win 8.1 Pro & touchscreen support

    Dear all

I am currently the owner of Toshiba Satellite C50T-A382 machine which has preinstalled Windows 8.1 edition in plain language.

I now want to upgrade to Windows 8.1 Pro Edition, however I'm worried if updated to Win 8.1 Pro, it will support not my touch screen, because I read many comments on the Internet about other brands, like H.P., happens, etc. where users have upgraded to Windows Pro Win SL 8.1 8.1 and their support of the touchscreen is so more than work.

Very would be grateful if someone could inform if it would still technically support my support for touch screen or not?

    Thank you.

    Concerning
    Tan

I put t see serious reasons why the touch screen is not working after these updates.
The driver that controls the touchscreen part of Windows 8.1 System. It s not supplied by the factory for laptop (Toshiba, etc.), but it of a Microsoft driver.

However, in most laptop cases factory provides own systems preconfigured and tested, including all drivers and additional software. All other systems, own hand are not supported by device manufacturers.

    What does that mean?
This means that in the case of certain problems (after the installation of another system) you will be always asked to test the device original system preinstalled and preconfigured.

  • 8 cost of Windows Installer on hp envy x 2

    Hello
I recently Bough the HP Envy x 2 (11-g000ew), as well as the Windows 8 Pro 32 bit on DVD.
The laptop works very well, I've updated to the latest BIOS (F.12) and wanted to do a new installation of Windows.
I created a boot USB from the DVD drive, it started successfully, but on the first screen it hangs (the window where you select the language options).
The laptop respond to any input from the keyboard, press the key or touch screen (the mouse cursor is not visible)
I tried with a second USB key, but it hung again.

The funny is that I tried the thumb drives on my other laptop (Asus Intel Core based) and it didn't start from these usb drives. What I'm missing here?

    Thanks in advance.

Well, I solved my problem, if you could call it.

The problem is that Windows install is not recognize the keyboard, track pad and touchscreen of the urge to delve into an external mouse to the usb port solved the problem. The funny part is that he didn't work with my Logitech wireless and I had to use a wired mouse.

In any case the new facility has been a success and everything works fine.
A shame that HP has not found a way to at least work on touch screen without drivers, it would make the installation a little easier.

  • Installation of KB2686509 and get the error 0xF0F4 (WinXP SP3 integrated)

I have a number of point of sales systems that we are trying to get updated, and while any other update installed correctly, this last updated simply won't be installed.

-FaultyKeyboard.log file is generated and consists of a single entry: kbd106.dll.  This dll does not exist anywhere on the devices in question.  In addition, there is no entry in hklm\System\CurrentControlSet\Control\Keyboard Layouts\ to this .dll.  The only entry in the registry that I can find about this file is in hklm\System\CurrentControlSet\Control\Terminal Server\KeyboardsType Mapping\JPN\, and removing the entry, followed by resetting clearly isn't the issue.  To be clear: the test at this stage machine doesn't have the .dll file or all the registry entries that apply and it continues to generate the FaultyKeyboard.log file.

-Downloaded and run the Fixit50882 to see if he can do something more than what I did manually. It returns a message that "this Microsoft Fix it does not apply to your operating system or version of the application.  A not uncommon issue given that as long as they are XP machines in almost every way, they embedded XP.

-J' manually checked that there are no results for map IgnoreRemoteKeyboardLayout and ScanCode anywhere in the registry.

-Here is an excerpt of the file kb2686509.log for the last attempt to install:

-Regarding changes to systems, they are few. Previously, they had been in a subnet isolated, unable to be routed.  With the evolution of the security standards, we had to set them up so that they could be updated.  It necessary to change the subnet to be routable, but with a firewall very limited for the subnet, configure a WSUS server for updates for devices, change the levels of NTLM authentication, installation of the SP3 for devices that were missing, install Windows Update Client v3, import of configuration of WSUS in the registry database (as they are not on the field) and install Bit9 agent in the single mode of visibility.  WSUS shows that 220 updates have been installed, 3 have not been installed and 1 failure (2686509).

-The devices in question are touchscreen point of sale devices and don't have connected keyboards (but have USB available).

I managed to track down a copy of the kbd106.dll file and copy it in the %SystemRoot%\System32 folder, which seems to have allowed the update complete at last.  The challenge was to find a good copy of the file in question.

  • Acer Aspire R7: Touchscreen suddenly stopped working

    Hey everybody,

I have an Aspire R7 (running 64-bit Windows 8). Yesterday morning my touchscreen suddenly stopped working.

After each start, I see an error in the event log stating something like "Driver\WUDFRd could not load the driver for the device HID\VID_0483 & PID_91D1 & Col01\7 & 1b0945e0 & 0 & 0000.

In Device Manager there is no device showing an error or something. In the category "Monitor" it is only a PnP monitor listed - shouldn't the TouchInput unit shown here? Edit: I also looked through the HID devices: the appliance with the ID hardware event log message is not there, too.

I tried reinstalling the drivers HID-monitor using Acer Recovery Manager, but nothing else happens after showing some information like 'installation'. Also, there is no change in Device Manager.

I also removed the "PnP Monitor' of Device Manager and began a 'search for new hardware", but that doesn't lead to the "PnP Monitor' be reinstalled.

I also perform a factory reset, but that did not help, as well.

I would really appreciate help from anyone. I'm at work now, so I wouldn't be able to test stuff until about 17:00 (MEST).

    Kind regards

    Jan

I found the reason of my touch screen doesn't respond do not: if I position the screen in a very precise angle - 'almost' tablet mode - the screen reacts to the keys and of the previously disabled HID devices becomes active. I had sent in my laptop for repair after a default display - apparently in some sort the touch sensor was not back in place correctly when the screen has been replaced

Seems that now I have to send my laptop in another repair (making three repairs for this laptop - the default mentioned display occurred after the motherboard has been replaced by the same Acer repair center)
