• OfficeJet Pro 6975: 6975 printer Installation stand. Problem installation of ink cartridges.

  Printer is just out of the box.  Installation instructions for the installation of ink cartridges call for lifting of the top cover (with window).  I woke up using inlays of hand on each side.  But the top panel seems to be stuck on the left side.  The right side is free and can be lifted, but not the left.  What Miss me?  Help...   Thanks for the leap here, 8Lives.  I turned off the printer earlier, left for a while, and when I get back, tried again to open the top panel.  He opened.  No idea if market / stop is behind these events, but it's the only thing that has changed.

  Follow the steps below and check if it solves the problem:

  Step 1: Start the Windows Installer service and check what is happening.
   
  1. Click Start, type Services.msc and press [ENTER]

  2. double-click on Windows Installer.

  3. set the Windows Installer to Manual startup type.

  4. Click Start to start the service. Note the error message, if any.

  5. click on OK.

  Step 2: Run Windows installation install 4.5 administrator.

  You can try to run the Setup file of Windows install 4.5 Administrator and check whether you can solve the problem.

  To run the installer as administrator, do the following:

  1. right click on icon configuration file and then click Run as administrator.

  2. When you are prompted for an administrator password or a confirmation, type the password or click on continue

• Windows Installer + VSS + Windows problems in Windows 7 SP1 Activation

  I used this Windows 7 machine for 5 years now and has recently encountered several problems, which probably are closely linked:

  1. Windows installation problem
  Can't update programs, although new install if they do need Windows Installer to do. Most but not all Windows not updates install.

  2. the problem of volume shadow copy Service

  Failed to create system restore points. With VSS errors appear when I try to do. No previous restore point is available.

  3. Activation of Windows problem
  A pop up keeps appearing every 1 or 2 hours, saying that my computer is not running genuine Windows. Obviously nonsense since this PC was bought during the original Service Pack 1 of Windows 7 and I've never had a problem before.

  I searched a lot online to solve all these problems. I tried hundreds of possible solutions, but nothing has worked. I think that it is all caused by the same thing, but I am unable to find it.

  I posted for the first time the other day with my old Deskjet F2280 all-in-one printer, who had given me no problems at all until very recently. Out of the blue asked me suddenly to reinstall the software, which has ended up creating different problems.

  To cut a long story short, I followed the advice kindly given by people on this forum, and the situation seems to have been resolved; I've actually identified as such. The next day, however, as soon as I turned on my laptop, I was greeted with a message telling me that the printer has not  been successfully installed.

  I tried to uninstall, reinstall (with and without Microsoft Fix - it), deleting orders from registry, etc, and nothing seems to work. Installation process seems to  run smoothly, but in the final set up phase, after the preparation and then the installation, the computer still hangs or crashes.

  I don't understand why this problem came suddenly to the top, or how I might solve this problem.

  I would really appreciate if anyone has an alternative solution.

  Finally managed to solve the problem myself after a day and a half of an attempt of everything under the Sun!

  The answer lies in installing only the essential: the HP standard package includes all types of applications for photoediting, for the purchase of products HP etc online (remember not all at the present time), and I didn't know that initially it is possible to choose exactly which ones to install. I chose just the all-in-one driver software, the center of Solution and the update of HP, and then everything is quickly and easily.

  I have the impression that among the 'extras' previously on my laptop must have from created problems after the update.
