  I vSphere 4.x environment to IBM 3650 and half B200M2 (a group consisting of the 3650 and a group consisting of the B200M2).  IBM machines are 2 socket quad core with 34 GB of memory and Cisco are 2 Socket 6 core with 48 GB of memory.  Workloads on IBM and Cisco ESXi hosts are the same.  For most of 2008 and Windows 2003 machines.  On IBM machines, I move 1 GB, 2 GB of shared memory (common shared memory - amount of memory that is shared by all virtual machines powered and vSphere services on host machine) on each ESXi host.  On Cisco machines, I get around 15 MB on each ESXi host. Considering that it is one of the great features of VMware (sharing of memory) why is there such a huge disparity between the machines?  Is it because the Cisco blades NUMA machines?  Is there a setting I'm missing?  It's a huge difference.  I don't regret getting the UCS stuff I like it but it is the big novelty of the VMware that does not work with the UCS.

  I did a search on the licenses of VM and found the VMware vSphere Essentials Plus Kit that allows VMware vSphere 5 Essentials Plus Kit 3 guests (Max 2 processors per host) and 192 GB vRAM right.

  It seems that I can use the VMotion with this approval as well? But I dun on the right of vRAM 192GO? My features of material meets the criteria? 2 x 6-8 cores CPU / 32 GB of physical RAM on each host and the ESXI host MAXIMUM number is 3 for my office. Thanks for the help.

  Unfortunately, your copy of Windows 7 Ultimate is a counterfeit.  This is a pirated version of an OEM copy, which includes an exploit to illegally bypass product activation.  I suggest that you contact the seller and ask for a 100% refund.

  For you non-genuine problem, you will need to purchase an authentic edition "full version" of Windows 7 for each computer and perform a "clean installation" complete.  You can acquire genuine Windows 7 from the Microsoft Store.

  BTW, there was never any version 3 legitimate user of Windows 7 Ultimate license.  Your seller apparently invented this story to get you to buy its fraudulent goods.

  MSFT Windows has no drivers of enic fnic UCS preinstalled with the distribution of iso.

  ESXi has, but most likely not one who demands that the UCS support matrix.

  I have an ESXi 4.1 with the free license installed on a Dell Poweredge 1950. I joined it to our domain Active Directory and everything was working great until yesterday. Whenever someone tries to login with 'Use Windows Session Credentials', it will fail with a simple dialog box to the customer indicating 'gss_acquire_cred failed' and 'Ok '. If I manually type domain\username and password, it connects fine. What is happening on both XP and Win7 clients. I first thought that it was a customer problem isolated until I started to do as well - then I saw errors in the hostd.log on the server. I tried to restart the server without effect. Any ideas?

  Here is how I fixed the issue of credentials of Session Windows journal.

  SSH on the ESXi host.

  Change directory to/scratch/var/tmp

  Delete the host_0 file (or move it to another location if you want to play safe).

  By using the vSphere client, open a session on the ESXi host by selecting the option use Windows logon credentials.  This should work, and host_0 gets recreated.

  I have to admit, I don't know what this file is or how it suddenly is corrupt, but recreate is seems to fix the problem.
